"Start."

Building his power within his body, Kendel releases a series of wind blades.

This should distract him enough, for me to get that niece of mine. Kendel thought as several wind blades ate up the distance between him and Ailwin.

Not even batting an eye at Lord Kendel's attack, Ailwin swiftly side-stepped the strike and waited for Kendel to continue.

He was only able to move an inch towards Mika before his attacks were evaded by Ailwin.

"Is that all?" Ailwin asked with obvious disappointment in his tone.

"Damnit..." Kendel grumbled.

This time Kendel pulled a big portion of his energy and produced air bombs to surround Ailwin's body.

Due to his bombs basically being invisible, Kendel was confident that he could make it to Mika before Ailwin could get out of this attack.

The soldiers standing around in a circle, couldn't understand what Lord Kendel was doing. It wasn't until one of the bombs set by Ailwin's feet blew up that they realize what he had planned.

"Despicable...!"

"...loathsome!"

"Detestable!"

The surrounding soldiers didn't hold back on calling Lord Kendel out on his disgusting tacit.

Since air bombs could not be seen and were basically floating pressure-tight air pockets, the opponent would naturally walk straight into them without being the wiser, blowing themselves up.

On the battlefield, these air projectiles are the bane to non-air-based ability soldiers.

"Hahaha...Prince Ailwin it seems your soldiers dislike my attack, are you the same?...hahaha."

Kendel discreetly shifted closer to Mika's position.

"....No."

When everyone was wondering how Ailwin was going to solve this problem, multiple explosions went off around Ailwin.

"Commander!"

Believing Kendel might've set the bombs to go off, the soldiers rushed inside the circle looking for Ailwin's body.

Thinking Ailwin walked into the bombs himself, Kendel smirked at his idiocy.

"Good...this will make my escape easier without him around."

With dust and dirt littering the air, it made it impossible for anyone to see Kendel running towards Mika.

"Where do you think you are going?... You still have one strike left before I start."

Kendel stopped in his tracks, the voice behind him sent goosebumps down his back.

"Impossible...!" Kendel turned around to see Ailwin standing before him, without an injury on him.

Dusting the dirt off his shoulders, Ailwin looked at Kendel's startled face.

"You look like you have seen a ghost...when will you start your last attack?"

"Prince Ailwin, I have to give it to you. You certainly live up to your reputation...."

"Mmm..."

With the dust settling, the soldiers saw Ailwin standing not far from them, perfectly fine and cheered.

"That's our Commander. How could those weak air bombs defeat him?" The soldiers laughed and jeer at Kendel's subpar attacks.

"Tsk!...who were the ones running around worried about their prince just a few minutes ago?" Kendel snapped at the surrounding soldiers, frustrated his attacks weren't sufficient to deflect Ailwin away long enough.

"Start," Ailwin said having grown bored with the battle, and just wanting to beat Kendel up.

"Fine..." Kendel was going to throw all his cards into this last attack.

Slowly the wind started to pick up as the dirt on the ground rose to circle around Ailwin's body. Growing more and more fierce by the second until various turbulent tornados cover the area.

This time Knedel made sure to target everyone instead of just Ailwin.

Seeing the soldiers getting seized by the rotating winds, made him laugh with delight.

I should have done this from the start, and save myself the time, Kendel thought.

Mika didn't think Lord Kendel would be willing to sacrifice his clan's estate, but she guesses one's imminent death can be a driving force.

Chaos was happening all around her, buildings were being ripped apart, soldiers were sucked and spit out, dust and debris were fly everywhere.

Proud of his work, but not wasting any time on admiring it. Kendel looked around for Mika, spotting her in the distance, he made his way over.

With dust and debris fly all around her, Mika could hardly see five steps in front of her, let alone who is beside her. So, when someone suddenly grabbed her from behind, her first instinct was to get away.

Using the self-defense skills her mother taught her, Mika donkey-kicked her assailant's right knee before head-butting her attacker in the face.

Once she was free, Mika turned around to see Lord Kendel in front of her holding his nose and rubbing his hurt knee.

"You little bit**! You broke my nose!" Kendel removed his hand from his face to feel a stream of blood gush down.

"Yea... well, you have to admit it looks better than what it looked like before...I did you a favor. Your welcome."

Fully infuriated Kendel charged at Mika.

Lowering her center of gravity, Mika bent her knees and waited for Kendel to come within distance before delivering a swift kick to his family jewels.

"Aaaaaaah!"

The blustering pain was something Kendel has never felt before and never wanted to feel again. He couldn't speak, breath, or stand as anything he did made the pain worst. He could only lay there with his hands between his legs, trembling.

"Ah! Uncle, you really shouldn't be doing such things in public..." Mika said, pointing to Kendel's hands which were holding his groin.

Kendel looked at Mika's smiling face and clenched his teeth.

He didn't want to show such a shameful scene to anyone as well, but this was the only thing he could do to help numb the pain down there.

*Sigh*

"Uncle I know they're precious to you, but you can't keep holding on to them like that...." Gibe after gibe Mika mocked Kendel. Having so much fun and him in so much pain, they fail to realize that Ailwin had already taken care of the tornados and was watching this scene with everyone else on the side.

Realizing the quiet atmosphere, Mika turned around to see a crowd of people watching her, with Ailwin at the forefront.

"Done?"

"Yea...I guess so."

Shaking his head, Ailwin walked over to Kendel and dragged him by his collar, away from Mika.

The whole time he was dragging him, Kendel couldn't stop the whimpering from leaving his mouth at the sudden movements.

"Lord Kendel, I have given you three chances to strike me down. Now it's my turn..." The minute the words left his mouth, Ailwin proceeded to punch Lord Kendel to a pulp.

After ten minutes of Kendel's sobs and groans, Ailwin stopped. If he continues any further, he'll end up killing him.

Turning to Mika, "Is this good enough for you?"

"Yes." Mika nodded.

"Fine, we'll wait until Braeden gets back before we questioning him again. I think by then he'll be more compliant with our wishes." A soldier passed Ailwin a handkerchief to wipe his hands clean from all the blood.

"En." Dropping all pretenses, Ailwin and Mika reverted back to how they usually talk between one another.

Ailwin had looked up at the sky, it was already late into the afternoon. Guessing they wouldn't be done before nightfall, Ailwin chose to stay the night in the Vlacca's estate.

"It's late, men set up camp inside the estate."

"Yes, sir!"

With Ailwin's men setting up camp and hauling Lord Kendel away, there was nothing left for Mika to do but take her people to find sleeping arrangments.
