'Billions' War' that's what they called it. A war that took billions of people lives, destroyed cities and made thriving countries disappear. Leaving humanity only choice of survival in outer space. Scientist estimated that humanity only has 60 years to get off this world before it becomes inhabitable.

"Whose F***ers! Only Ten years are left." Lila munched on chips thinking about how short her life will be. Even with the last remaining countries building spacecrafts. There are still not enough room to support the millions left on this world. Which meant people will be left behind.

Because the survival of the human race is at stake. The government requires every child to enter into military schooling. There they be taught everything from military combat to botany, and everything in-between. Those who show outstanding achievements in these field were give a seat on the ships. Those at the bottom were left waiting to see if any seats are available. Which is now Lila's predicament.

"Who did you wrong this time for you to cursed them in public?" Lila looked up as Kara walked over with groupies laughing behind her. Kara has always been surrounded by people. Lila was once attracted to that same personality, until she saw the true Kara. Kara wears a mask so thick that it couldn't be washed off with water. Everyone thought, she was a genius. Except for the fact that Lila was the one who did all the work.

From the time Lila was bought to the orphanage, they found she had a weak body. She was much smaller than the others of her age. Lila spend the majority of her childhood in the hospital or staying inside the orphanage. The only person who spent time with her was Kara.

From kindergarten to beginning of high school this continued. Until Lila turned fifteen.

Lila walked into school to stares and whispers. Lila had never been in that kind of social environment. It was overwhelming. The only person she could depend on was Kara. When she went to go find her, Kara friends got in her way, "What do you want? Can't you see Kara is busy." pushing Lila away.

"It's bad enough that she has to spend time at the orphanage taking care and tutoring you. But now she has to do it in school too seriously." they grumble. All the while Kara sat in the back ignoring the whole situation. As if she didn't hear a word of the commotion in the classroom.

It wasn't until she met with her homeroom teacher that she realized, Kara has been stealing her work all these years. Rumors went around school that Lila has been leeching off of Kara since childhood. and since they have never met Lila before, the rumors stayed with Lila.

Everyone saw Kara as a genius and Lila the dunce. Kara doing this made it impossible for Lila to get a seat on one of those ships.

"Hey! Can't you hear, who are you yelling at?" One of Kare followers asked. Lila named her Tweetle Dumber.

"A thief." Lila spoke in cold detach voice, looking straight at Kara. Kara shuddered, while Tweetle Dumber twin sister, Tweetle Dimwit, asked if she called the law enforcement.

"No, it's been too many years since the initial robbery." Still giving Kara her full attention. Kara felt pressure weighting down on her.

Sweat broke out on her forehead, she was about the yell out for mercy. When Lila concentration was broken from Kara to Tweetle Dimwit putting her hand in Lila's bag of snacks.

"WTF! Are you crazy? You never touch a woman's snacks." Lila slapped the offensive hand from her bag.

With the spell broken Kara took a big breath of air. She looked back Lila, where did that pressure come from. Looking again at Lila arguing, she felt nothing. The pressure was gone like it never existed. It must have been her imagination.

"You can't even share one snack. You have a whole bag full." Tweetle Dumber pointed out, trying to comfort she sister at the same time.

"Why should I?"

"Lila, why do you have to be this way?" recovered from her shock, Kara chose this movement to reaffirm her gentle image to everyone. "We as human must learn to give when others are in need."

"Oh yeah, Well I'm in need of a golden ticket. Care to give to a person in need." Lila held out her hand in front of a froze Kara.

"You actually think that you deserve a ticket." Tweetle Dimwit laughed successfully taking the attention off of Kara. "Lila you can't take other people hard earned work . Kara's ticket was personally giving to her by the Commander General himself . She has a seat right there with all the higher ups.."

Kara head bent down, making people believe she was shy from Dimwit praises. But in reality she was horridly embarrassed by Dimwit. What the sense in praising the thief in front of the victim.

"Enough Ji Biyu", Kare put a gentle hand on Ji Biyu shoulder, drawing her back from Lila.

"If things could be change I would willing give you my ticket, but unfortunately they can't. We must all live with the life fate has given us." The last part was whispered so softly, that if Kara wasn't close to Lila's ear she probably wouldn't have heard it.

Quickly standing back up she turn to her friends and offered to buy them snacks as apology on Lila behalf.

Kara turned back toward Lila, "We grew up together, we were once friends can't we be like that again?" Lila would have like nothing more than to still have her old friend back. The past Kara was her friend, the present Kara...

"No, because I'm not like you. I can't pretend" Lila shook her head.
