Chapter 10: Let's Dance with the Hero Part 2

Quickly, The hero starts heading towards the old man. Just in front of his path, I have a human scissors trap placed.

I shall now activate human scissors! Thanks to the surprise factor, the hero was startled and unable to react fast enough.

"Wah! what is this?"

My trap has captured the hero successfully. Now I will use poison mist to make sure the hero is unable to move and further reduce his health.

<Human-eating plant> {HP:4000/4000, 1850/2000]

A small blue flower sprouted near the hero and began to spray it's colorless and odorless poison.

"Is this a demon's work?... Damn! this is not something I'm particularly good at! If only the thief Kate was here!"

The hero's health has been going down. Although he seems to have some resistance, his health is still being chipped away.

Without losing the opportunity, I decided to stack even more traps onto him.

----------Swoosh

I used my thorn cage skill to further restrict his movement.

Immediately after trapping the hero with those 3 skills, a display showed up on top of the hero, saying "Dynamic Combo!" and also saying "Damage x 2" Right after that.

This is the first time I've seen something like this. But thanks to it, it seems like the hero's health did decrease a lot faster. Perhaps [dynamic combo] means I have successfully stacked my traps on my enemy, rewarding me with more damage against my enemy?

This seems to be very useful... I'm glad I learned a new technique.

..............!

The hero is looking a little suspicious... He's starting to glow...

"----------[break]!"

As soon as the hero shouted, it seems like he activated a skill, destroying my human scissors and thorn cage.

"Status!...! I'm poisoned? is it perhaps a spray type?"

Next the hero started setting his battle axe. I wonder what he's about to do this time?

"[Refresh Mist!]"

The hero slammed his axe towards the ground, causing a crack to appear and something shiny to start gushing out.

I'm pretty sure it's because of that, the blue flowers that were spraying my poison all withered away, causing the poison mist to disappear.

"Haa...Ha. I took more damage than I thought I would... It must be due to the poison... I didn't want to use [break] but it was the right decision to sacrifice some of my health to escape."

While breathing heavily the hero faced the old man.

<Hero> [HP:(4500/7530)]

I managed to decrease the Hero's health by 3000. 2000 of that was from my traps, however after the hero destroyed them, he took an extra 1000 damage. It seems like the skill he used sacrifices some of his health to use the skill.

"Don't worry gramps! I'll save you right now!"

It seems like he won't give up on the old man. That's a hero for you. This is just a perfect opportunity for me to get in trapped again.

The hero stepped on other human scissors, activating it. It seems like you are able to sandwich opponents with this skill.

"Shit! [Break]!"

The hero sacrificed 1000 of his Health to destroy and escape from the trap. No way, you shouldn't just spend your health like that on mere traps...

"There' still more? It seems like there will be more ahead of me."

<Hero> (HP:3500/7530)

The hero gripped his axe tight and began to swing forward. I wonder what he is up to this time?...

"Blow Away! [Shock Team]!"

The hero his the ground with his battle-axe again. Unlike last time, this time it blew away al the weeds, making all the human scissors visible.

"So there's only this many..."

While avoiding the traps, the hero swiftly made his way towards the old man. Damn, he just rendered my traps useless!

It can't be helped...I guess I'll just have to have the hero taste despair. I'll first make the reverse mermaid swallow the old man whole.

"Not Yet!"

Instead of having to look of despair, the hero charged straight towards the reverse mermaid and cut his bellow open, allowing the old man to come out full of mucus.

Just how far is he willing to go and not give up?... is this why they call him a hero?

But even if he is a hero to others, he is still the man that happily fed me a bug and humiliate me.

If I was a real carnivorous plant, I might have died due to the unreasonable predation of that bug.

That is unforgivable.

"Are you alright gramps?"

"T, thank you"

"Here hold on!"

The hero lends the old man his shoulders, offering a piggyback.

The hero has not yet noticed that the old man isn't a real human, I still have a chance of eating the hero.

Although my traps have all been destroyed... I cannot let go of this opportunity.

If I let him escape, He will come back with ways of dealing with my traps. I absolutely cannot allow that to happen, No matter what I need to stop him...
