'Speak of the devil?!, speak of the devil?!!!, who are you calling devil? Witch!!!' With all these thoughts going through her head, Shola's face was as tranquil as water as she stared at Elizabeth and smiled sweetly.
"Mother in- law!" Shola said as she walked up to the Old madam.
She stared at the woman for a few seconds before she turned around and walked towards Nathan
Nathan who was busy trying to signal his mother to refrain from saying anything about what they were just discussing suddenly felt soft lips land on his.
Shola kissed Nathan not just to annoy her mother in-law but to mark her territory

"You're back so early?" Shola said in a low seductive voice, Nathan who was still surprised quickly regained his composure and nodded, he always felt like his wife's personality changes everyday.
Elizabeth clenched her fists so hard that her palms were almost bleeding.
She still had that smile on her face like she was admiring the couple while The Old madam's expression was as ugly as a baboon...a baboon's butt!
"What do you think this is?, can't you at least give respect to your elders?" her voice was cold but what annoyed her the most was that; Sholana wasn't even looking at her but at Nathan like she and Elizabeth didn't exist.
"This is why Elizabeth is the only one right for my son!, she has both the background and character!, she is beautiful and charismatic! "
The moment The Old madam finished her words, Shola turned around to look at the woman "mm....well too bad, I'm already married to him already, so...."
Shola stared at Elizabeth for a long time like she was thinking of something important.
Elizabeth couldn't take it any more and quickly asked "So what?"
"So...you should stop setting sights on my husband and go find another man for yourself before you start having grey hairs.....
how old are you now?, like 41. ...or 42?"
Sholana said as she looked at Elizabeth from head to toe.
Elizabeth's entire calm demeanor was now shattered as she stared daggers at Shola "You...." She was so angry she couldn't find any words, the worst insult you can ever tell a woman is that she looks way.....way older than her age.
Elizabeth was about to yell out the words 'I'm 24!' but was soon cut off by the old madam
"The kind of words that come out of your mouth is just like your family's stature, like your mother's!, so I'm not surprised you would say something as hurtful as this to the poor girl"
The moment her mother was insulted Sholana almost lost it but; she felt Nathan's hand on her's instantly calming her down.
"*yawn*, I'm tired mother in-law, I'm going to go and sleep now" Sholana said not sparing them another glance before leaving. She was calm now but she had made up her mind, that woman poisoned her and put Jason in jail!.
She had given up on making the woman like her, to hell with her and her so, soooo, so, fancy and greeeeaaaaaat family!
After Shola walked upstairs, The Old madam looked at her son like she was about to lecture him
"Like I've said son, You and Elizabeth have been friends since childhood. The both of you are the most compatible for each other!"
Elizabeth had on an innocent expression almost like she also didn't want this. She was lucky that Nathan didn't know her real intentions if not he wouldn't be close to her as he is now.
"Mother, can you even hear your self speak?, you're telling me to get divorced with someone I love and marry a good friend?, you really think everything will go according to the way you want it, do you think you are God?" The Old madam had never heard her son speak to her with such disrespect before, since from when she was a little girl she has already gotten used to getting everything she wants
she wasn't ready to give up pairing her son with Elizabeth.
'good friend?' Elizabeth was slightly disappointed when he addressed her this way but she was also happy that she was this close to him in his heart.
"Nathan...my only son, you are one of my greatest achievements and pride!, That woman......"
"Sholana!, her name is Sholana!" Nathan interrupted angrily, he didn't wait for his mother to reply before bring out his phone from his pocket.
"...Nathan, who are you calling?"
"Your husband!" Nathan coldly as he put the phone to his ear.
The Old madam panicked, she rushed up to Nathan and took the phone from his hand and ended the call.
"Are you mad!" She screamed crazily, she didn't fear anything or anyone but her husband!, he was the most ruthless person she had ever met in her life and she was too scared to get him angry.
If he finds out that she was forcing Nathan to divorce the woman HE picked for him
"Nathan, I am your mother" The Old madam said pitifully as she held her son's arm
"If you are, then act like it!" Nathan left no room for her reply as he walked away.
The Old madam sneered at him and turned to look at Elizabeth "It seems he won't divorce that woman till he gets a reason to!.
Do you still have Jackson's number?"
Elizabeth nodded at the Old madam as her smile grew wider, if Nathan found out about his wife's nasty past and maybe....just maybe witness it before his own eyes, there is no way he would still be with her.

Shola took deep breaths to calm her self but for some reason she only got angrier.
She stripped off her clothes and went into the shower, the temperature of the water was really low but Shola didn't mind, she didn't know how long she had stood there for.
That woman would always find any opportunity she gets to insult her family, she was tired of it!
If she wasn't Nathan's mother she would have strangled her there and then!
She didn't know why she had never been allowed to at least have a happy moment in life, it is always one problem after the other.
Sholana felt like she was cursed, Jason was in jail, her parents were divorced and her father has been overworking himself to suppresses his heart break, she lost her innocence to some maniac. The only thing she felt was a blessing in her life was Nathan, he was always protecting her, going out of his way to makes sure she is always happy.
The water temperature gradually increased till it was warm and comfortable, Shola was startled when she felt someone hug her from behind.
Her knees went weak and Nathan was the one holding her up, Shola blushed as she realized they were both naked!
Nathan wrapped his hands intimately around her waist before turning off the shower.
He grabbed a towel and wrapped her in it, Shola was still surprised as she stared at his face, she actually saw him naked and he saw her to.....
"What are you staring at?" Nathan had already wrapped a towel around his waist but Sholana was still standing there like a statue staring at him.
Shola shook her head quickly and left the bathroom with him.
Nathan sat Shola down down on his lap and began to dry her hair, while Sholana still hadn't recovered from their intimate moment in the bathroom, Nathan was gently patting her hair dry
"Don't take whatever Mother said to heart" Shola was caught off guard when he said this, she then remembered that woman again and her eyes turned cold
"Sorry Nathan but this time, I'm really upset. I don't understand why our mothers can't face the fact that we're not getting divorced, and that we love each other. They are making life so difficult and unbearable!" Shola said as she stared at her reflection in the mirror but her mind wasn't really there at the moment.
"Exactly Sholana, we love each other, we are married to each other and we should only care about each other's opinions about us, no one else's" Nathan said carrying her in his arms to the bed
"You shouldn't hurt yourself just because of the words mother said to you, you could have caught a cold you know?"
His voice was soft, gentle, Sholana felt warm inside as she smiled at him cupping his face, she finally said the words that has been in her mind for a very long time
"Nathan, lets go on a vacation, just the two of us"
