Nina said as she got into the driver seat, when she realised she was acting too suspicious she decided to calm her self down and smile at Shola, "Now that you've gotten what you wanted, I'm going to go back to my date now and you'll have to drive home from there, that's your punishment"
Shola nodded her head but her eyes were on Nina's face.
"Mommy your phone is ringing"
"Oh" Sholana stared at the screen of her phone and creased her brows in confusion, she doesn't remember giving anyone her number recently and she didn't recognize the number calling her
"Hello, Shola its Jenner!"
A smile appeared on Shola's face, she was really happy because she hadn't spoken to Jenner for a while.
Jenner has been the person informing her about Nathan's well being although, Shola had been too scared to ask for his new lover.
She only wanted to know, if he was sick, if he had eaten.....
"Why are you calling is something wrong?"
"Nope, I just missed Ella's voice" She said, of course Jenner was lying, after leaving the hospital, Nathan told her everything that happened and she was the only person who knew Nina's relationship with Nathan.
Nina had threatened her...yep, and told her not to speak a word of it because it was not her secret to tell.
While Jenner was asking Ella some questions, Shola was trying to eavesdrop.
She couldn't hear anything but her expression soon changed when Ella spoke
"Is uncle Nathan there with you?"
Nina's grip on the steering wheel tightened 'This is what you get for trusting a child'
Nina was prepared for the scolding of ger life and she was sure that with her bad skills at lying Shola would definitely find everything out today.
Shola was patient and waited for Ella to finish the call, Ella mentioned the uncle again and again and the fact that she was talking to Jenner only scared her
'The Nathan they're talking about must be...'
"Nina stop the car!" Shola yelled startling Nina. She immediately stepped on the brakes
"What the hell!" Nina complained but Shola didn't pay any attention to her
"Who?, who is uncle Nathan?"
Ella's eyes wandered around the car, she stared at Nina who was mouthing the words 'no!' to her.
"Mommy, I'm sorry. I lied to you" Ella started crying and hugged her mother
"Oh gosh, honey don't cry.....what did you lie about?, don't worry, I won't yell at you anymore" Shola said gently as she held the girl's shoulders
"Don't be scared and tell mommy ok ?"
Ella nodded, wiping her eyes she stared at Nina before she began in a low voice
"Uncle Nathan is my friend, but god mommy told him that she was my mommy and she also hugged uncle Nathan, she told me not to tell you"
Joanna was sure that was the most words the girl had ever said in her life but she had to ask
"Which god mommy are you talking about?, don't confuse your mother and specify"
"She's talking about me!" Nina said, she took a seep breath and decided, if Shola asked she would tell her the truth, she herself was tired of living with secrets every day.
"Why?, why did you tell Ella to lie?" Shola already knew the answer, she just wanted to hear it, she just wanted to confirm, if Ella met her father.
"Because, I didn't want you to know Nathan was in London, I didn't want Nathan to know Ella was his daughter and....I didn't want you to know that.....that I am Nathan's older sister!"
Nina decided to say everything in one breath, she didn't want to lose her friendship with Shola but she knew that if Shola found out the truth from someone else.
Then there really was no hope fro their friendship anymore.
"You're his sister?, why?, why did you low to me all these years? why would you keep something as important as this from me?" Shola felt her eyes stinging, she was hurt, she felt betrayed and she felt scared.
She didn't want to lose such a good friend, she didn't want lose someone important to her
"Because I didn't want to lose the three of you!, all my life, the only friends I have had, have all been just because of my parent's arrangement, none it was sincere
All of it was fake, it all changed when I met you Shola, you listened to my story, you comforted me and you were carrying my niece in your womb, you were so hurt back then I was sure you were going to cut all ties with me when you find out who I really was, I am sorry I lied to you Shola, I was being selfish"
Tears were already rolling down their cheeks, Joanna and Shola both held Nina's hands, they looked and Nina and felt sorry for her.
Nina was the strongest among them, this was the first time they had seen her cry before
"Its okay, I understand, you don't have to cry. Please stop crying" Shola tapped her shoulders gently
Nina wiped her tears and gave Shola and Joanna an apologetic look
"I'm sorry"
"its okay, just from now on, no more secrets between us okay?"
all three of them nodded and smiled to themselves,
"Oh, no more secrets so it means I have to say this.....I'm the one who always takes away your vanilla ice creams from the fridges" Joanna confessed putting in a guilty expression
"We all knew that silly, it was sooo obvious! "
Nina said starting the car again.

"Elizabeth my dear, you should come to China by tomorrow, Nathan is coming in three days and well, three nights ago when I spoke to him, he said that he would get married to any one I choose!, isn't this great news?" the time she spoke to Nathan about this he was so annoyed and depressed that he just said the first thing that came to mind but now.....The Old madam had already convinced herself that her son had finally agreed.
"I will be there as soon as I can!" Elizabeth said as she hung up excitedly, she jumped on her bed for a while before she picked up her phone and called her fiancé
"Johnny, Lets break up!"
"What?!, why?"
"Because you're not up to my standard and of course you don't deserve me!"
Elizabeth ended the call happily, she could finally have what she had wanted her whole life.

Jenner said after the hung up, she just finished talking to Shola on phone and Shola had decided that she wanted to tell Nathan about everything
"Why would my sister my sister lie to me?" Nathan looked at Jenner,
"Well, you'll find out everything later but on a totally unrelated topic, Sholana wants to meet up!"
Nathan's heart trembled, the person he had been looking for, she...
"Sholana is here?, where is she?" Nathan got up from the couch putting on his jacket
"Well if you would wait for me to finish...she said she wants to meet at the diner 2 blocks away, she says she has somethings she needs to tell you, she says you should come alone and please don't bring your 'girlfriend'?"
Nathan realised that she still remembered his words, she thinks that he really loves someone else.
It was just a dumb excuse he came up with so that she would sign the papers
"When?.....wait, how do you have her number?"
"uh...tomorrow, she said we should meet her tomorrow at eight.?'' Jenner grabbed her purse and left hotel room.
"She's hiding something" Nathan said to himself.
But he didn't care about anything right now except for telling Sholana the truth.
He realised he can't live without her anymore, he had to tell her everything.

"Shola are you sure about this?, I mean do you really want to tell Nathan about Ella?"
Shola looked around the diner, it wasn't very crowded, it was definitely the perfect place for a talk
"Joanna, he does have every right to know, and I have to tell him so that I can get this load off my chest, Ella needs her father in her life also.

She stared at the drink in front of her and then stared at the little girl sleeping next to her, she had to do this for her daughter.
This meeting had to happen, her daughter would just ask more and more questions when she gets older.
"Don't worry honey, mommy will protect you the best she can!" Shola stared at the girl on her lap and she felt warm, even if she lost everything, as long as she had Ella she would be able to move forward.
Her courage was building up but it all shattered when she heard that familiar voice behind her.
