For the past week, Ailwin hadn't seen one hair of Mika. He tried to, but every time he comm her to go somewhere, she'll replied she was busy. Feeling a little blue, he took up Dean Eolith's offer to be the guest judge for the competition this week.

When the students and facility saw that a Prince and his General were going to judge the matches this week, many of the participants went out of their way to show off; resulting in long drawn-out matches.

"Some of these students are just brutal..." Ailwin looked at the two students fighting on stage.

"Yea...the amount of injuries these students are receiving, are way more serious than the ones the students got when we were here." Braeden agreed, remembering one of the matches were he had to call the referees to stop the fight before someone dies.

With the Dean asking them to be the judges, they had a responsibility to see that none of the students dies on their watch.

"How many matches are left?" They had already sat through ten today and were feeling restlessness entering into their bones.

"Six more to go..." Kaze replied.

Braeden looked over the details in the itinerary for today and started to laugh,  "Ailwin, I think I know why Mika has been blowing you off for the past week."

"Mmm?" Braeden pass Ailwin the tablet that held the schedule for the day.

"Mika is the competitor for the last six matches today..." Braeden said, trying to contain his glee from Ailwin's eyes.

"What...!? How can she have six matches?"

Why didn't she tell me...

Ailwin hated being the last to know information about his people.

And she is definitely mine... Wait! Wha-Where the hell did that come from...!?

"Well, it's not like you can do anything any ways. You shouldn't draw any more attention to yourself and her." Braeden reminded.

Remembering Kamryn intrusion into his date, Ailwin agreed but he still didn't like not knowing.

"Don't worry she'll be fine..." Braeden comforted, he had seen Mika's gifts first hand.

"Announcing the next match..." When the referee's voice came over the speakers, Ailwin' and Braeden's enthusiasm renewed.

"This match is between 1st year student Mikaela Amara and....hold on one moment..." The referee was stopped by a student council member running up on stage.

"What is going on?" Ailwin looked down at the stage, where a group of people were bring up a big octagon table and chairs.

"I don't know..." Braeden shook his head, he didn't have a clue about what was going on.

"Students, facility and guests... We have a surprised match here for you today. The six remaining matches will be combine into one and instead of fighting, these students will all play General's Bounty(Black Jack)!" The crowd broke out into murmurs as this was the first time since the competition began that the opponents would do something other than combat.

"This is going to be interesting..."

"How fun..."

"Honestly, I was getting tired of all the fighting..."

"Yes, me too."

The audience was pleased with this last match of the day, however Mika's six opponent weren't.

"What the hell! When did I decide to play General's Bounty! I'm ready to fight!" Emmyth, Mika's first competitor, shouted at the council member in the waiting room.

"Yea, that's right! I'm supposed to fight that girl not play cards!" Deulara, Mika's second opponent, complained.

"That's right how can you just make changes whenever you want!" Vasati, Mika's third opponent, joined in.

They all bombarded the council member with shouts of complaints until he couldn't take it anymore and shouted in return.

"HEY!... None of you filled out the bottom half of the form, telling us what you want to challenge your opponent in. So, the option went to your opponent to decide and she choose this! If you don't want to take part in the game that is fine, we will just announce your forfeit!..." Realizing that the error was on their part, the three students settle down.

"...but we assumed that all challenges are to be combat...."

"Well, you assumed wrong. Make your decision, I need to notify the referee and the other opponents that their matches are starting now..." The council member was about to walk away when he suddenly turned back around, "...oh! I just a heads up, if you're thinking about forfeiting you should read what you'll be giving up as the loser. It's should have been sent to your comms with the confirmation form."

After the council member walked away, the three students looked at each other feeling dread crawl into their stomachs. Opening up their comms they each read the line where Mika's wrote down her condition should they lose the match to her.

If my opponents lose the match to me, they shall give up being a student at this academy....forever.

"F**K!"
