The Green Breeze Village was a village located in a remote area of the Black Phoenix Empire. The residence of the village live their life in peace. Their common work was fishing and farming, they trade their product to a merchant that will visit their village every two weeks. Right now the village that consists of over 200 people was celebrating. The torches were lit and everyone was cheering. Children run around the streets while their parents followed behind.
"Little Qian, you must protect Wen-wen in your journey. You must know that with her beauty, many men will fight for her." an elderly man said to a young man.
"Elder Ma don't worry, I will definitely protect Wen-wen in any danger. I won't let any man approach her. Isn't that right Wen-wen" the young man patted his chest and said firmly. Beside him was a beautiful young girl with gentle and pure beauty.
The young man was Situ Qian and the young woman was Murong Wen. The two were childhood friends and grew up together. Their friendship grew deep on each day that passed. Some villagers even thought that they were in love with each other. Well, Situ Qian was in love with Wen-wen, everyday he will visit her home using different excuses just to see and be with her. Wen-wen on the other hand treats him like her big brother. Whenever she was lonely when her parents were away doing their jobs, she will always go to her big brother Qian and play with him.
Situ Qian had a mediocre talent in cultivation as he become a Beginner Fighter in the age of 18. Murong Wen was a genius in cultivation as she managed to become a Apprentice Mage at the age of 17. The two were the geniuses of their small village. The villagers put their hopes into the two by saving up money for their travel today. They hope that the will be able to enter a sect and make a name for themselves. If that happen the two will be able to make their small village famous in the area.
"Mother, Father your daughter will be gone for a while, but I promise when I return I will bring pride to our family. You both must take care of your health and don't overwork yourselves" Wen-wen with tears on her eyes said to her parents.
"Little Wen, don't worry about us and just focus on your journey." her mother said as she hug her daughter tightly.

"You two should now go, it is already noon make sure to make a camp in a safe place. If you ever encounter bandits in your way, make sure to escape immediately" an old man with hair full of white hair and was holding a stick.
"Mother, Father and everyone we will now go. I promise you guys when we return we are already a powerful cultivators" Situ Qian said with a wide smile on his face.
The two now leave their village in tears, the villagers continue to wave their hands in goodbye until they disappear from their vision. They were all hoping for their safe and glorious return. But what they don't know was a tragedy was waiting on the two in their destination.

As days and weeks passed by, the two was already on their way to their true destination. The capital of the Black Phoenix Empire. They were now part of a caravan going to the capital, in the past days the caravan had already encountered two bandit attacks and some of their people already died fighting against the bandits.
The knowledge they have about the capital and the Great Families residing there was very little. The only news that reach their village was about the strong emperor and the mysterious Duke Bai. There are rumors about their fight in the past when the Young Duke Bai suddenly arrived at the capital alone carrying only his sword. With his swordsmanship he defeated many proud geniuses of the empire creating a name for himself. One of the proud genius was the current emperor, their battle only lasted a minute before ending with the emperor losing miserably. Because of this event, the now Duke Bai immediately rise to the ranks.
Years later when the former emperor died from his illness and the current emperor being crowned, the emperor made a bet with Duke Bai. He request a duel against Duke Bai, which the latter accepted instantly. The emperor said that if ever Duke Bai defeat him, he will raise his rank and give him a title. Duke Bai then bet his precious sword, that peerless sword of his that in each wave, lives will be instantly lost. The two battle in an unknown location, they were only gone for almost an hour before returning.
The whole capital and the empire was so shocked when they return. Duke Bai was standing straight like a sword emitting a boundless sharp aura, while behind his back the unconscious emperor. Severed wounds covered the emperor's body as he bath on his own blood. Doctors were immediately summoned and tend to the unconscious emperor. There were people and officials of the palace that request for the execution of Duke Bai. But for some unknown reasons, those people and their families just disappear one night never seeing again. When the emperor regain his consciousness he stay true to his words and give what Duke Bai deserves.
After that event, everyone in the capital knows Duke Bai and the power he possessed. The only thing they don't know was, where did he come from and why did he come here in their empire.
"He he he, you two must be travelling right? I'll tell you this, the capital is not a paradise, it was hell. Arrogant and powerful people roam around like flies, those who have a powerful backing do whatever they want without worried. But the most notorious was the third young master of the Bai Family, Bai Shen." a thin man wearing loose clothing said to them while holding a bottle of drink.
"Why is he the most notorious?" Wen-wen said with curiosity in her big eyes.
"He is the known 'Number One Trash' in the whole capital maybe even the whole empire. Using his bodyguards and the abusing the power of his father and brothers, he was constantly harassing anyone even arrogant young masters in the capital. He was an untouchable existence that will do everything for his own comfort." the man then looks at Wen-wen and said while shaking his small head, "Looking at you, you really are beautiful. Being beautiful was a blessing and also a curse, you two must be planning to enter the capital right? I suggest the lady here cover her face as it can bring disaster upon the two of you. If the third young master of the Bai Family see your beauty, your outcome will definitely terrible"
The man leave the two after giving some advice. He was already feeling pity towards this young girl he just met. He just pray that they will never encounter 'those' people.
As the caravan moves, it continues and finally enters the capital. Qian and Wen part ways with the group and find a cheap Inn for them to stay. Heeding the advice of the man, Wen-wen covered her face and walk hand in hand with Qian until they find an Inn.
"Big brother Qian, should I always wear this hood to cover my face. It really feels uncomfortable wearing this all the time" Wen-wen said to Qian while pouting her cheeks.
