“Sir, aren’t you a second lieutenant yourself?” Kyle looked at the stiff-faced Joseph Kingsley and finally understood why he was unhappy.
“Be happy now! You don’t have to call me Sir anymore.” Joseph Kingsley grit his teeth in frustration. He’d taught this man just two weeks ago, but now he was his equal in the blink of an eye!

Joseph Kingsley complained like a nagging woman. “It took me ten years to climb to the rank of second lieutenant… yet it took you ten days to beat me.”

“You just achieved a rare opportunity that comes just once in a hundred years,” Joseph sighed and answered. “We’re in the middle of a world war. The country needs to set an example and motivate the youngsters to join the military and increase the morale You just happened to be the one to take initiative, so the rank of second lieutenant was given to you.”
Joseph paused and spoke with a smile, “You’re not like Captain America. You’re a hero who won with real strength, not through false propaganda, singing and dancing!”

“Yes, it is.” Joseph pulled out a copy of the New York Daily from his pocket and spoke angrily, “The boy’s physique did change dramatically after the Super Soldier Experiment’s success. But instead of going to war, he made military propaganda movies with those politicians everyday. He sings and dances to raise money for anti-debt coupons, all just to raise his reputation as the Captain of the United States.”
Kyle quickly took over the newspaper. Lucy helped him spread it out as they both gazed at the contents.
Right on the front page of the newspaper was a large black and white photo of a tall and strong youth in blue and white striped tights.
‘Buy an extra E-series bond and the soldiers on the battlefield will have one more bullet!’
‘Are you strong and brave enough to save America from trouble? Hurry up and answer the call of Captain America and join us in the battle!’
Slogans like this were printed in bold as the headlines of the newspaper.
“It’s really Steve…” Kyle smiled faintly as he remembered his past with the tall young man in the newspaper.
