Both Kuro and Shiro together with Vasuki agents were stupified from the course of action and didn't know what to do. Zelilios meanwhile congealed his kagune spear, and in a blink of the eye disposed of all Vasuki agents. Fortunately, there were only six or them, so they were killed rather fast.
Only people remaining alive were Kuro and Shiro who Lucien decided spare as they were also victims of Kano's experiments. Now, that he practically abandoned them for his own life and research, they were very conflicted deep inside and started to understand that for Kano they were just disposable paws that could be sacrificed in the times of need.

"Zelilios did you find something useful, besides failure projects and experiments on the ghoulification process?"

"Kill the rest, leave only three of them so the game is fair, then take one for yourself. I would be watching from here."
