With his gut telling him that this was a chance he should not miss, Ailwin's big callous long-fingered hand encased Mika's small soft slim-fingered hand as they shook on their alliance.
Mika turned her head to the side to see a soldier coming in with a tray of food. Pulling her hand from Ailwin grasp, Mika licked her lips salivating at the food placed before me.
"You should eat, we have a hard day ahead of us," Mika said as she puts a piece of spiced-honeyed sausage in her mouth.
Ailwin, who was watching Mika eat heard his stomach growl and realize he also didn't have breakfast, so consumed with reading the reports he had forgone his meals.

With two foodies sitting at the table, the once full table was half gone in seconds.
Where does she put it all? Ailwin wondered as he watched Mika finish dish after dish of food.
When all the plates were clean except for one honey cake remaining, Mika looked at Ailwin as Ailwin looked at Mika.
Both had their forks ready, this was gradually becoming an age-old battle between them.
"Wait, how about I cut it? That way we both get a piece." Mika suggested, picking up her knife.
"Okay..." Ailwin waited for Mika to cut the honey cake and placed it on his plate.
Taking the other half, Mika placed it on her plate.
Ailwin looked down at the minuscule slice of cake on his plate, then looked at the large piece of cake on Mika's plate and slammed the table.
"You call this half!?"Ailwin said, pointing at the small portion on his plate.
"No...I call it a piece."
Swiftly putting her whole portion into her mouth, Mika smiled as her mouth tried to contain the food.
"Tsk...why do I even bother?" Ailwin said before eating his slice.
Patting her lips clean of oils and crumbles, Mika looked at Ailwin, "Shall we discuss what I need for you do?"
"En. Let's get this over with."

Meanwhile, at the same time, Kaze, Saavi, and Jonas were all sitting in the Vlacca's jailhouse.
"So what do we do now, just wait?" Jonas looked at Saavi and Kaze as they sat on the dirt floor.
"Yes. we have done what young miss wanted us to do." Saavi closed her eyes, and rest her head against the wall as if to go to sleep.
"Jonas sit down. Miss Mikaela wouldn't do anything to hurt us." Kaze pointed to space at the corner for Jonas to sit.
"Sigh, fine." Jonas joins Kaze and Saavi on the dirt floor.
As per Mika's instructions, Kaze, Saavi, and Jonas snuck into the Vlacca clan's estate in the name of finding their young miss. Mika wanted their search to cause a lot of damage to the Vlacca clan estate without killing anyone. She also wanted them the record everything before getting caught by Lord Kendel's men.
The hard part about the whole situation was getting caught without dying in the process, the easy part was destroying the property.
Saavi, in particular, found this part enjoyable as she blew up the main hall of the Vlacca clan with the weapons took from the Udava clan.
Kaze recalled the look of euphoria on Saavi's face as she watched the building crumbled to the ground.
Looking through the small window in the jail cell, Kaze estimated that it was around noon.
"Miss Mikaela should be here soon."

Ailwin sat staring at Mika, wondering how she thought this plan of hers would work.
"So you want me to take my army and seize Lord Kendel and his men on the grounds of abduction and hostage charges?"
"Yes." Mika sat back a quietly sipped her tea.
"Not possible." Ailwin was sad to burst her bubble, but he just couldn't take his army to arrest a clan leader without proper procedure.

"You're not going to open it?"

"Hmph...fine." Ailwin opened the message to find a recording of Kaze arguing with Lord Kendel about abducting Mika from the Udava clan. In which he admitted to the assault on the Udava clan with his sisters and taking Mika for ransom money. At the end of the video, it shows Lord Kendel apprehending Kaze, Saavi, and Jonas.
Closing the message Ailwin looked at Mika, "how will you get back inside the Vlacca clan's estate?"
"Walk in."
"You think they are not going to notice you walking in?"
"They didn't notice me walking out."
Ailwin had no more words to discuss and just told Mika he and his men will leave in thirty minutes.
