Mikaela?

Isn't that the name of the girl, Lady Delju had kidnapped?

Many of the wives there all had their own connections, so when the story broke about the Amara clan head's family; it was no problem for them to get insider information.

"What has she done to Kamryn and Lula?"

"Well, you all know Kamryn is very gifted, right?" The ladies around her reluctantly nodded their heads. Their children weren't any less gifted than Kamryn, but Lady Jaelah may it seem as if Kamryn stood above all others.

However, to get a piece of some juicy gossip about another elite family, they were willing to indulge Lady Jealah's imagination.

"Yes, I heard that she is doing quite well in school."

Mikaela almost gave herself away as she coughed back her laugh.

"Well, she has caught the eye of a particular prince as a marriage partner..."

"What!"

"Is this true...?"

"Who is it?"

The ladies surrounding Lady Jaelah couldn't help themselves in asking questions all at once, this is big news!

The wives all looked towards Jaelah, as she took her time sipping her tea to build up their interest.

Jaelah smiled to herself, loving that she has these women in the palm of her hands.

Putting down her teacup Jaelah looked the women in the eyes, "Promise you won't tell anyone?"

Everyone's head nodded up and down, knowing that as soon as they get confirmation and the identity of this prince, they are going to rush home to tell their husbands.

"Prince Ailwin."

Mikaela, along with the surrounding women, was surprised by the name that came out of Lady Jaelah's mouth.

"P-Prince Ailwin! You mean your daughter, Kamryn, and the fifth prince are getting married...?" The woman who resembled a female monk asked once more seeking clarification.

"Yes...we hope so. Due to lies spread by my husband's other wife and daughter, it gave the Amara clan a bab look."

"Lies...? You mean no one was actually kidnapped from your family!?"

"..." Jaelah neither confirmed nor denied the allegations. She'll let these women's imagination fill in the holes to her story.

Mikaela watched waited and listen to Lady Jaelah talking lies and spreading rumors.

She didn't know how Lady Jaelah found out about her marriage to Ailwin, but this is evidently Jaelah way of breaking her engagement.

Working her way back towards her mother, Mikaela sat down in her empty chair as Jonas and Saavi continue to be waited on.

"What wrong?" Lyra could see that her daughter had something on her mind.

"A storm is going to come to the Amara clan. I think you and father need to prepared yourselves." Mika turned away from her mother's probing eyes and focus on Saavi's happy expression.

Lyra wanted to question her daughter on the meaning to her words, but before she could, Lady Jaelah and several of the wives she was sitting with, come out of the back rooms.

Though Lyra noticed her, Jaelah's attention was on the women surrounding her that she walked right passed Mikaela's party without knowing that they were there.

Once Jaelah and her companions left the store, Lyra looked at Mikaela and could understand that Mano's stupid wives f**k up again.

"We will talk about this when we get home." That's all Lyra said as they finished paying for their clothes and left the store.

Back in the congested crowd, Mika suggested that they split up. She really wanted to get to a blacksmith before they get too busy.

"Okay, but be back in four hours!" Lyra yelled after the three figures that disappeared into the streets.

"Looks like it's just you and me, Pia..."

"Isn't it always, my lady." Pia smiled along with Lyra as they shook their heads at being left with the task to shop for everyone's school supplies.

Mika, Saavi, and Jonas had finally reached the weaponry district.

All around young fledglings like themselves were running in and out of shops looking for weapons. Even the metalsmiths had lines going out their doors, as many people were changing and reinforcing their weaponry before school starts.

"Damnit!" Mika muttered.

"Young miss-"

"Saavi how many times have I told you to call me Mika or Mikaela from now on. You are no longer my maid."

"En, right." Saavi looked down embarrassed but also happy at the new closeness she and Mika now have.

"Don't worry Saavi, you'll get used to calling her Mikaela soon..." Jonas said while looking around at all the shops.

"Jonas..."

"Yes." Jonas turned around to look down at Mika's face.

"It's Miss Mikaela to you."

"....Wha...but...ugh, fine."

"Fine, what?"

"Fine...Miss Mikaela."

"Good. Now let's go and try to find ourselves a blacksmith and some weapons."

Shop by shop they left each one, either because they didn't have what they were looking for or the lines were too long.

Feet tired, patience running low, and it was almost time to meet up with her mother, Mikaela wanted to call it a quit and try again after school starts.

Yet, as they were about to leave the district, Jonas spots a small blacksmith shop.

"Should we try it?" Saavi looked towards Mika.

"En. It wouldn't hurt to try."
