Eating the tender meat of the bird gave them a deep feeling of fulfillment. Good food and a place to rest after this world changed was a luxury that not many could afford.
After taking a shower, they soon fell deep asleep, despite the occasional gunshots and monster cries in the distance.

The second day, everyone woke up refreshed, as Ying Yue prepared a copious breakfast using as much bird meat as possible. It's soon gonna spoil, in the morning, they soon realized the water is not working anymore. The good part was that the energy still worked, but how long, they didn't know.
After the breakfast, all three of them packed daily necessities, including some of the bird meat for later and lots of mineral water.
Leaving the house, they started heading to Yon City on foot. They didn't dare of taking a car, since the noise it created would bring unwanted attention. Who knows what might be hiding on the streets?
Soon, as they walked, they spotted a small group of small midgets holding bludgeons.
"Goblins" said Wang Tao softly, in a calm tone
"Yeah, they're weak. Let's get rid of them and continue going. At this rate, we'll need about 4 hours of walking to reach the city. Ying Yue, you can kill them yourself, try out your new gun." continued old man Zhang pointing at them
Pulling out her new gun, Ying Yue aimed at one of the Goblins before pressing the trigger.
As soon as the bullet hit the goblin's green bald hair, it exploded just like a water melon. The other goblins were immediately startled and frightened as they started running in all directions.
Before she even shot another bullet, Wang Tao stopped her. If they attacked, he would have let her blow them all into splinters, but since they ran, why should she waste more bullets?
"It's so strong!" said Ying Yue in delight as she looked at the Gun
"Improved TypeD Basic Pistol - it deals 8-10 damage and the bullets explode on impact."
Wang Tao and Old man Zhang looked at her with a smile on their faces as she caressed the gun with a lovable smile, showing her dimples.
"Let's go!" said Wang Tao before moving on

After three hours of walking, they didn't encounter too many difficult situations. They met a few times groups of goblins, mutated rats or more weird-looking birds that just delivered themselves on a silver platter to be killed.
There was one time when a humongous Lizard that reached a size of 8 meters rose up from the ground just beside them, scaring them deeply, but it just continued walking on, ignoring them. As Wang Tao tried to look at it's informations, his answer was a panel full of ???.
"Damn..i'm still scared thinking such a big lizard exists" said Ying Yue with fear still lingering in her voice
"The world changed, there was a beast the size of one apartment in town where the gates fell, this is nothing. We need to get stronger, otherwise we're gonna be squashed to death just from it stepping on us like ants" responded old man Zhang, a little calmer than Ying Yue
"We will soon reach the Yon City, in about 30 minutes. Wait..what is that?" shocked, Wang Tao exclaimed
The other two's eyes immediately widened at the sight. The black hole in the sky was trembling slightly, before two arms stretched the hole wider as a lizard's head popped out with a roar. Slowly, a massive body just like a mountain came out!

Under the oppression of the beast's aura, uncontrollable barking came out of Fire's mouth as it jumped and fidgeted on the ground, with eyes full of fear.
"It's, it's, it's a dragon!!!" exclaimed Wang Tao shocked at the sight
Soon, the whole body of the beast came out of the black hole.

A long dragon's cry resounded in the air that could be killed from killometers away. With a flap of his wings, the dragon started flying in the direction Wang Tao and the others came from.
The dragon soon turned into a big dot in the skies as it disappeared.
The four of them stood rooted on the spot, looking at each other with terrified looks.
It was then that Fire's barking abruptly started again, before the ground suddenly started shaking uncontrollably. The three of them stayed in the same place as calm as possible to avoid a disaster as they looked that in the direction of Yon City, four massive silhouettes raised from the ground.
"More monsters?" asked Ying Yue terrified
"No..look closer, they look like..humans?" said Wang Tao with a wondering tone at his discovery
"Statues. They are statues, look." old man Zhang added from the side, much calmer than them
In that moment, an ancient voice could be heard in their heads. It was not only them, but the whole humanity heard the same words.
"Humans..you have forgotten your origins! You turned into pathetic beings, soft and weak like ants." the voice said with a tone of anger before it turned into a sobbing voice as it added "What has become of the human race, the race that once ruled the worlds? What have you done!!!" screamed the voice in agony, as almost every human felt a stabbing pain in their chest before their eyes teared up
"Get stronger..get stronger....and regain whats lost. Not enough time..not enough..."
Hearing the voice, the whole humanity took a shock straight in their hearts, as tears uncontrollably fell down from their eyes. The pain in their chests, the tears and the feeling of a loss was too great for them. It was just like the pain of losing a loved one, amplified by tens of times.
It took them a few minutes to gather their thoughts back, as they wiped their tears away, Ying Yue asked in disbelief "Have you heard that voice? What was going on?"
"We heard the voice..but we don't know who it was..or what it wanted to say. Humans, rulers of worlds? This is weird..humanity is only a few thousand years old, no other records exist regarding our origins..we haven't even stepped on other planets before, how did it turn out that we were rulers of worlds? There's just too many strange things happening, forget it, we will find out someday. Come, let's go to Yon City, this matter with the statues still puzzle me. Let's find out." said Wang Tao before he started moving forward, with the others following behind, each of them in their own thoughts
Finally, they arrived just a couple of hundreds of meters away from the city. Shockingly, as soon as they entered a thousand meters from the city, they had a sudden feeling like they stepped in another world.
Then, a notification was heard in their ears.
"Kill all the monsters in the city and open the altar in the middle of the city to allow Dimensional Merchants to come."
As soon as they heard the notification, all three of them readied their weapons.
Moving forward, soon, they stumbled upon a group of people in dire straits, fighting a group of Goblins.
The people were barely fighting them when they noticed newcomers coming, their eyes lit up in excitement. "Help us, please!" one of the people, holding a Sword in his hand loudly screamed before he beheaded a Goblin
There were 7 people in the group, 3 men, 2 women and 2 kids, most of them were holding knifes, swords and bludgeons.
This group of well armed people could easily stand up against a few goblins, but the problem was, more and more goblins were coming. If you counted, there would be over 50 Goblins surrounding them!
arghh!
One of the women screamed as she was hit on the thigh with a bludgeon by one goblin, before she fell on the floor!
"Mia!!!" screamed one of the man, hearing her pained voice
Just as another bludgeon was about to fall on her head, a gunshot rang out.
The bludgeon was just a few centimeters away from her face before it came to a standstill. The goblin's head exploded as a shower of green blood fell on the woman.
And then another Fireball landed on a goblin, before exploding it's chest into smithereens.
A rushing red silhouette could be seen as it jumped on a goblin before it ripped his head off.
As Wang Tao, old man Zhang and Ying Yue joined the fight, the ground was soon filled with the dead bodies of the Goblins.
After the last goblin died with a knife stuck into it's heart from Ying Yue, the 7 people finally breathed a sigh in relief.
Wounds and bruises covered their bodies as they wiped the sweat on their faces with their bloody hands.
"Thank you for your help. How should i address this younger brother?" asked the man who screamed earlier for help, easily figuring out that this young man is the leader of their small group.
"I'm Wang Tao, this is old man Zhang and she is Ying Yue. What happened? Why are there so many goblins?" answered Wang Tao before he extended his hand giving the man a handshake
The other two also curiously looked at the man. They have seen groups of goblins so far, but not on such a big scale! If so many grouped up against them, it would be hard to say if they'd be able to survive either!
"It's because of those Statues. Do you see them, in the middle of the city? By praying to the statues, one can gain a certain Class giving the user abilities. Many have tried to pray, but to no avail." eplained the man as he shaked his head
"Why is that so?" asked old man Zhang curiously
The man thought for a moment trying to find the right words to explain before he continued "I'm sure you have gotten a notification to kill all the monsters as well. The requirement of activating the Statues is by killing all the monsters in the city."
