Shola opened her eyes to a familiar but yet unfamiliar surrounding. She sat up from the bed trying to recall everything that happened that morning, she quickly composed her thoughts as she got off the bed,
she looked in the direction of the table she bumped her leg into and saw that the photo frame had been fixed. She decided to go and take a closer look.
" That Mr. Handsome really wasn't lying" she had a bitter smile on her face.
She had always thought of how big she was going to make her wedding and she was going to rent a golden chariot and ride on it with her groom... she also vowed that she would marry a Korean but, Mr. Handsome looks Chinese! .
She was so deep in her thoughts that she didn't notice when Mr. Handsome….I mean Nathan stood behind her.
"It was six months ago"
"Ah!" Shola got startled and almost slapped the man behind her, luckily he was fast enough to dodge before it hit him.
"Sorry if I startled you" Nathan smiled gently taking the photo from her hands "I was saying our wedding was six months ago, you really hated me back then so you decided to have a simple wedding just to annoy me" Nathan laughed making Shola mesmerized as she stared at him, she soon snapped out of her daze and replied with an 'o'
"Your mother called, she says she's on her way"
"Does...Is she aware that food poisoning caused my memory loss"
Shola asked with all seriousness but Nathan couldn't help but find her cute. He nodded his head as then looked at her appearance.
"You should go take a shower and come downstairs to eat something ok?" Nathan said softly like he was speaking to a child.
"Can you tell me more about...me?" Shola couldn't help but ask, she had already accepted the fact that she really did lose 9years of her life
but she was sure that she would get through this, she had to be strong.
"After you rest, I can tell you anything you want ok?" Nathan put his hand on her cheek but then remembered she wasn't used to this kind of affection, he awkwardly tapped her shoulder and left.
Seeing the man turn around to leave, Shola subconsciously put her hand on the cheek he touched, she could still feel the warmth of his hand and soon she smiles without realizing it.
Shola stared at her reflection in the bathroom mirror in a trance, she had a light brown skin colour and a nice shape and curves and a pretty large chest. Her legs were long and sexy and her brown eyes complimented her skin, her eyes were shaped like almonds….sort of making it harder to look away.
Her pink lips curved into a smile " I guess going through puberty was worth it. Haha".
After her shower, Shola opened the first wardrobe but all she saw was designer suits 'oops wrong wardrobe'
She opened the next one and was ???? shocked at what she saw.
''This is one large closet" she thought as she walked into the place that was calling her.
After a long while she finally found a perfect and simple sky blue dress she stood in front of the mirror satisfied with her look, she soon left the room.
Shola didn't have to find the kitchen, her nose led her straight to the kitchen and an alluring sight.
Nathan was busy chopping vegetables with a serious expression, he looked really attractive as his nice looking brows looked relaxed and his dark green eyes as calm as water,
his thin lips were slightly open along with his dress shirt showing a bit of his pale smooth skin.
Nathan had already noticed that Shola was there but when he realized she was busy admiring him, he decided to just let her have her way for a while.
Shola snapped out of her daze after 2 minutes of admiring, she herself couldn't believe how long she stood there staring at the man.
"Are you going to continue staring?" Nathan said making Shola lower her head in embarrassment.
"No...I'm going to go sit now" She said with her head still lowered.
After eating Shola felt like she really had the strength to think now, she and Nathan were both sitting on the couch both buried in awkward silence
"Cough...I….you…what's your name?" She just said the first question that popped in her mind.
Its was then that Nathan realized that he hadn't really told her his name yet but he had already known her for so long. This feeling was really weird.
"Nathan, Nathan Lu"
"So….you're Chinese?"????????.
She wished he would say a Korean name but she was disappointed 'well there goes my hope of having an epic romance story'
"..." Nathan was taken aback when he heard a hint of disappointment in her voice, he only nodded and she answered with an 'o'.
Shola was about to ask another question when she heard a familiar voice call her name
"Sholana, honey" Her mom called as Shola walked up to her mother to hug her. Her mother was the first person she recognized since waking up and Shola felt a bit emotional but her mother soon said words that made her tears stop midway
"So, your stupid mother has finally succeeded in harming my daughter!" Mrs. Lana said looking angrily at Nathan.
