It was 4 AM in the morning, Ryth was doing his usual daily routine; change bandages and a quick workout. Once he was done, he swiftly changed his clothes.

Lady Elsa and Llyod had returned to Griefendell yesterday, soon after the meeting.

When Ryth walked out from his tent, Hill was standing outside, together with Azalea. "Good morning, Hill, Azalea," he greeted.

"Good morning, Ryth," the two of them said as Azalea sweetly smiled.

"So, how's the preparation for the raid team?" Ryth asked.

"Everything has gone smoothly, according to plan," Azalea answered. "We're ready to go when the time comes."

Ryth nodded. "What about Lady Elsa's team? Any news from them?" he further asked.

"We've just received reports from them. They're ready whenever you are, Ryth."

Ryth nodded again. "That's good." He then paused before continuing, "Alright, let's have our breakfast."

----

After breakfast, Ryth asked Azalea whether she could help him with his training. He wanted to level up his {Wind Pressure} and {Water Ball} magic skills by chanting it continuously.

The other elves were busy with their own business, while Hill was in discussion with Woodgard and Tregnar. As for Skye? It was sleeping on top of Ryth's head the whole time.

Ryth was casting {Wind Pressure}, focusing on a rock as his target. Of course, he had to lower its strength as to not make any noise. His purpose was only to improve his proficiency, rather than its powers. As he was casting, he suddenly said, "We will execute the plan at 9 PM tonight." he then paused and turned his gaze towards Azalea, "You seem calm."

Azalea leaned back against the wall of the cave as she looked up at the ceiling. "Well, yes. I keep telling myself to keep calm because this is not the time for error. I must win this battle. Just worrying about it won't help me win," she replied.

Ryth gave her a small smile, proud to hear her soft but determined voice. "That's a good motivation, Azalea," he complimented. He then drew out [Vengeance] from the sheath and cast {Cut}, while at the same time, cast {Wind Pressure}, swinging it.

"WOOSH!"

A crack appeared on the cave's soil, ceiling, and wall. Ryth took a deep breath as he sheathed back [Vengeance]. He then walked towards Azalea and stood beside her, "What field is your uncle proficient in?"

"He's a mage, a very skilled mage," Azalea answered, crossing her arms across her chest. "He has this powerful staff, made from a special creature material, called [Staff of Despair]. It has a dark green gem on its tip. It's a drop from Gargoyle of Despair."

Ryth suddenly became interested. Back in 'The Throne', [Staff of Despair] was dropped from the gargoyle too. His friend had it, but because it was a type of cursed mythical weapon, he rarely use it in battles. "Hmm... He must be really strong to be able to use it. It would be really hard to defeat him."

"Mhm."

"Rawr!" Skye unexpectedly woke up, growling at Azalea. It then tapped Ryth's head and then tapped its own head.

Azalea was surprised at Skye's growl that she became silent. She then burst out into laughter. "Hahaha, are you saying that I have Ryth and you, Skye?"

Skye nodded its head vigorously, it also pointed towards where Hill and the other elves were, "Rawr!"

"Mhm, I know. I believe in everyone's strength."

Woodgard was in deep discussion with the other assassins. He spread open the prison map that he had made after successfully infiltrate it last time. "Alright, we will enter from the same place as before. We'll open the gate for Tregnar's team and free the prisoners inside. We'll need to make a ruckus to distract General Ranghyl's attention. This will help Miss Azalea and her team's mission be easy."

All of the assassins nodded their heads. "Yes sir!" they said, in unison. They have already memorized the map in their head. They were confident that there will be no mistakes.

"Right!" Woodgard said. "We need this to be a success! It will be a shame to our honour if we made even a single mistake against those undisciplined soldiers."

"Yes sir! We shall bring honour and pride for our team!"

--------

The evening was getting near as the sun slowly settled down in the horizon. On top of a big tree, sentries outside the base was watching the sunset. The atmosphere was intense and brimming with excitement. The upcoming battle was getting close and tonight, they will have to fight with all of their strength. They need to put down Wildan and his tyranny.

The commanders were also tensed, as they waited for the battle to start. Even Lady Elsa, who usually wore a gentle smile on her face, was feeling the tension.

Two of the sentries, Gyldorr and Katyr, were feeling anxious as they waited for the signal to start. They were chatting in low voices, trying to relieve their boredom. The base camp where they were at were usually an area where people hardly comes.

"Do you think the plan will work?" Gyldorr asked Katyr as he watched the sunset.

Katyr sighed as he shook his head. "I'm not sure. I believed that this is not as simple as it looks. Those people might have something under their sleeves that we don't know. But Mr. Myrad and the others might probably know about this."

"Hmm…" Gyldorr mumurred, not surprised with Katyr's answer. "Probably," he said. "Mr. Myrad seems like someone who knows a lot, despite his young age. He also seems like a skilled swordman. Recently, I've noticed that he has been using a bow as well. He's probably skilled in that too. I heard Mr. Hill used to be his trainer, teaching him how to use the bow and all."

Katyr nodded as he wiped his dagger with his cloth. "And now, I've seen him learning how to use magic, as well, from Miss Azalea. Demn. He's like a monster. I'm glad that he's on our side."

Gyldorr let out a soft chuckle. "I agree. I wouldn't want to make an enemy out of a monster like him," he said. He paused for a bit before continuing, "I'm surprised, though. Heard that he's actually a noble and a human. But I don't see any arrogance from him. It's like he respect us as if we're the same race."

Katyr nodded in agreement. "Yeah. I thought it was all an act just to get our favour." He twirled his dagger around, examining it. He then smiled at Gyldorr, "But these past few weeks, after getting to know him, he isn't like those other humans at all. His thinking is quite different from them."

"Agreed." Gyldorr nodded his head.

The sun has finally set and the moon was slowly showing its appearance against the darkening sky. It was a chilly night where only the sounds of the crows can be heard. But other than that, it was silent.

A shadow suddenly appeared on a tree branch near them. "Hey Katyr, Gyldorr. Here's your dinner."

Katyr turned his head and said, "Ah! Yes, sir! Thank you, sir!" Katyr said, bowing his head.

The shadow handed them their dinners and quickly disappeared as soon as it came.

"Thank you again, Sir Woodgard," the two sentries said.

The shadow, which was Woodgard, smoothly disappeared into the darkness. He gave a quick glance at a certain area and said, "Let's go."

"WUSH!" a soft wind breezed by the two sentries as they felt something had flown past by them. "They are probably getting ready into position," Gyldorr commented. "Once we're done with our dinner, we should go, as well."

Katyr nodded. "Yes, we should."

-------

"All set?"

"Yes, sir!"

"Good," Tregnar nodded as he turned towards Azalea, Ryth, and Hill. "Now, then. I wish you good luck."

"Thank you. You too." Azalea said, returning the nod. She turned towards Ryth and Hill. "Let's go."

"Rawr!"

-------

Woodgard was running with {Stealth} skill on, leading the other assassins. With Woodgard, there were 6 people in the team.

When they finally arrived at the cliff, where they will sneak into the prison, Woodgard turned to the team, his face covered with a mask and black hood. "Everyone understand what they need to do?"

All of the assassins nodded their heads.

"Good..." Woodgard took out his rope and said in a low voice, "Operation begins."
