It was only now that Sky understand how the world worked, he might be immortal but he still could not beat this single, level one monster.
He truly understood now, strength was the only thing that mattered. If he had enough strength he would not be so helpless now.
Sky was thinking of a way to escape now, he had no intentions to battle a level one monster. If he was alone he would have tried fighting it, but now he had Carnage and Mey to take care of.
Once he lost, this wolf would surely kill both of them. So he put all his hope on escaping.
He slowly pulled Carnage behind him and ordered, "take Mey and fly away from here."
But Carnage shook her head, "Without you, I am not leaving." She said firmly.
For the first time in his six year life, Sky felt angry for the words which warmed his heart. He was happy that she chose to stay in this crisis but he was angry that she did not listen to him.
"I am immortal, you don't need to care about me!" He said harshly.
Carnage just shook her head again, she did not believe anything like immortality and Sky had never shown it before. She thought he was just persuading her to leave, so she refused to listen.
Sky was so angry at her that he gnashed his teeth. If this was a normal time, he would have already spanked her ass. But now there was huge wolf before him pouring cold water on his flaring anger.
"I am a human protected by the higher beasts. This wolf won't dare attack me. Now hurry and take Mey away." As his immortality had no effect on Carnage, he tried to use the higher level monsters for persuading her to leave.
Carnage looked hesitant after hearing about the higher level monsters but she finally shook her head. She did not want to place Sky's life on the possibility of higher monsters.
If this wolf king just kills everyone here, he would be able to hide the fact that he killed a human. She did not want sacrifice Sky's life for nothing.
Seeing her shaking her head, Sky knew he could not hope to persuade her, all the anger he felt by not being able to persuade her was pushed towards the wolf king.
Looking at Sky's eyes and feeling his killing intent towards it, the wolf king laughed. A puny human dared to think of killing him.
He opened his mouth and howled at Sky's face to show his superiority. Sky felt his ears ringing and the world turning black when the wolf howled on his face.
He knew he was going to lose his consciousness if this carried on, he slowly lifted his small hands and placed them over his ears.
By the time the wolf king finished Sky was already on his knees, Carnage who was carrying Mey was already knocked unconscious in the middle of the howl.
"Human! Leave both the harpies here and go away, I will spare your life this one time!" The wolf king roared these words.
But Sky shook his head bitterly, he does not need to flee. Nobody can kill him in this world as long as he has his left arm.
His arm could save his body as many times as it gets destroyed, but it can't save his heart. Right now, Sky was feeling the epitome of sadness.
Tears fell to the ground as he imagined Mey and Carnage dying. He was broken even before the reality happened.
But the wolf did not know his thoughts. It only saw him shaking his head, "Human! There is no need to be like this. Harpies only had females, so how do they reproduce."
"They use the males from the other races. And all I want to do is play with them for a while. You can take it as us reproducing. I won't kill them! I would just have them accompany me to the bed for a month."
He won't kill them, but torture them. That's what the wolf was saying indirectly, Sky's anger rose like a forest fire. His weak body suddenly felt a wave of pure energy from his left hand which let him overcome his weakness.

The wolf king who thought Sky was saying his final words before leaving the place, was surprised that Sky took out a knife and pointed at him.
He laughed coldly, "Fine! I shall kill a puny human like you! I will just kill everyone else to cover it up. I can still find new wolves to rule."
Wolf king started walking around Sky, he felt danger from the dagger in Sky's hand and this was the reason he was being so cautious. If not he would just charged and bit Sky to his death.
Sky charged at the wolf as he saw the wolf moving In a round way and getting close to Carnage.
The wolf raised its paw and swiped, Sky attacked the paw with his black knife. The result shocked both of them.
The massive strength from the wolf's paw almost disjointed his right shoulder while the black knife cut off a finger from the wolf's front paw.
"Fuck you! What kind of weapon is that?" The wolf roared in pain.
"The kind that would take your life." Sky answered, his face cold.
He did not give the wolf a chance to adjust to the pain and attacked again, the wolf being smart avoided his attack and jumped back.
It stared at the black knife with hatred. And it also became more warier towards Sky.
Sky did not continue, he knew the wolf would come to him, so he waited.
On the other side of the battle, the harpies from the hunting team have already been taken care by the remaining wolves and they looked at Sky without moving.
Since their king was fighting now, they would not interfere until their king orders them to.
Sky felt his heart sinking with every passing second. He felt it possible to take on at least five wolves with his arm while protecting Carnage and Mey.
But more than that, he would not be able to handle.
He was still a kid, he did not know the perfect solution to this situation, all he could do was guard both of them to the best of his abilities.
As he was keeping his eyes on the other wolves, the wolf king charged at him and bit his right shoulder.
It all happened so fast that he could not even react. He screamed in pain but the audience looked at him coldly, these wolves did not feel any pity for him.
He threw the knife to his left hand wanting to slash the wolf's head, the wolf king noticed this and immediately shifted his target.
He released the right shoulder and bit off Sky's whole left hand which was holding the black dagger.
It then swallowed the whole hand. It looked at the handicapped Sky with a desire to eat him.
But Sky had a smile on his face which confused the wolf king very much, did he lose his mind on the brink of death, it thought seeing his smile.
Sky then put his right hand weakly towards his mouth, he slowly pulled out his tongue and held it out.
He then viciously bit his tongue off with a smile.
At the same time as Sky bit his tongue off Mey who was unconscious until now woke up. She saw Sky biting his tongue off with a smile and her heart broke in that second.
"Nooo!..." she screamed in pain, gaining the attention from the wolves, but none of them moved towards her because the wolf king was present.
"No! No...! You can't die!" Mey rushed towards Sky's dead body, but she was still weak and tripped down. She crawled her way towards him, it was unsightly but she did it anyway.
She took his dead body into her arms and cried. The wolf king amazingly kept quiet and did not disturb her.
Half an hour passed, but none of them moved, the wolf king was quiet so none of the wolves moved.
But Mey noticed the strange scene after her emotions cooled down, she was still sad but no to the point that it clouded her judgement.
She looked towards the wolf king, and suddenly felt its body move, she closed her eyes waiting for her death but it never came.
She opened her eyes slowly to find the wolf king fallen to his right side, and on the left side, a hand holding black dagger could be seen.
Then slowly the wolf king's whole left side which was facing the sky now, was cut down from inside and a human holding black knife rose up.
Mey and the wolves saw a naked boy who looked about twelve covered in blood and the intestines of the wolf king.
As soon as he rose up, he started cursing, "Damn this wolf! How tough is its stomach, it took me a whole half an hour to cut it open."
He then looked at Mey and smiled, but noticing the wolves around them, his face turned serious.
He slowly walked towards Mey under the dumbfounded gazes of the wolves and said in a low voice, "There is no time to explain now. Take Carnage and fly away while the wolves are still in a state of confusion, I will stay back and stop them from pursuing you."
Mey wanted to refuse initially thinking he was putting his life on line again for them.
But when she heard his next words she immediately left carrying Carnage.
Sky smiled as he saw Mey and Carnage leave. He was happy because Mey listened to him. All he said was "believe me." And Mey really believed him.
Finally coming out of daze the wolves howled at Mey and Carnage as they flew away.
"What're are you barking at, you dumb beasts? Come! Daddy here is in a good mood today."
A naked human roared towards the sky as he charged towards a group of wolves with a black knife and a immortal arm.
It was bloody battle.
The winner was decided long ago.
