Kaze watched Saavi run towards Mika instead of running away. Throwing her body, Saavi slammed into Mika with all her might.
The last thing Kaze saw before the energy burst knocked him off his feet was Saavi hugging onto Mika's body.
This was the tenth energy blast he'd taken from Mika, Kaze's body was in pain as he picked himself off the floor.
Hoping to see both Mika and Saavi safe and sound, Kaze looks towards the middle of the ring.
When he turned his head the first thing he saw was dust, before seeing Mika's body lying on the ground.
Panicking, he called out to her as he ran into the sparring ring.
Coming upon Mika's body to could see signs of Saavi body lying beside hers.
"Saavi...?"
Reaching his hand to touch Saavi's shoulder, Kaze flipped her onto her back. Checking Saavi's pulse and giving her body a once over, he sighed in relief when he realized she just passed out.
Lord Tasar was right behind Kaze when he ran to Mika's and Saavi's positions. Afraid of what he might find, Tasar subconsciously let Kaze check the scene as he waited for the final outcome.
When he saw Kaze's happy face, Lord Tasar couldn't believe that both of them were okay. Needing verbal confirmation, he asked Kaze.
"Are they both....okay?"
"Yes, we're both okay, but they're knocked out. We should move them now while we still can."
"En...quickly."
Kaze picked Mika up and Lord Tasar carried Saavi in his arms.
Reaching Mika's residence swiftly Kaze placed Mika inside her healing pod, and Lord Tasar placed Saavi on Mika's bed.
"I'll check over Miss Mikaela's maid as the healing pod is operating its test." The healer said after making sure the healing pod was working correctly.
Giving Saavi a basic check-up, he found nothing wrong with her. Knowing she'll wake up in a short while, the healer left Saavi's side to give all of his attention to Mika.
Kaze stood between to two, one in a pod with the other unconscious on the bed, wishing the two would wake up soon.
"..ugh...Mikaela..."
Saavi woke up first, though still a little bit dizzy, her initial reaction was the look for Mika.
"Shh...everything is fine now, we have her inside the pod. Relax..."
Kaze spoke softly as he pushed Saavi back down on the bed to rest for a while.
"Lord Tasar...there's a problem..."
Hearing the healer say there was a problem with Mika both Kaze and Saavi got up to see what was wrong.
Lord Tasar understood they were both here to protect Mika and didn't bother with protocol, telling the healer to speak freely.
"When miss Mikaela came here she already had the poison in her for months, and although the poison didn't absorb into her bones completely there was still a time crunch for the treatment to be completed. Now with Miss Mikaela's awakening, the remaining poison is integrating into her bones at an alarming rate...If we don't do the rest of the procedures right now, Miss Mikaela won't be able the get rid of the Ivory Smother...."
The healer let the diagnosis hang in the air, giving the decision to Lord Tasar, Saavi and Kaze.
Silence encased the room until Saavi spoke again.
"How many days will it take to do the procedure?"
Everyone looked at the healer for the answer. They knew the only reason for Mika's stay, even if the only option was to do procedure after procedure for the next two months they would have to find a way to do it.
"Umm...I think you have misunderstood me. Miss Mikaela can't wait, if she doesn't get all the poison out of her right now, she will never get it out of her. The procedure has to be done all at once..."
"WHAT!?" Three voices shout out at the same time in the healer's face.
They all had the same thought, it was already hard enough for her to handle one procedure and he wanted her to do all of them at once.
Wasn't that sentencing her to death?
"Please decide quickly every moment we wait, the poison is assimilating into her bones..."
Kaze couldn't make this decision if he made the wrong choice... how could he face Mikaela, or even Lord Mano and Lady Lyra again?
Feeling the pressure, Kaze kept silent.
Lord Tasar wanted to comm Lord Mano, it was his daughter, after all, he should be the one to make such a difficult decision.
Although he knew it would take a day for information to get to Lord Mano and a day to get back, Lord Tasar still wanted to take the chance.
Just when he was going to assert his standpoint, he heard a voice.
"Do it."
Saavi stared straight at the healer's face as she made the decision.
The healer turned, looking towards Lord Tasar for approval.
"Saavi, do you understand what your doing!? Miss Mikaela can die under that kind of pain... you do not have that authority to make that choice for her."
Lord Tasar thought Saavi was being careless with a decision that could cost his good friend his daughter.
"With all due respect Lord Tasar, I have full authority to make this decision, Lady Lyra gave me guardianship over her daughter, Miss Mikaela, for all of her medical treatments. "
Saavi went into her bag and pulled out Lady Lyra's medallion, signifying Saavi one of the leaders of the Amara clan.
"Do it...prepare the procedure now."
