CHAPTER 12- LETTER FROM YANLONG XU

No one will oppose him passing over the Spirit Nurturing God Stone to Lu Dingxing who needed to heal up.

To the elders of Purple Qilin Manor and Yellow Qilin Manor, the Qilin Gathering wasn’t something that could be changed in a day. The situation was bad now and no matter how anxious they were there was nothing they could do but sigh.

Ruohua also needed to contact her friends in Yanlong Xu regarding Jiang Junjian.

Who knows where those friends of Purple Qilin King hid to. None of them were willing to help at all.

Purple and Yellow Qilin Manor was in a state of unease and despair.

Many of the people holding power in the Yellow Qilin Manor doubted Jiang Yuan. They were tempted, lessening their contact with Purple Qilin Manor.

From the start, Jiang Shang and Jiang Liu should have went all out to persuade and recruit Jiang Yuan.

Jiang Zizai could see that he wasn’t too shrewd and charismatic and was not worth relying on.

He placed all his effort on cultivation.

After a period of time of settling down, he was able to control the true qi well.

The Lightning Finger and Dragon Travelling Step was actually of really good use to him using the Black Dragon True Qi.

After cultivating the Void Universe Soul Training Technique his understanding of the Primeval Saint Dragon Scripture also rose up.”

It was totally different from before when he used the Nine Extreme Dragon Drill Technique.

Unfortunately as he had to give the Spirit Nurturing God Stone over to Lu Dingxing it was extremely tough for him to open up another Spiritual Orifice.

He didn’t mention it to Ruohua if not she would have said that he was too ambitious and bold to try for the third one in such a short time.

That was because even Jiang Junjian who had a Heaven Grade Totem also wasn’t so quick.

Rushing things so much was basically failure to some people, it would even hurt their Spiritual Orifice.

If the Spiritual Orifice was rendered useless then it was totally not worth it. One would need to change one at it would be unable to form the true outline of the Life Totem. One’s strength would be not ideal.

However his soul was so strong now and his comprehension had increased. He was really confident in balancing three Spiritual Orifices.

“I have to take a slight risk.”

Without the Spirit Nurturing God Stone, this time he used spirit stones to replace.

Spirit stones were a type of spiritual mines a stone which absorbed large amounts of Heaven and Earth essence qi. It was dug out by people from the ground and modified.

The essence qi within could be used to speed up and accelerate cultivation.

Spirit stones were the most common currency in Yanlong Emperor Dynasty. Totem Martial Masters basically traded with spirit stones for things that even gold couldn’t buy.

Spiritual mines had twelve grades, so did spirit stones.

From Grade One to Grade Twelve.

Among which Grade Ten and Grade Eleven stones were called God Jade.

Grade Twelve spirit stones were really rare and were called Saint Jade.

Jiang Zizai places dozens of Grade One spirit stones around him to form a small sized Spirit Nurturing God Stone.

However the consumption speed would be really quick like that.

In the past he used his own ability to do business in Great Jiang City. He earned a lot of spirit stones which he gave to Su Qianyu to cultivate.

After all Lu Dingxing had his own parents and didn’t need his spirit stones.

Now the power that those spirit stones exchanged for sent Purple Qilin Manor into deep trouble. That was truly ironic.

However he was at ease.

Lu Dingxing’s injury made him understand that time was of the essence.

He was fully focused.

After his soul was improved, his control over Black Dragon True Qi became more familiar and strong.

This time two waves of Black Dragon True Qi merged together to form the Nine Extreme Dragon to head towards the third Spiritual Orifice- Shanzhong Acupoint.

Maybe because he suffered huge stabbing pain on his soul, now the pain from this wasn’t so scary anymore.

Belief made him hold on, he calmed down and proceeded forwards.

Cultivation was a type of control, strictly controlling each step. After one begun, being too anxious would be putting oneself in danger.

Nine Extreme Dragon, step by step drilling into the Shanzhong Acupoint.

Jiang Zizai didn’t find it difficult to control the current true qi he had.

That was because this Nine Extreme Dragon Drill Technique was really amazing. What seemed tough for others was much easier for him.

Consuming time and large amounts of spirit stones. He gritted his teeth.

Time flowed really slowly.

Sweat dripped down his forehead.

Finally the Shanzhong Acupoint was actually opened up by him.

A new seed was planted.

He swiftly activated the Dragon Swallowing Absorbing Technique, spending huge amounts of spirit stones to fill up his Shanzhong Acupoint to build up the new Spiritual Orifice.

“Martial Life Realm, Stage Three!”

With the new Spiritual Orifice built, he needed to balance out the three and also stabilise them.

So he needed to spend all his strength and effort to fill all of them up.

After all his cultivation speed was a little quick. Although he could use the Black Dragon True Qi in the three Spiritual Orifices but it was less stable.

Once he made a mistake it would be common for him to lose his mind.

“This Nine Extreme Dragon Drill Technique is truly amazing. I only took ten breaths to break this Shanzhong Acupoint.”

Most of the following time he was strengthening and stabilising. This might need more than a month. When they are filled up then he would be much safer.

Before that it would be tough to open ip another one. If he rushed it then it would be extremely dangerous.

Jiang Zizai studied cultivation methods but till date he still didn’t know what grade this technique was. Probably a Heaven Grade cultivation method wasn’t this effective.

Other people took large amounts of time to open up their Spiritual Orifices.

They also needed a lot of time to swallow Heaven and Earth essence qi.

In the end raising and stabilising the Spiritual Orifice also consumed a long time.

If not Lu Dingxing wouldn’t have taken so long to enter the Sixth Stage.

“The three Spiritual Orifices aren’t stable so there is not a high chance of reaching Fourth Stage before the Qilin Gathering.”

Although Jiang Zizai didn’t test out his combat strength after advancing but it was probably around what he expected.

As for Stage Four he didn’t need to dream about it.

He had some time left which he used to nurture the Spiritual Orifices, to strengthen and stabilise, controlling his true qi and also to cultivate the Dragon Travelling Step.

Of course an hour or more was used to train in the Void Universe Soul Training Technique.

The Dragon Travelling Step was completed really quickly!

In the following period of time, apart from strengthening the Spiritual Orifice he didn’t have much to do.

Only then did he recall something. Who knows he might be able to cultivate the Fire Dragon Heavy Fist!

Ruohua said that it was best if one had Stage Four and above experience to be able to learn it.

“But my soul is strong and my comprehension isn’t weaker than Lu Dingxing. I might be able to learn it.”

When he flipped it open he couldn’t help but laugh out.

Its methods and secrets weren’t that mysterious. Although it was double the difficulty of the Dragon Travelling Step but it wasn’t too difficult for him.

“From now onwards I must definitely not neglect the importance ofthe Void Universe Soul Training Technique. I must ensure I spend an hour on it at least.”

Although it was a little tough, but the rewards were relatively huge.

If not for this soul training technique he would probably have stumbled at the Dragon Travelling Step, not to mention this Fire Dragon Heavy Fist.

This was a fist technique.

It came from the Yanlong Emperor Race, spreading down for a long time and was relatively famous.

It was the fist technique used by the seniors of the Yanlong Emperor Race to conquer the world.

The Life Totems of the cultivators needed to at least have Dragon Qi, this was the basic requirement. For example flood dragons could also comprehend it.

Although Jiang Zizai wasn’t a Fire Dragon, but he felt that the problem wasn’t huge.

“Weird, Life Totems all had an element. For example my father’s Nine Tribulation Heaven Qilin’s main element was lightning. However my Black Dragon Totem doesn’t seem like a simple darkness element.”

He noticed this point when he started the Lightning Finger.

At the start he guessed that due to it being a lightning element battling technique, its effects wouldn’t be that strong.

After cultivating it, he noticed that his adapting ability exceeded most Lightning Qilins.

However his totem wasn’t a Lightning God Dragon Totem.

When he started cultivating the Fire Dragon Heavy Fist he noticed the same thing and found it really weird.

His suitability to the flame was really high, it was like he actually had a Fire Dragon Totem.

It was said that when one cultivated deep in, the red flames formed on the fist would look like that of a god dragon.

Not long after Jiang Zizai cultivated, flames appeared on his fist, however they were black flames!

Its heat and strength was no weaker than the descriptions of the Fire Dragon Heavy Fist, even being stronger. He could feel that it also had a destructive nature to it.

“Lightning, Fire, I have displayed high compatibility with it. Do I actually have two main natures? No along with darkness, there should be three.”

“However darkness seems to be merged together with lightning and fire.”

He even guessed if there was a possibility of him being compatible of battling techniques of other natures. Then could he merge darkness and destruction into it?

He had to try all these in the future.

“If it really is then I have really earned it. Beneath the Heavens there would be no weapon that I can’t adapt to and no battling technique that I can’t learn. It is pretty much all encompassing darkness?”

The Fire Dragon Heavy Fist he used seemed like the Fire Dragon but it also didn’t seem like it.

This fist technique seemed really ferocious. On the battlefield it wanted to smack the opponent such that he is shocked in just one fist.

Jiang Zizai practiced it everyday. He didn’t need to suffer as much as the Lightning Finger but the consumption was huge. Each time he finished practicing he was totally exhausted.

Following which he would cultivate the Void Universe Soul Training Technique. After he finished he would be alive likea dragon. He could also think back to where his cultivation lacked previously.

His improvement was huge!

In the middle, Ruohua came over to check up on Lu Dingxing’s condition.

Within the Spirit Nurturing God Stone, Lu Dingxing had completely healed. However there was in fact no way for him to charge for the Sixth Stage of the Martial Life Realm.

So Jiang Zizai told him to stabilise his current realm.

“This is a Grade Two spiritual medicine Heaven Essence Fruit. The Heaven Essence Tree would bear dozens of fruits in ten years. Within the fruit it contained Heaven and Earth essence qi. However after all the medicinal powers are huge. One can’t consume it usually however once the Spiritual Orifices opened it could replace the swallowing technique to gather huge amounts of essence qi in a short time.”

“However if time wasn’t forcing us it is best not to use it. After all although the Spirit Nurturing God Stone is a little slower but the effects are much better. There also won’t be problems regarding the Spiritual Orifices because the medicinal powers are too strong.”

Ruohua brought over two Heaven Essence Fruit and gave Jiang Zizai and Lu Dingxing each one.

If Lu Dingxing was able to reach Stage Six and time was not enough then this precious fruit would be useful.

Jiang Zizai temporarily didn’t need it so he kept it.

Ruohua also brought a letter for him.

It came from the Yanlong Xu Country Protecting Manor, from his sister Jiang Yunning.

Not including Xiaoyue, out of the three of them, Jiang Zizai was the smallest.

“Your sister wants to return but I asked her to focus on cultivation there. This was what she wrote to you.”

After Ruohua left, Jiang Zizai carried the letter. His action was really gentle, afraid of destroying the letter.

Strictly speaking Jiang Yunning and his age was closer. She wasn’t as talented as Jiang Junjian so the two of them spent a long together and their relationship was really good.

Looking back at some interesting things when they were young, a smile appeared on Jiang Zizai’s face.

When he was young and playful there were many instances when he placed bugs in her clothing.

When they were five or six he often threw his temper and didn’t eat. She fed him mouth by mouth. She was only just two years older than him.

When he was nine Jiang Zizai told her not to get married. He felt that no one in the world was good enough for some a gentle and intelligent sister.

After she was fifteen she cultivated in the Country Protector Manor and rarely returned.

Each time she returned it would be the happiest time for Jiang Zizai.

To see her he would even leave home and run to Yanlong Xu. However halfway he would be captured, on the road he was nearly killed by bandits.

To be able to get her letter before the Qilin Gathering was the best news to Jiang Zizai.

He opened the letter, on it were some greetings and concerns and also advice.

“This girl grew up and became an old woman, even more naggy than mother.” Jiang Zizai laughed after he finished.

Jiang Yunning didn’t mention about father, however her words were unable to hide her current emotions.

As for him, he wished that he could be safe and just grow up quickly.

She knew about Jiang Zizai awakening the Black Dragon Totem which was why she told him to calm down and not waste his talents.

“My greatest wish now is that one day our family can unite happily and have nothing to worry about.”

The last sentence caused Jiang Zizai to tear up after he finished reading.

Why was something that was so simple in the past so difficult now.

“Sister I swear that I will help you fulfil this wish.”

Jiang Zizai carefully folded the letter and placed it near his chest.

Time waited for no one.

The grand Qilin Gathering was like a fierce beast on the Time River, roaring as it announced its arrival.
