Reaching the Tasar's office, Vanya notices the whole area was cleared of people.
Feeling like she might be stepping into a trap, Vanya turned to Kerala, "Can you still change into Tasar?"
"I think I still have a little bit of his blood running through me, but it won't last for long...maybe five minutes at most..." Kerala replied.
"That will have to do."
Transformation completed, Vanya and Kerala (fake Tasar) walked towards the office doors, hoping no Udava soldiers would surround them.
Kaze, Joanos, and Saavi all watched as Vanya and Tasar (Kerala) made their way to them.
"Why is Lord Tasar with Lady Vanya?" Saavi was angry as she watched Lord Tasar and Vanya figure getting closer.
"Did he get trapped by her again?" Joanos asked. They had filled him in on everything that had happened, even what Lady Vanya did to his uncle.
"What should we do?" Saavi turned to asked Kaze.
"How is Miss Mikaela?" Kaze turned to catch a glimpse of Mika's chest rising and falling in a steady motion.
"She still not waking up, helping to save Lord Tasar and young master Joanos really depleted her energy. She won't be able to get up any time soon." Saavi had continuously checked on Mika's condition when they saw she wasn't waking up.
Coming to the conclusion that she must have really depleted her energy to the point where her body was conserving energy. They realize just how much Mika had sacrificed for them.
"En...then we'll hold the office like we had been doing. Anyone who tries to come in, eliminate."
"But that's my uncle...!" Joanos was frightened by Kaze cold gaze.
"I don't think that is Lord Tasar..." Kaze had been studying Lady Vanya and Lord Tasar (Kerala) from the time they spotted them. And he could tell that though that person looked like Lord Tasar, their walk and presence differ from the Lord Tasar he knows. Based on his instincts, Kaze chose to eliminate this threat rather than take the chance.
"Not Lord Tasar!" Both Saavi and Joanos looked at Kaze like he saw seeing things.
"En. I'm about 95% sure."
"What about the other 5%!" Joanos asked, thinking Kaze might have lost his mind due to stress.
"The other 5% will be confirmed when I go to kill him." Kaze glaze broke no room for arguments. Either they trust him, or they were against him.
Saavi, not really caring either way, only caring for Mika's safety, took her spot under the desk.
Joanos and Kaze stood staring into each other's eyes, Kaze was waiting for Joanos' trust. Though he went to save Joanos, that was all his one-sided feelings. If Joanos couldn't trust him on this, then he made a big mistake. His young miss had sacrificed too much for his feelings all ready.
Joanos stared at the man who left his duty to his master to save him. Even though Miss Mikaela healed him, he would have still been in that barn if Kaze didn't rescue him.
Is he able to trust another person after his steward of over ten years was able to backstab him? Joanos really didn't know if he was or not, but looking into Kaze's eyes, he found he was willing to try.
Just as Lady Vanya and Kerala (fake Tasar) reached the door, Joanos and Kaze each took their positions on either side of the door.
Vanya was so anxious to get inside, that she forgot that she locked the door.
Hearing the rattling of the office's door nob, Kaze, Joanos, and Saavi, each readied themselves to attack.
"Lady Vanya, it is locked. Use the key." Kerala broke Vanya out of her panic trance.
"Oh...Yes, it's right." Vanya reached into her pocket and pulling out Tasar's key.
Kaze and Joanos, who were standing right beside the door, heard Kerala's voice from the other side. Glancing at each other, they don't remember seeing Lady Vanya's maid anywhere. So, where did she come from, and why wasn't Lord Tasar opening the door?
Confusion running through their minds, but they had no time to figure things out as the door unlocked and Lady Vanya step into the office.
Joanos was the first person she saw as he was standing right in the door opening, but she didn't get to say much as Kaze quickly grabbed her from behind a pulled her entirely into the room. While Joanos grabbed Lord Tasar (Kerala) and pulled him into the room before Kaze closed the door behind them.
On the floor where Kaze left her, Vanya's mind was spinning. Out of all the people she thought to see in this room, the last one as Joanos. Looking at Tasar (Kerala) for answers, but there was none, as Kerala remembers Joanos being stabbed and left for dead.
Having not gotten a good look around the room nor the other people, Vanya scoured the office for information, and that's when her eyes met Mika's body on the couch.
Getting an inkling at who the other person might be in the room, Vanya smiled. If it was only them, then maybe I can get myself out of this with something to gain.
Turning around, Vanya looked at the other person standing beside Joanos. Kaze wasn't looking at Vanya, rather he was looking at Lord Tasar or should he say Kerala. As Kerala's body couldn't no longer hold its shape and transformed back into her former body.
"Shapeshifter...." Kaze said as the missing piece of the puzzle fell into place.
