It was like that because vampires couldn't touch water unless there is mixed a certain herb.

Right now, people started to surround Gabriel and Moka, leaving out Kurumu, Tsukune and the others and started to make photos, annoying Gabriel while Moka panicked a bit.

Gabriel just picked up Moka and ran somewhere, away from the people.

Since they were seen in the human world, Gabriel couldn't just go at the speed of sound and ran normally, they are behind a little mountain, near a park.

Gabriel: It was nothing, I was annoyed from them… Huh?

Gabriel: Someone is coming here, running…
Gabriel and Moka turned towards a certain direction and found a blue haired girl running towards them, she came near Gabriel and took out a notebook and a pen, then she wrote.
"Please help me, I'm being pursued."
Gabriel raised an eyebrow and looked behind the girl, seeing 5 men, they were armed and looked like people from Yakuza(Japanese Mafia).
Man 1: Hehe, finally you decided to stop…
Gabriel: *Sigh* I got it… Now what? Will you kidnap us somewhere? Will you try to kill us because we seen what you were doing? Let's just skip the threat part... 'Who cares, they are weak…'
Then Gabriel walked towards them and threw a light punch, breaking a guy's nose, that guy made fall a gun from his hand, which was picked up from Gabriel after he used his new ability to transform his hands in gloves to not leave imprints, then he shot them at the knees.
All 5 of them were kneeling with blood coming out from their knees, then Gabriel threw the gun in the water with the men, one after another, and left with the girl and Moka back at his friends.
Since they were just weak humans they would be tasteless, it would just consume time.
[Later]
The moon was slowly rising, it was late evening. The group was in a hotel with the mysterious girl Gabriel saved, she was writing something.
?: "Thank you so much."
Gabriel: It was nothing…
Yukari: She looks my age.
Moka: Why were those guys trying to get you?
The girl started to write again.
?: "Because I am a monster like all of you."
Kurumu: Eh?! What monster are you?
Mizore, Yukari and Kurumu were closing on her with an excited face, except Mizore who had her usual expressionless face. The girl panicked a bit and slowly backed away, until they heard a familiar voice.
?: What do y'all think you're doin'?! You're bein' awful rude! Don't y'all know who this is…?
Kurumu: Ack! That hick accent… Gin…
Yukari: And Ms. Nekonome!?
Kurumu panicked and whispered to the girl's ear.
Kurumu: Be careful! Gin's a total perv. He'll be grabbing your boobs the second you let your guard down!

Shizuka: San lives and works at the oceanside inn nearby. We're going to be staying there tonight, so I want you all to be on your best behavior, don't cause her any trouble.
San: "Please follow me to the inn"

Gabriel: Don't worry, Billy taught me some things, I may never beat him but I can play here against them…
Then Gabriel, followed from Moka, reached a table with a roulette and used his nen to predict where the ball will go.
Gabriel: I will bet everything, the ball will go to the black 23…
Extras: Oh? A challenger!/ 23? I think it will be 12/ Yeah, I bet 12 too./ He wants to bet everything? Hah! He will lose./ No one would really dare to make such a precise number...
The roulette slowed down, and the ball landed on 23, shocking everyone while Gabriel grinned.
Gabriel: I'll pick everything!
Then Gabriel extended an arm towards the money in the table and put it in a bag, no one did anything to stop him since they were both shocked and lost, so they couldn't get the money back.
Then Gabriel left the casino with Moka while smiling.
Moka: Wow… How did you know the place where the ball would go?
Gabriel: If you stay with Billy for some years you can pick some easy trick, even if I am not even the 1% of him, I am still good enough.
