Saavi woke to a healer standing over her.
"Mmm...You're awake, I'll let your companion know." The healer walked out of the room, and a few moments later Kaze walked in.
"The healer told me you'll be fin-"
"Where's young miss?" Saavi interrupted Kaze before he could finish his sentence.
The last thing she remembered was Kaze taking young miss away. She hoped young miss wasn't too badly hurt.
"...." Kaze wasn't saying anything, in fact, his head was hanging low.
An ominous foreboding slid down her back.
"Where is young miss!?" Saavi asked her question again.
"I don't know..."
"What do you mean you don't know!? I handed her right to you!" Saavi held out her hands in front of Kaze's face.
"No, you didn't. By the time I got into the room, only you were there lying on the floor. Miss Mikaela was nowhere to be seen...I've searched."
"That's not possible, I clearing saw you come in and take her...!" Saavi' heart fell into her stomach after hearing Kaze's words.
"Are you sure it was me?"
When the fire broke out, Kaze got hit with a fallen roof beam, he wasn't able to get to Mika's room. By the time he was able to free himself, the house was already filled with smoke, and the green fire had eaten half of the house.
He had quickly run into the bedroom, but only saw Saavi who was covered in burns, lying on the floor next to a charred bed.
He had thought Mika had died on the bed yet hearing Saavi words, he could piece together that someone had taken her.
"If it wasn't you, the only other people who were there with us were...!"
"Lord Kendel..."

"Your moron! This is not the girl that I told you to grab!" Kendel looked down at the sleeping Mika.
When Lixiss set the house on fire, Kendel saw Saavi make her way into a room. Thinking this would be the only chance to have her, he ordered his guard to go grab her.
With the fire blazing around him and smoke blocking his sight, the guard picked up whoever was in the room and ran out.
Thinking his man got Saavi, Kendel led them to the rear entrance and out of the Udava's estate.
When they were far enough away, Kendel pulled back the cape covering the young lady, only to realize this wasn't the one he wanted.
"Sorry my Lord, but it was too smoky in the room..." Kendel couldn't blame his guard too much. After all, he escaped as soon as the fire broke out, leaving his guard to the task.
Damn! I missed the chance to have a treasure in my hands. If it wasn't for that niece of mine, I could have had the girl.
"Who is this anyway!?" Kendel thought as he glanced at Mika's sleeping face.

Saavi glared at Kaze from across the room.
"Lord Mano had given you one job to do, and that is to protect young miss, but you can't even do that!?" Saavi threw her pillow at Kaze's head.
Kaze easily dodges it, yet that only irked Saavi off more. Picking up whatever little things she could find, she hurled them at Kaze's head.
*Crash* There goes the stool.
*Bang!* There goes the healer's scanner.
*Shattered* There goes her cup of water.
Joanos came into the room when Saavi was trying to throw a wall mirror at Kaze's head.
"Whoa...whoa! Put that down before you hurt someone!" Joanos grabbed the big mirror from Saavi's hands and placed it back on the wall.
"That's what I'm trying to do!" Saavi yelled as she saw there were no more objects around left for her to throw.
Walking straight up to Kaze's face she pointed her finger at his chest.
"What kind of a personal guard are you?... You have one job to do, and that is to protect Mikaela!... I let it passed when you left young miss' side to save this thing," Pointing in Joanos' direction.
"I didn't say anything when you hesitated to kill Lady Vanya, but it would be unreasonable to not say anything when you've allowed young miss to be kidnapped!"
"Wait, Saavi this isn't Kaze fault-"
"Shut up! How dare YOU come in here trying to play peacemaker! You're the reason young miss ever got involved with Lady Vanya and Lord Kendel in the first place!... She even saved your life at the extent of her own! So, you will shut up and stay out of this conversation!" Saavi turned back to look at Kaze, ignoring Joanos' presence altogether.
"Kaze, though we haven't known each other long, I would like to believe that young miss' judge of character isn't wrong...Since she has been true to her vows shouldn't you do the same...?" Tears were falling from Saavi's eyes as she thought about Mika.
Before anything more could be said, Lord Tasar walked into the room.
Feeling the tense atmosphere, Tasar cleared his throat to break the tension before speaking.
"I just wanted to let you both know that Lord Mano will be here in a week..."
"....!?"
"I had sent out a comm to him before the war began to let him know of the situation here,"
Saavi also remembers young miss making her sent out a comm to Lord Mano before the war began.
"and I just received a reply saying he should be here in a week to bring Mikaela home...I didn't have the heart to tell him that she's dead-"
"She's not dead!" Kaze shouted out, surprising everyone in the room.
"She's not? I thought you said she died in the fire..."
"Lord Kendel took her." Kaze stared into Saavi's watery eyes. He knew everything she said was true because his body was in pain. The blood vow he gave to Mikaela was already telling him he hasn't been going his duty, even without Saavi's reprimand.
"Lord Kendel...!" Tasar had hoped Kendel would have died in the fire, but it seems the Vlacca clan were resilient people as Vanya had survived too.

"I need to borrow a motocyk and a couple of supplies."

Walking straight up to Kaze's face she pointed her finger at his chest.
"What kind of a personal guard are you?... You have one job to do, and that is to protect Mikaela!... I let it passed when you left young miss' side to save this thing," Pointing in Joanos' direction.
"I didn't say anything when you hesitated to kill Lady Vanya, but it would be unreasonable to not say anything when you've allowed young miss to be kidnapped!"

She even saved your life at the extent of her own! So, you will shut up and stay out of this conversation!" Saavi turned back to look at Kaze, ignoring Joanos' presence altogether.
"Kaze, though we haven't known each other long, I would like to believe that young miss' judge of character isn't wrong...Since she has been true to her vows shouldn't you do the same...?" Tears were falling from Saavi's eyes as she thought about Mika.
Before anything more could be said, Lord Tasar walked into the room.
Feeling the tense atmosphere, Tasar cleared his throat to break the tension before speaking.
"I just wanted to let you both know that Lord Mano will be here in a week..."

"I had sent out a comm to him before the war began to let him know of the situation here,"
