Nathan tensed up, he knew he had to tell her everything
He wasn't sure if she would accept him or if she wouldn't care.
He knew he had hurt her but he was scared of her rejection
"What.....What is that supposed to mean?" Shola looked into his eyes, she wanted to hear his reason.
She wanted to hear that it was all a misunderstanding, that he still loves her.
That he still wants to be with her but.....she knew it was just her imagination, of course he wouldn't say things like that but maybe....just maybe....
"The poison....you remember it right?"
Shola nodded, of course she did.
The time of her memory loss was one f the best and worst times of her life.
It made her who she was today and part of her was grateful to the old madam....a very tinsy.....tiny.....small...tinsy part of her.
"It.....it was to kill you but also to either paralyze you or make you lose your sanity"
Shola was shocked, she knew that the poison was hard to cure but she didn't know the old madam would actually go that far
She clenched her fists, she wanted to meet that woman and pound her to a pulp.
"My mother had the only antidote" Nathan continued
"In return for it, I had to let you go, I had to make you think that I didn't care.
I knew you were going to get hurt by it but I still did it
I am sorry Sholana, I was stupid to make you go through all this alone.
To let you raise our child alone, for not being able to protect you these past years.
I am here now, I want to be by your side again Sholana.

Shola wasn't staring at his face anymore but at her fists.
She wanted to say something, she was so happy that all of it wasn't real, she was happy that he really loved her but.....
She was quiet, heart felt heavy.
Didn't he trust her enough to tell her?, was he making up a story?
She didn't know what to believe, her mind was a mess at the moment.
Nathan felt sad, he didn't know what was going through her mind and why she was silent for such a long time but, he was still patient.
He wanted his wife back, he didn't want to lose her again
"I don't expect your answer now Sholana, don't worry.
Just take your time and think about it"
"We're here! " Jenner said as she stepped on the breaks.
The atmosphere in the car was heavy and suffocating.
She had already decided that she would drive to Shola's house first.
Ella was already asleep, Shola carried her in her arms and walked towards the house
She didn't dare to look back, She didn't want to see his face or else she might not even think anything through.
He said she should take her time.....ok, she was going to think but deep down she already accepted that she.....she was definitely going to end up with him again.

Jenner felt sad for Nathan as she watched Shola walk away without saying a word but she was shocked when she saw Nathan smiling like an idiot.
"Why...what's up with that smile huh?" Jenner asked turning her attention to him
Nathan looked at Jenner still smiling
"Get prepared we are going back to China tomorrow morning" Nathan said, he stared at Shola's house for a while before heading in to the car
"But.....why so soon?" Jenner was now confused, the guy was asking for forgiveness just a few minutes ago but now he's leaving the country?
"It is already obvious that...Sholana and I are going to go back to the way things are, she can't really stay mad at me for ever"
"And how can you be so sure?, she didn't even say a word before leaving" Jenner said rolling her eyes at the man's newly found confidence.
"Did you see her eyes?, never mind. Someone with your type of brain wouldn't understand anyways.
Just inform butler Stan that 'WE' would be coming home very soon"
"My type of brain.....hmph!" Jenner angrily started the car and drove off.

Shola stared at the car till it was out of sight.
She sighed softly as she closed the curtains.
She was scared of going back, from the past she tried so hard to move on from. She was scared of the troubles she was going to face when she goes back but...She wasn't going to let her happiness slip away without a fight.
If she had to lock that Old Madam in a room and tie her up tightly, she would do it just to protect her daughter because this time
She was going to fight for her self, so many people made sacrifices for her 4years ago. She wasn't ready to let them down

"Nathan.....shouldn't we inform Shola that we are already leaving?" They were already on the private plane, Nathan just sat there doing God knows what with his phone
he still had on that stupid smile from yesterday
"I already did" Nathan said as he put down his phone, he noticed the shocked expression on Jenner's face and followed her lone of sight.
He had informed Shola the night before about their journey, he wasn't totally confident but he tried.
He was also surprised to see Sholana there but of course he wouldn't show it
"You're here" He said like he was sure she was going to be there
Sholana nodded while Ella ran into Nathan's arms.
Nathan's smile grew wider as he hugged her.
He saw Shola sitting down with a complicated look on her face and couldn't help but wonder when he could hold her like this again.
"Did you miss me?"
"Don't be silly daddy, I saw you yesterday" Ella said with bright eyes, the atmosphere in the plane was stuffy before but now, hearing Ella's melodious voice the awkwardness was no longer there.
After chatting with Jenner for a while, Shola felt exhaustion kick in. She had stayed up the whole night thinking, now she felt like sacrificing her sleep wasn't really worth it i mean.....she's on the freaking plane!
Nathan was slowly forgotten while Jenner was busy answering all of Ella's questions.
Nathan noticed that Shola had already fallen asleep and he took a comforter and used it to cover her gently.
He stared at her sleeping face, he was happy, she was finally coming back to him but he was also guilty for everything he had made her go through
"You must hate me alot" He said sadly as he pushed back the locks of hair on her face.
He sighed, getting up to leave but he felt her fingers around his
She pulled him down and he fell on top of her, her once closed eyes now as bright as daylight
"You made me promise, you made me promise not to hate you. Remember?".
Nathan nodded softly, and smiled
"Thank you for keeping your promise" He said before planting a kiss on her lips.
Shola wasn't satisfied with just a peck, she hadn't been this close to him for four years!
She pulled his neck closer to her and deepened the kiss, she unknowingly let out a sigh
