“Don’t overthink it. You haven’t gotten pregnant,” Long Sijue said and wanted to kiss her.
Su Qianxun immediately turned her face away to avoid his kiss. Her voice sounded determined. “Can I meet the child in secret?”
Long Sijue did not answer.
“Can I?” Su Qianxun asked again. She refused to give up.
“We’ll do as the agreement says.”
His cold and emotionless words made Su Qianxun’s heart sink. She remembered the clause in the agreement very clearly. According to the agreement, after she gave birth to the child, her relationship with Long Sijue would end, and she was not allowed to see the child.
Su Qianxun shoved him away. She got up and sat down in a corner. She was in a daze at that moment. She merely stared blankly at the view outside the window. She used to assume that she would not care about the child. She wanted so badly to give birth to the baby and leave. She did not even consider what would happen to the child after that…

The car finally arrived at Jin Garden. Neither of them had spoken a word. Before the car stopped completely, Su Qianxun had already opened the door and hopped out of the vehicle. She could not bear the tense and suffocating atmosphere in the car.
Long Sijue extinguished his cigarette. He merely stared at the young woman as she left. Eventually, he got out of the vehicle without a word and went into the mansion.
Su Qianxun went to the kennel. When she entered the room, Storm was bullying Long Xiaoxun. It was obviously Long Xiaoxun like a ball, pushing the puppy around with its paw. Long Xiaoxun had a piteous, desperate look in its face. When it spotted Su Qianxun, it immediately started crying and whining.
When Storm saw Su Qianxun, it immediately withdrew its paw. It raised its head and glanced around as if pretending that it had not done anything wrong.
“Storm, do not bully Long Xiaoxun. You guys are friends. You’re supposed to help each other!” Su Qianxun walked over and patted Storm in the head. She then lifted Long Xiaoxun in her arms and sat down in a corner.
Seeing that, Storm immediately trotted towards her keenly and lay down next to her. It nudged her with its huge head every now and then. It seemed like it wanted Su Qianxun to pet it.
Su Qianxun put Long Xiaoxun on her lap. She rubbed its belly with one hand and pet Storm in the head with another. Both the large dog and puppy narrowed their eyes with pleased looks on their faces.
After Long Sijue returned to the study room, he planned to deal with some of the paperwork from the company. Instead, he sat in front of the desk for half an hour and did nothing. The computer screen before him had already dimmed. He was eventually jolted awake by the footsteps outside the door. He glanced at the watch on his wrist and realized that half an hour had already passed.
He still felt rather frustrated. He picked up a cigarette from the desk, lit it and started smoking. After he was done, he stood up and left the study room.
