"How are you feeling after seeing your friend die?"
The question came out of no where. It stunned Kara a little. She didn't think the Commander would openly ask a question like that.
Looking at for a reply. The Commander waited as she came back to herself.
"Umm...yes I was heartbroken, I didn't think that you would eject her." Kara answer sounded pre-recorded even to her own ears.
Lifting up an eye brown, the Commander looked at Kara with blatant contempt.
"Oh? You didn't think I would eject an person who lied to me, endangered the passengers of this fleet, and stolen a ticket from someone else. Then what should I eject someone for?"
Shaking his head with laughter the Commander caused Kara's face to flame bright red.
"Sir, we are just as shock as the rest of the crew." Pace tried to save Kara from her embarrassment.
"We have interacted with Lila more than anyone else; so we feel closer to this lost."
Pace's talking stopped the Commander's laughter. Leaving the room silent once again.
"Yes. That is true, you are close to this matter."
Looking down at his desk the Commander picked up one of the bottles of green fluid. This was one of the best kept secrets of the country. Even the former president didn't even know about it.
Pace and Kara peeked at one another. Realizing that this meeting is not going how they thought it would go.
"Sir, Umm... the reason why we are here?" Pace finally caved after Kara's urged him to say something to break to silence.
"Hmm." Breaking eye contact with the bottle. The Commander once again gave them his attention. Secretary Jun never saw the General like this. He hoped the General can pull himself out of whatever funk he was in long enough to deal with these two.
"Looking at your faces it seems your happy after killing your friend."
The Commander's voice was so casual. That the statement almost was over looked by both Kara and Pace. When it hit them, they felt their hearts drop to the floor.
"Sir, I'm not understanding what you mean?"
Kara though she might have heard wrong. But when the Commander's eye swung towards her, she felt her whole life open up for his judgement. This is the first time Kara ever felt this way. Sweat and tears poured down her face. Her breath sped up. She couldn't stop this reaction of her's.
Pace saw Kara falling apart. He called her name but all she continue to do was stare at the Commander. The room's temperature was rising with every second; to the point where it was getting harder to breath.
Unable to take it anymore Pace left his position, walked to Kara grab her arms and shook her out of her stupor. Breaking the connection between the two, Pace felt the room going back to normal. He couldn't understand what hell happen...
Coming out of the trance Kara's mind was once again her's. Spinning around Kara looked to see her surrounding. Realizing she never left the Commander's office. Kara was stunned to her core.
"Wha...What just happen!?" She looked at Pace for answers.
"You blanked out. I called and called, but you didn't respond. I had to shake you out of whatever had you." Pace observe Kara trying to skim for any clue to what happen in the room.
"You been stealing your friend's work from the time you were in elementary school. Made a name for yourself on someone else's work. Then frame them for the thief and had them killed. Have I gotten it all correct, Miss Kara." The Commander brought them back to the situation at hand.
"Well I don't really need you to answer what I already know."
Seeing the General no longer wanting to prolong the conversation. Secretary Jun brought in the two soldiers standing guard outside the door.
"Restrain these two."
"What is going on!?" The two soldiers subdued the two. Behind their back cuffs restrained their wrist.
"We are going to try a little experiment." The Commander came around the back of his desk carrying the two bottles.
"Why are you going this?" Eyes watery, face red Kara lifted up her head from the floor to look at the Commander.
"Do I really need to explain why this is happening to you?...Oh! well maybe I do, considering your not as intelligent as I thought you were... This is happening because you use my hands to kill your friend. I don't appreciate that."
The tone in his voice made Kara and Pace's skin crawl.
"We didn't d-"
"YOU STILL DARE TO LIE TO ME!" The shout made everyone's ears ring.
"I'm sorry...I'm sorry..." Kara kept apologizing over and over. Pace was too scared to even raise his head up.
"I sacrifice a true genius because of you two. You are now mine. You will eat, sleep and shit only when I say to. And right now.... I want you to sallow this."
