"True family heirlooms...?" Mika walked around the glowing spheres, she could feel a gravitational pull coming from them.

"Yes, due to the trees and other variables, the Fae aren't able to reach demi-gods strength anymore. Like I have said this problem arose right before Analise was killed."

"...but I thought Fae stop being demi-gods when they were kicked out of the gods' realm (heaven)...?"

"Yes, they were no longer demi-gods, but they still had their powers."

"So, how did we start to lose our powers..." Mika looked down at her small hands.

Does this really all have to do with the trees? She thought.

"I don't really know. Analise and her followers began to notice the substantial difference in strength between generations of Fae when the war broke out, and the trees started dying."

"...but what does this have to do with these spheres..."

"During the war, the first generation saw that it was difficult for every generation below them to use their hereditary memories to exercise their abilities. Instead, they had to be taught how to use their gifts..."

"Wait!...so you saying the first generation just knew how to use their gifts..."

"Yes, do you really think the gods would teach their children how to use their powers." Drako gave Mika a sarcastic look.

So, they were like elephants in a sense. Mika thought to herself.

"The gods didn't mean to have these children much less raise them...no, the demi-gods were born with hereditary memory. We were able to utilize their powers right after being born."

"...and these spheres..." Mika bought Drako right back to her original question.

"These spheres are Analise's hereditary memories....in a sense...."

"What!?" Mika looked at the hundred floating spheres.

*Sigh* "Are you done!?" Drako looked over at Mika's shock face.

Really, does she have to be amazed by everything I tell her?

"Yes.." Composing herself, Mika waited for Drako to continue.

"These spheres though I say they are her memories they are more like guides to open your abilities. When the first generation saw the problem, they quickly found a way to share their memories with the younger generations...though with some drawbacks."

"Like what...?"

"Your gifts have to be similar to the giver of the memories for you to utilize them..."

"So, I'm guessing great-grandma Lapis didn't have gifts comparable to Analise..."

"No...she took after Calico. That's why Analise gave her the bow that your mother gave to you."

Mika was quiet for a while as she looked at the spheres.

"Is there some wrong...?" Drako though she would be excited to start adsorbing the memories.

"Yes."

"What is it?" He's has been guarding these spheres for centuries, he never saw anything wrong with them how could she?

"Wouldn't it have been better to give me these first after I awakened rather than Analise's writing?"

"...Um....yeah....my bad...." Drako flew to a tiny orb.

"Let's start off with this one. It's one of the smaller ones, plus I believe this one will help you with your connection to the spirits."

"Okay, tell me how to absorb it..."

"....um...try holding it...?"

"You don't know?"

"...I was only responsible for guarding them..." Drako's voice drifted off as he turned away from Mika's criticizing glaze.

"Fine...I'm sure I can find out how to adsorb them..." Sitting down, Mika thought of all the ways she could ingest the orb.

As the evening drew on and everyone began turning in for the night, a soldier in the Shadow Wolves' camp walked out of his tent. Slowly avoiding all of the officers on night watch, he left the compound.

Making sure no one was following him, he made his way to a secluded valley before contorting energy into a bird to carry his message away.

Observing it for a few moments to make sure it wasn't captured, he then made his way back to the Shadow Wolves' camp.

Five minutes after he left, Kaze stood up from the tall grass. Looking in the direction the bird flew, he surmised it was heading towards Kaia.

Miss Mikaela was right...

Kaze thought about the message Jonas passed to him early in the day from Mikaela.

"Lay low. Watch, listen, and learn....stay awake tonight, find the spies."

When he first read the message he thought she was being overly cautious, how could there be spies in the Shadow Wolves?

However, in just one night, he found three spies...

As he made his way back to the camp, Kaze felt it was going to be a long night.

It wasn't until the early morning that Kaze was finally to take a rest inside his tent.

"Hey, isn't that the new soldier General Gilwenys bought in." Two soldiers passing by his tent began talking about as they saw Kaze sleep on his makeshift bed.

"Yeah, I think it is..."

"Tsk! Does he think the Shadow Wolves are just for show...how could he still be sleeping at this time?!"

"Are you going to wake him..?"

"Hm..." He's someone General Gilwenys bought in if I bring it to his attention that his people are slacking off, it might end badly for me.

"....I'm sure General Gilwenys will straighten him out when he returns...come let's get breakfast."

"En."

Kaze continued to sleep unbeknown to him that he has now been label a slacker after a long night of hunting spies.

Yet, it doesn't seem like Kaze was the only one with a sleepless night, as Mika woke with deep dark bags underneath her red eyes.

"Ahh! young miss..." Saavi was busy in the kitchen when she turned around to see Mika's face.

"It's been a long night..."
