As Sky was fighting with the remaining wolves Mey was flying in a random direction carrying Carnage.
Only after seeing that none of the wolves were chasing after her did she slow down and look at her surroundings, she found these surroundings unfamiliar but she did not panic.
She calmly analysed the wind and found the direction to their colony, she moved slowly as she was carrying Carnage along with her.
Whoosh!
Out of the trees, a huge net flew out suddenly and captured her and Carnage.
With the net around her, Mey lost her ability to fly, and as she was about to fall, Mey hugged Carnage as she turned around to make her back face the ground.
Mey fell to the ground with her back, Carnage was above her and did not suffer any damage from the fall, but Mey suffered a huger blow from the fall for saving Carnage.
Her back ribs were broken and her wing bones fractured, she would never be able to fly like before because of her fractured bones.
But she was not in the mood to think about her future. She was more concerned about her present. If there was a net there was sure to be a owner for it.
So she thought of the best actions to escape from these hunters, the only problem was that the net was too hard to rip open. It was made with caution and had few flaws to exploit.
As Mey was trying to free herself from the net, a goblin made its way to the net and saw Mey and Carnage caught in it.
"Ha haa!, we got the sacrifice right on time this year! Hah! A full year of prosperity will be upon us if we sacrifice a harpy." It shouted in excitement.
Hearing that this trap was laid out to capture a sacrifice, Mey's heart sank. Sacrifice to the Gods was a common ritual performed by all races every year.
She knew of the fate of a captured sacrifice and it was not a pleasant one.
The sacrifice would first be fed with a lot of nutritious food then would be killed in front of their race's God.
They would be strictly guarded since the requirements for a sacrifice were very strict. The number that can qualify as a sacrifice was lesser than the number of humans still alive.
First, one must be a pure young virgin to qualify as a sacrifice, next she must be healthy. The best sacrifice was to find a healthy virgin human girl.
Humans were the best source of power to the higher monsters and their Gods had always loved human sacrifices.
This is the reason sacrifices were fed with the best of food before they were killed.
What Mey feared now was that these goblins would choose Carnage as their sacrifice and take Carnage away.
It was known that the whole race has to abstain from eating any meat before performing the sacrificial ritual to present the sacrifice to their god.
So she did not fear her getting eaten by the goblins after they chose Carnage as the sacrifice. Now she was more scared of not being chosen as the sacrifice. If given a choice she wanted to be the sacrifice so that Carnage can leave.
But the reality was cruel to her, the goblin had already noticed that her ribs were broken and she could not be used as a sacrifice.
He cut the net off them, but Mey was too weak to move. He then whistled in low pitch. After half a minute passed, another goblin showed up on the scene.
One of after another appeared and soon there were a dozen of them. All of them shook their heads seeing the injury to Mey. It was obvious she could not be used as a sacrifice.
But Carnage was different, she looked unharmed and looked like a kid, it was obvious that she was a kid who just started ageing, and from the looks of it she was still a virgin.
The first goblin tried to pull Carnage out of Mey's embrace, but found he was unable to, angry at Mey's stubbornness, he slapped her.
But Mey did not loosen her hold on Carnage. He slapped her again, and again until her eyes turned black and her cheeks bled.
Only after losing her whole strength did the goblin manage to pull Carnage away from her.
This disturbance finally woke Carnage up, and as she got up her eyes seemed muddled.
Seeing her getting up the group of goblins hurriedly pinned her down and bind her with ropes.
Carnage finally noticed the situation and tried to struggle but it was futile, the ropes were too strong for her without her black knife.
As he saw Carnage struggling with the ropes, the first goblin suddenly smiled, he then looked towards other goblins and asked, "Friends why don't we break this little girl's mind?"
The goblins were shocked, and one of them could not help but scold this first goblin, "No harm must be done to the sacrifice! Have you forgotten that?"
The first goblin smiled shamelessly, "who said I would attack the young girl, there are more ways to break her mind." He said as he looked towards Mey with lust.
Seeing his gaze towards Mey, all the goblins understood his intentions. Seeing the other goblins not opposing him, he continued.
" think about it, once we break her mind she would become a puppet who would listen to everything we say. This way we would achieve two birds with one stone."
The other goblins were reluctant at first but after he promised that he would not eat any meat from Mey after raping her, they nodded their heads.
Mey and Carnage's body shook hard when they heard what the goblins were discussing.
Finally the first goblin made his way towards the defenceless girl, making Mey fall into despair.
This goblin wanted to **** Mey in front of Carnage and break her mind through it. He would show that this will be her situation if she doesn't listen to them.
This would break the young harpy's heart for sure and make her a living puppet who would listen to all their demands.
But before the goblin got closer, Mey's right hand which has lost all the strength in it raised high in air and passed through her throat.
She killed herself to avoid being violated by the goblins, she moved her hand with sheer willpower and ended her own life.
"Noooo!..." Carnage cried as she saw Mey losing life rapidly, she tried to break away from the ropes once more, but it was still useless.
She felt so sad that her mind made her lose consciousness so that she can stabilise and not go mad. This was one of the instincts of the mind.
The goblins were dumbfounded and a little scared seeing Mey's actions, the first goblin fell down on his legs and peed. He was so sacred that he forgot to breathe until he chocked.
But the goblins eventually calmed down and took away the unconscious Carnage away.

A naked young man carrying a black knife as he slashed at wolves without a care for his life suddenly felt his heart gripped by fear.
This fear almost chocked him, making him a easy target to hundreds of wolves. It was only because of his immortal arm, he stayed alive.
As he felt his fear, he looked in the direction of Mey's dead body, tears flowed unconsciously from his eyes.
