Long Sijue rushed over to Yu Garden where Long Beiqing resided. When he arrived, Su Qianxun was sitting on a couch by the window. She was leaning against the armrest. The sunlight shrouded her silhouette, and it made her seem a little hazy, as though she might disappear at any moment.
When Long Sijue saw this, for some reason, he felt something tugging at his heartstrings.
Long Beiqing said, “I saw Miss Su walking along the street alone this morning, and she seemed like she was in low spirits. A car almost crashed into her, too. This was why I asked her to get into my car. She told me that she couldn’t hear, and since I happen to have some special medication, I bought her home for treatment.”

“We’re siblings. You owe me nothing. But Miss Su doesn’t seem to be in a good mood. Do pay extra attention to her.” Long Beiqing’s voice was very gentle, and he did not sound aggressive at all.
Su Qianxun raised her head to glance at Long Sijue who was standing beside her. She then rose immediately and looked nervously at Long Beiqing.
“Come home with me.” Long Sijue grabbed her hand and started walking towards the door.
Su Qianxun forcefully withdrew her hand. Long Sijue looked at her with furrowed eyebrows, and it was obvious that he was kind of upset. The young woman turned to look at Long Beiqing and said, “Young Master Long, thank you for today.”
“There’s no need to thank me. Since you’re my younger brother’s girlfriend, it goes without saying that I should help you.” There was a sincere smile on Long Beiqing’s elegantly handsome face.
“You’re mistaken, I’m not his-” Su Qianxun looked rather baffled. ‘Why on earth does he think that I’m Long Sijue’s girlfriend?’
But before she could explain things, Long Sijue had drawn her into his embrace and hugged her tightly. What Long Beiqing said obviously pleased him. But the moment he recalled the way the young woman left without a word, his expression turned icy again.
“We’ll be taking our leave first!”
