Kasra awoke in the middle of the night on Lixiss' bedroom floor, scared and freezing she sat up carefully. Catching movement on the bed, startled she jumps back and croaks out a scream before she realizes its Lixiss sleeping.

Covering her mouth she flees the room as quickly as she possibly could. Once in her bedroom, Kasra tried to calm herself down and inspected her injuries the bruises around her neck were black and blue, stark against her sun-kissed complexion. The swelling around her throat will leave her mute for a couple of days.

Thinking of hiding the marks Kasra reaches for her cream but couldn't stop shaking, it slips from her hand.

Remembering the feeling of when she thought she was going to die, Karsa couldn't stop the warm flow of tears that streamed down her face. For the rest of the night, Kasra cried, until she cried herself to sleep.

Lixiss woke up the following morning to the chirping of birds and sun rays coming in through her windows.

Opening her eyes and stretching out her body giddy and relax, getting out of bed Lixiss felt like this was going to be a perfect day.

Leaving her room, she found Kasra in the kitchen hunched over the little stove making breakfast. Kasra didn't notice Lixiss had already wakened and sat down as usual at the table to eat.

So when she turned around to see Lixiss' smiling face looking straight at her, Kasra heart jumped out of her chest, the pan in her hand drop to the floor and Kasra huddled into the corner.

Looking at her maid who was trembling in the corner of the kitchen just from looking at her, Lixiss had no words.

Getting out of her seat Lixiss wanted to see if Kasra was hurt anywhere from the hot food splattering on the floor, but every time she would step closer Kasra would move three steps back. It was almost as if Kasra was terrified of her!

It was only when she looked at Kasra tear stain face that images from the previous night started to play in her head.

"Oh my! I'm so sorry Kasra, please believe me I'm so sorry..." Wanting to hug Kasra in her arms Lixiss rushed forward only to see Kasra's back as she zoomed off to her room and locked the door.

Lixiss stared at the place Kasra once stood, feeling like the lowest person in the world. Her confidant and best friend now ran from her scared. Alone in the kitchen, she felt the emptiness more in her heart.

Joanos left her, now Kasra is scared of her, who else will leave her side. Unable to handle the emotions and insecurities building inside her, Lixiss went back to her room sat on her bed and pull another vial from the sack downing it in a matter of seconds.

Off Lixiss went into her dreamland where everything was as she wanted it to be.

In the same morning, Mika, Saavi, and Kaze were preparing for Mika's first treatment.

Depending on how much of the poison has already been absorbed by Mika's bones will determine the extent of the treatment plan.

Mika will need to lay in a tub while the bone horntail bugs burrow into her body and suck out the toxins.

Lord Tasar's household healer will administer the Levofine cutting the pain down to half because Levofine is a very potent painkiller it must be given in small doses.

Off and on Mika will need to lay there as the bugs do their job, once the first batch is done she'll need to rest to regain her strength for the next round until the poison is cleared from her system. She won't be able to move, eat or use the bathroom as the bug's venom will make her paralyzed.

As Saavi said the last of her prayers up to the and gods Kaze secured all windows and doors from intruders, Mika stretches laying her body down in the cold tub.

"Okay, I'm ready."

Laying down straight Mika slows down her breathing, relaxing her tense body and nerves.

Kaze came back in confirming everything was secure in the house nodding towards the Udava household healer to begin.

The healer administers the Levofine into Mika's system, Saavi picked up the container of bone horntail bugs. Lord Tasar was able to capture about ten or so for the first line of treatment.

Once she got the green light from the healer Saavi began placing the bugs along Mika's legs and arms.

With the bugs burrowing in, at first only feeling a light pinch but soon the pain turned into a full-on hot poker stabbing into her extremities. If this was the pain with Levofine what would the pain be like without it?

This will not be the first time Mika will regret her choice of action against her sisters and their mother. Nor will it be the last time she'll curse them to hell and back for the torment they'll give her.

This was the first time Kaze and Saavi have watched such a treatment. Kaze couldn't take it he felt the bugs were crawling on him. To keep his mind sharp and to escape from the procedure he decided to guard from the living room.
