Kaze explained all the circumstances leading up to Mika's kidnapping.

"After we escaped the fire we realize Lord Kendel abducted Miss Mikaela during the confusion..."

"Preposterous! Why would I take a little girl!? I'll admit that Lord Tasar and I have our difficulties, but that is between Steppe clans, it has nothing to do with the Kaia Kingdom!" Lord Kendel sneered at Kaze as he spoke to Ailwin.

"That is true, what goes on between the Steppe clans are not within Kaia Kingdom's jurisdictions....however, if you have Miss Mikaela on your estate against her will..." Ailwin looked towards his soldiers standing to the side.

"I don't!"

"Good, let us make sure." Ailwin stood up waiting for Kendel to show him around the estate.

"You have already sent some of your men to search...?"

"Yes, but Lord Kendel's Vlacca clan is not small, it's best if we help move things along instead of just sitting here. Besides, the faster we find that she is not here, the faster my men and I can leave...hmmm?"

To have a prince search his estate was not something any clan leader wanted, but to show that Mika was not on the estate and that he didn't kidnap her, he had no choice; unless he wanted to fight with Prince Ailwin and his Shadow Wolves.

"Of course, this way please..." Kendel and Ply led Ailwin and the rest of his soldiers along with Kaze, Saavi, and Jonas around the estate. Checking every building and room one by one.

When they met up with the first group of Ailwin's soldiers who left before them at the servants' area. They reported they have not found Mika.

"See, I told you prince Ailwin, this is all a misunderstanding on these three parts. They damaged my property unlawfully, but seeing as two of them are from your country...maybe we can work out a deal, seeing as you care so much for your Kaia citizens...." Kendel's greedy cashmere smile annoyed Ailwin even more than Mika not being here.

"A deal?"

"Yes, your Kaia citizens damaged my Vlacca clan!... Of course, Prince Ailwin wouldn't want this to spread around that he and his citizens came here to search and destroy my home, right?..." Holding out his hand to his steward, Kendel collected the repair cost report from Ply.

"If Prince Ailwin would take a look at this-"

"Shh! Shut up!" Ailwin cut Kendel off mid-sentence.

"What? What's wrong? Kendel looked at around at everyone trying to find the source of the problem.

"What is that noises?"

"What noise? I don't hear anything?" Kendel stopped talking to listen, but not hearing anything out of the ordinary.

Thinking Ailwin was trying to distract him from getting his money, Kendel attempted to bring the conversation back to the repairs.

"Prince Ailwin, if you will look here-"

"What is that over there?" Ailwin pointed at a building off to the side of them.

"Sigh...that's the prison...now, if you will look at this-"

"We haven't searched there," Ailwin said, walking towards that direction.

"Why would we?"

"What better place to imprison a person but in jail?"

"....!"

Kendel wanted to cut Ailwin's head off for blatantly calling him an abductor, but remembering he is a prince and one who can pay off his debt. He reigned in his temper.

"....Fine! This way." Kendel stomped his way towards the building.

As they reach the building's doors, everyone could hear loud clanging sounds coming from inside.

"You have more prisoners, other than these three?" Ailwin looked at the puzzled Kendel.

"Uh, occasionally servants will get out of hand and need to be punished... Don't tell me this also need Prince Ailwin's concerns." Kendel snarky comment had the Shadow Wolves' soldiers springing to defend their commander.

"Enough!" Silencing his men' voices, Ailwin just looked at Kendel.

"Open the door."

"Sure, sure thing..." Kendel whistle as he unlocked the building's doors.

Inside were jail cells lining both sides of the walls, with floor to ceiling thick steel bars caging the prisoners within.

*Clang* *Clang**Clang*

In the last cell, a small metal cup is seen rattling against the bars back and forth, as the person who held it cried out pleads for mercy.

"Please let me out! Uncle, I'm sorry! I'll write a letter to daddy for you and ask for a lot of money! Please let me out!" Mika stood inside the jail cell in dirty clothes, messy hair, and a few cuts on her face; she looked a world of difference from how Ailwin saw her this morning.

"Mik-" Seeing the state she was in Ailwin wanted to know what happened. Yet, before he could say her full name, Mikaela stopped with a sharp look; reminding him not to ruin their plans.

Following behind Ailwin, Kendel and Saavi saw Mika next, which had them responding at the same time.

"You...!"

"Young Miss!"

As Kendel stumbled back from being thoroughly shock, Saavi ran forward to check on Mika who she hasn't seen for days.

"Young Miss, are you alright? Did he hurt you? Ah, you're bleeding!" Saavi held Mika's face turning it left then right to see the small cuts on Mika's cheeks.

*Sniff*

"Saavi! It hurts sooo much!" Mika popped out a couple of tears, making herself look very pitiful.

Saavi, who has been worried about Mika since the fire didn't know Mika was only acting and rushed Lord Kendel wanting to kill him.

"YOU! What the hell did you do to her!? I'm going to kill you!" Despite her chained wrists, Saavi was able to reach Kendel swiftly and grab his neck.

It took a minute before everyone realizes that she was actually strangling him.

"Get...her..off...of me...!" Kendel gasped out to his men.

"Hey! you let go!" Ply sent the guards to get Saavi off on their lord.

With everyone standing in a tight space, it took the guards some time to get Saavi's hands from around Kendel's neck.

When they went to pull out their swords to attack her, Kaze and Jonas stepped forward to protect her.

"You crazy b**ch!...*cough* *cough* You dare...*cough* put on hands-on...*cough*... me!" Kendel stared at Saavi, wanting to chop her into pieces.

"Yes, I dare! You kidnapped our young miss!" Saavi pointed to Mika in the cell, who forgot to keep up her acting when Saavi started attacking Kendel.

Everyone turned to Mika inside the cell.

Ailwin clears his throat, bringing Mika out of her stupor.

"Oh, right...*sniff* *cries* *sniff*...it hurts...boohoo...ouch..."

"....." Everyone else.

Ailwin wanted to facepalm at Mika's poor acting skills.

How did this girl get back in and inside of a jail cell at that! Ailwin thought as he glanced at Kendel who was just as surprised at seeing Mika inside the prison as everyone else was.

Taking out his tablet once again, Ailwin held it up to Mika's face to i.d. her.

"Mmm...this is the missing girl. Lord Kendel, what is the missing young miss doing inside your clan's jailhouse?" Turning everyone's attention away from Mika's poor performance and back to the real issue.

"I-I-I don't know who this girl is!...she must be a trespasser that my men caught. How was I to know she was the missing girl!?" Put on the spot, Kendel pulled whatever excuse he could think of to explain Mika being in his prison.

He thought it would be a good excuse until Mika yelled.

"Uncle! You don't know Mika now!...*sniff* *cries* Uncle is a bad man! " To make up for her awful performance early, Mika made sure her response this time was fitting.

"Uncle..?" Ailwin asked, looking at Kendel.

".....hahaha...she must be mistaken...."

Looking behind him, Kendel saw he was the closest one to the outside door, thinking to lock everyone inside before Ailwin has a chance to alert his army; Kendel ran to the door leaving his steward and guards behind.

"My Lord...!" Ply, and the guards watched as Kendel closed the door behind him locking them in the building with his foes.

"He's got away!" Saavi screamed.

"Don't worry, he won't get far," Mika replied, as she unlocked her cell's door.

"...."

"You had the key to the cell?" Ailwin looked at Mika puzzled.

"Yea....I'm not stupid." Mika returned a puzzled look of her own to him.

"*sigh* Then why did you put yourself in the cell in the first place?"

"I was a little late getting back...plus it's made the whole plan more believable, right?"

"And what about these cuts..." Ailwin held Mika's chin up so he could examine the scratches.

"Lord Kendel did it..." Mika knew Ailwin wouldn't believe that lie, but she was not going to tell him that she did it to herself trying to rush through the crack in the garden's wall to make up for her time at the cavern.

"....Lord Kendel did it...?" Ailwin asked as he poked the bruise and bloody scratches.

"En...Ouch! Wha-What are you doing? Do you have healing abilities? No? Then don't touch, I'm expense! You break it, you buy it!" Mika said, slapping Ailwin's hands away from her face and turned to the Vlacca's guards.

"Still not releasing them?" Mika held her hands for the keys to Saavi's and the rest cuffs.

With the cuffs off her wrists, Saavi flew into Mika's arms.

"Young Miss...,"

"Why are you crying you're supposed to be the older one... Saavi, please don't cry."

"Young miss, I'm just glad you are okay..."

"Okay, okay, clean yourself up...you're embarrassing yourself in front of a prince," Mika jerked her head at Ailwin.

"Oh, yes..." Swiping her eyes, Saavi curtsy to Ailwin before holding out her hand.

"Thank you, Prince Ailwin, for helping our young miss."

"Oh, you don't have to thank him for this, he owes me."

"Owes you...?" Saavi couldn't possibly understand how Prince Ailwin could owe Mika, after everything she did to him in the past.

"En...His general-"

"Okay! Everyone lets get out of here, now that all the chains are off." I'll be damn if I let this girl spread the news about her and my general's bet to people! Ailwin thought as he stops Mika from saying anything more.
