Chun Hwa’s New Life as Id 11

The Peira Mountains were filled with ginormous trees that blocked off even sunlight from reaching the ground. This didn’t mean that it was completely dark though, because there was some light pouring through from within the gaps. And, it wasn’t deserted, because the sound of birds could be heard. There was fluffy moss littered all over the ground, so it felt like he was walking on carpet, and because there was plenty of moisture within them, his feet were consistently wet.

Chun Hwa was grumbling at how he may have chosen the wrong location, as he was wandering around in the forest. He also felt troubled, because of all the unfamiliar trees and flowers around him. He had hoped to have returned back to his own country after he left the cave, but for some reason, it felt like he was getting further and further away from it.

Even with the sound of phlegm being spat some distance away, Chun Hwa felt indifferent. According to Greydrone’s knowledge, the sound was coming from monsters, but even that was something he had lost interest in. He had already known how absurd this world was through his fateful meeting of Greydrone. However, there was something about this forest that Chun Hwa did not know of.

This location was north of Arus-Han and was a dangerous place, known to be forbidden by humans. Even now, there were still sounds of monsters in the nearby vicinity, and this was the reason why it was a place that could not be lived in by humans. Although, for some people like swordsmen and adventurers, this was the forest’s charm, and was conveniently used as a training ground. Even now, there were several monsters hiding in secret, watching Chun Hwa’s every move.

They stared at themselves as they tilted their head. The person in front of them was a little strange. He/she was of average height, slender figure, and was a fresh, young human. Furthermore, the black hair that was tied together with a blue band, was long and smooth. It looked like a girl, but the smell was definitely that of a man’s.

For them, it was quite important to know if their prey was male or female. If it was a guy with a sword coming into the forest, he was most likely very confident with his skills. If they were to rashly attack, they may get their necks cut off like many of their brethren. Instead, if it was a female, she may have been thrown away, or may have lost her path within the forest.

Within his/her hand was a sword that was longer and thinner than a bastard sword, with a white handle and a scarlet red scabbard. But, what was the most interesting part about the human, was its clothing. It was something they had never seen near Arus-Han, or even within the Gressen Continent. Not knowing if the person in front of them was male or female, and seeing such a bizarre sword and clothing, the monsters did not like their prey. After concealing their bodies even more, they got together for a meeting and decided that they might get sick if they were to eat such a bizarre creature. Then, one of the monsters stated that it had seen a group of adventures with a female in the party not too far away, and that they should go towards that direction. As it finished its words, they quickly separated and disappeared.

“The trees here are much bigger than the ones in my county. With it being so gloomy, it feels like something might suddenly pop out.”

Looking around the forest as if it was his first time seeing trees, Chun Hwa stopped talking.

‘By the way, why am I suffering like this. To think that I must find the location of these gods in this unknown land. So unfair. What have I done wrong…..’

Chun Hwa felt stuffy in a certain part of his heart.

“First off, I guess I should figure out an objective, since I can’t just wander around aimlessly. However, thinking of how I need to find the gods, things just keep getting worse and worse.”

Chun Hwa figured that the wisest thing to do first was to leave this forest. As he began to move with a quicker pace, his lips did not stop grumbling.

“Where am I supposed to find the gods. If it’s a god, then the one that comes to mind is……Buddha? That’s right, a Buddhist temple. If I want to meet Buddha, I need to go to a Buddhist temple, so from here……If I go to a shrine, I should be able to meet a priest. That’s where I’ll go first.”

Finding an objective, Chun Hwa’s legs were filled with power as he advanced.

Rumble!

Chun Hwa’s strength filled legs stopped moving after a few steps. At a location about 30 steps to his right, sudden explosions of fire could be seen. And, the screaming voices that came after…….

“Squeal!”

“Squeal!”

Chun Hwa reflexively moved his feet towards the sound. He was happy and restless with the possibility of meeting other people, and Chun Hwa was soon able to hear the voices of other humans. The voices that were heard after the screams, were definitely human voices; although it seemed to be filled with anger.
