Sidestepping out of the way, Kendel glared at his men.

"What the hell is wrong with you two!?"

With no response and their constant attacks, Kendel had no choice but to go on the defense.

"Kendel, it's the girl..." Vanya pointed to Saavi standing off to the side.

It wasn't Vanya pointed Saavi out that he noticed the young lady who was sitting on Kerala, was now standing behind his men.

Is she the reason they are acting this way?

"She has to be the one controlling them..." Vanya had spotted Saavi earlier on but wasn't too sure she was the cause for Kendel's soldiers attacking them.

Taking a chance, he sent out a blade of wind in Saavi's direction. However, before it could even reach Saavi, one of the men attacking them jump in front of Kendel's attack, blocking the hit meant for Saavi.

Seeing the scene before his very eyes, Kendel knew for sure now that this young lady was the reason his men were acting strange.

Kaze, who during this time has been able to kill another one of Kendel's men, saw this scene as well.

Amazed but also pleased, Kaze left Saavi to handle Kendel as he looked for Joanos while trying to finish off his last opponent.

Spotting him over at the door, Kaze could see he wasn't fairing so well. Though Joanos was able to free himself from the confines of the whip, it had taken too long. His opponents have already dealt enough wounds to his that Joanos' clothes were once again covered in fresh blood.

Kaze knew he needed to get over there fast, if not Joanos wouldn't last much longer. And this time there would be no one there to revive him.

Kaze's opponent notices a drastic change in Kaze. Before Kaze's aura and demeanor was the same as theirs, but now Kaze has a chill coming off his body, and his movements were shaper and more direct.

He doesn't know what caused the change, but he knew it didn't look good for him. As the last man standing from their group of three, his skills were slightly better than his fallen comrades, but the change in Kaze was too powerful for him the handle on his own.

Looking left then right, the man saw two of his comrades about to kill their opponent, thinking help would arrive soon, he smirked.

"It seems your friend is about to die...why don't I help you join him?" Taunting Kaze, the Vlacca clan soldier hoped this distraction would work to his favor, and it did.

Kaze was momentarily distracted as he looked in Joanos' direction, to see two swords aiming at Joanos' back and front, leaving him no room to avoid the attacks.

Having his plan succeed, Kendel's man quickly executed his counter attacks at the inattentive Kaze.

Feeling a strong force heading his way, Kaze tried to evade the attack, but it was too late the only thing he could do is block it head on.

"Urgh!" Unprepared, Kaze couldn't get his defenses entirely up in time. The taste of sweet iron coated his mouth and throat as blood rolled up from his chest.

Kaze looked over at Joanos and saw he had received deadly hit to his back as he tried to block the frontal attack.

At this time, while Kaze and Joanos were having a hard time killing their opponents, Saavi still had Lord Kendel and Vanya on the defense.

Kendel didn't want to kill his men, he still needed them to get out of the Udava's estate. Continuously dodging his men attacks while sending attacks Saavi way, Kendel was losing energy. He can't keep this up for much longer.

Just as this thought entered his mind, one of his men delivered a nasty cut to Kendel's right leg. Frustrated and angry, Kendel could no longer hold back and sacrificed his two men.

With no left under her control and to protect her, Kendel sent a series of wind blades at Saavi's body.

I'll slice this bitch into a million piece for having to make me kill my own men! Kendel ruthlessly smiled.

As Saavi's gift were more of the persuasion/temptress type, and with no one around her to control her gifts wore off, and her consciousness came back. Having blanked out from the time her gifts activated, Saavi didn't know what happened since then, around her all she saw was a bunch of wind blades headed her way.

"Aaaah!"

Though Saavi wasn't much of a swordsman like Kaze and Mika, she did receive some training from Lady Lyra for self-defense.

Busy avoiding the wind blades Kendel was sending her way, Saavi had no time to look at what had happened around her.

"Grab the documents from Tasar's desk while I keep her busy..." Kendel pushed the half-dead Vanya to Tasar's desk. He was not going to leave without something in return.

Taking her cue from her brother, Vanya walked to the Tasar's desk and searched for any documents. Grabbing as many as she could, Vanya rushed back to Kendel's side.

"You got them?" Kendel looked at the pile of paper in Vanya's hands.

"I just took everything, I've lost too much blood to focus on reading each and every one." Vanya panted as she was bearly hanging on.

"Fine...it's time t leave anyway..." Whistling, Kendel signaled for his men to retreat as he sent one last wind blade Saavi's way.

One of the men grabbed Kerala, as the others helped Vanya, and they all left the room.

When they opened the door, everyone to see and hear that the fight from outside had proceeded to move inside the Udava's estate.

Men and women were fighting all around them, Kendel thought his luck was finally changing, his group would be able to make a swift escape with the Udava's soldiers' attention pointed elsewhere.

Kaze sorely wanted to chase and kill them, but with both him and Joanos injured and Mika still asleep, he didn't want to chance it.

"Saavi, how is Miss Mikaela...?" Kaze hadn't been able to see to Mika during the fight relying on Saavi to protect Mika to the best of her abilities.

Saavi was hunched over Mika's body as she wiped off the blood and gave her body a once over to make sure she wasn't hurt.

"Still asleep, and unharmed ." Saavi breath a sigh of relief along with Kaze.

Looking over at Joanos' bleeding body and hearing the fighting outside, Kaze realized they couldn't stay here any longer.

"We need to leave...it's not safe here anymore."
