Shola went to sleep on the same bed she woke up on that morning, Nathan felt that staying in the same room would be too awkward so he decided too sleep in one of the guest rooms.
Shola tossed and turned before she fell asleep, her eyes opened to a familiar surrounding, it was her parent's house.
When her parents walked up to her with worried looks on their faces asking her how she was, it was then she realized what was going on.
This was a memory, after she slipped and fell this was what happened the next day, when she was about to say something the scene soon changed to a dark room,
it had a light bulb on the ceiling making it a little brighter.
"little girl, I should show you what being a woman is all about" Shola didn't know why but when she heard that voice it was like her whole body was telling her to go far away, to run as fast as she could.
"Come on, Sugar!" The man stood under the light bulb and his face was more visible.
Shola jolted in shock as she saw how badly his face was disfigured, the wounds on his face was still fresh scaring her greatly,
the man started laughing like a maniac coming closer to Shola who stood in place frozen in fear.
"Are you scared?, Why should you be?.....you did this!"
Shola's eyes immediately opened, her clothes were soaked in sweat and her breathing was a mess,
she suddenly started sobbing, it felt like she had went through something her mind had wanted to forget.
She couldn't stop her sobs from getting louder and her tears from flowing.
"Shola?, what's wrong are you hurt?"
Nathan heard her voice from the next room and rushed there immediately, he tried to come close to her and give her a hug but she immediately pushed him away.
"Don't touch me! Go away!" she said in-between sobs.
Nathan was adamant to listen and went closer to her and hugged her, despite her struggles she wasn't strong enough to push him away
but soon she stopped struggling as she felt safer in his arms, her emotions calmed down as Nathan comforted her.
The warmth she was feeling made her to fall asleep again.
Nathan noticed that she had calmed down, he heard her steady breathing and knew she had fallen asleep.
He gently placed her properly on the bed and reached his hand for the blanket but he couldn't move, her hands were clutching his shirt tightly not letting go.
He tried to loosen her grip but failed instead, she yanked the shirt harder and he ended up on the bed as well, right next to her.
"So warm…" Shola purred as she wrapped her hand around his waist and buried her face in his chest.
Nathan's whole body tensed up at her sudden actions, 6months he had been controlling himself. Even when she finally warmed up to him she didn't let him touch her and now she was....
Nathan gulped hard and tried to pull her hand away but it only made her hug him tighter.
"Bad pillow...ssstay sstill"
"….." ????????.
Nathan took deep breaths and calmed his self down. He kept thinking of random things to distract himself and before he knew it, he fell asleep….beside her!, both of them beside each other! ????
(A/N: There is definitely going to be drama the next morning ????????)
Shola woke up feeling cold, her source of warmth just pulled away and she got pissed, she groaned as she pulled the 'blanket' back to her side.
' Why does it feel like this blanket has abs? ' In her drowsy state she kept feeling the 'blanket's' abs.
Meanwhile. .... Nathan realized he woke up next to Shola and decided to leave the bed slowly,
his eyes widened in shock when she pulled him back and then started touching his stomach, but soon her hand began to go lower to places it shouldn't
" Sholana!" Nathan couldn't take it anymore, he quickly sat up getting ready to leave.
Shola who was busy finding out the shape of her blanket suddenly opened her eyes after hearing her name.
She stared at Nathan with wide eyes "You…how did you end up here?!!" she quickly got up and pointed a finger at him
Nathan was tongue tied as he stared her, Shola noticed how the tip of his ears had turned red,
she then recalled the events that happened the night before and burst out laughing.
"I mistook you for a pillow last night, sorry" She smiled at the man who still wasn't saying anything
"Thanks for comforting me last night" Shola said. Remembering her nightmare again she couldn't help but shiver, she really hope that it wasn't a memory.
"It was nothing" Nathan said as he breathed a sigh of relief, he was glad she didn't misunderstand.
This wife of his had really changed, he couldn't help but wonder if this is what she was like as a teenager then what changed her?, what made her that quiet and cold woman he knew?.....
"Mr. Handsome, where has your mind flown to?"
Nathan was brought back from his thoughts by the smiling girl in front of him.
"I'll be leaving for work today, I already called butler Stan and the maids back last night so, if there's anything you need ask them, or call me, ok?"
Shola stared at the man with sparkling eyes, she really hit the jackpot her hubby was so thoughtful, she smiled sweetly at him and nodded "ok, take care Mr. Handsome"
Nathan for the first time realized, he was really getting used to that nickname now, he smiled at her and quickly left the room.
He was beginning to prefer this new version of his wife than the old one.
