Chun Hwa’s New Life as Id 13

Illan, who was looking at Grey as if he was crazy, suddenly turned red as he heard Chun Hwa’s words.

“Ah, I, is that so? It’s my mistake. Huhu, what a surprise.”

Illan scratched his head feeling awkward, while Grey was laughing out loud. And, Chun Hwa stared at the both of them as if they were odd.

As Grey got hit in the head by the girl wearing the priest robe, he finally stopped laughing and continued to question Chun Hwa.

“I’m sorry for laughing. However, I hope you understand. People’s eyes get worse as they get older. Although I don’t know where you came from, it’s very dangerous for you to be in this forest. You were lucky enough to run into us, so be relieved. Above all, let me introduce myself. My name is Grey, and this is Hael, my childhood friend. And, this, keuk, is Illan. As you can see, he’s a mage, and the dwarf goes by the name of Reindelph. He’s Illan’s friend. Last but not least, the elf’s name is Irlina. We’re accompanying her, because of the monsters that are within this forest. Where are you from? It’s the first time I’m seeing such clothes.”

Grey stared at Chun Hwa more closely this time. The more he stared at him, the more he became confused. He would have also made a mistake like Illan, but he noticed that Chun Hwa didn’t have any chest to him. But, as he was still unsure, Illan spoke out and helped scratch the itching spot.

“What’s your name? We need to call you by something until we get out of this forest at least.”

Grey once again began to stare at Chun Hwa’s clothes.

He and Illan were both confused, because of how flatulent Chun Hwa’s clothes were.

Chun Hwa was also staring at Grey’s clothes. Compared to his big frame, the clothes were very tight to his figure, and it looked to be comfortable to move around in.

On the other hand, Chun Hwa was busy with trying to create a name for himself. Since he had to tell them a name, he felt that it would feel awkward for the others if he was to give them his real name.

As Chun Hwa thought for a little moment, he thought of a suitable name for himself. Thinking that it was a brilliant name, he was very content with it.

“Ah, my name is Id. These clothes are being worn, because I had no other options. What I was originally wearing, is completely torn apart.”

The name Id was pulled out from within Greydrone’s memories, so this was the limit.

“To think that you would come to this forest by yourself, you’ve set yourself up for a perilous path. For what reason are you passing by this area?”

Reindelph was staring at Id with suspicious eyes. As dwarves were inherently wary of everything, it felt like his eyes would be able to look through Id. However, not knowing the circumstances of this forest, Id was puzzled with Reindelph’s question.

“What do you mean it’s dangerous? What are you talking about?”

“You, you really don’t know? This forest is filled with monsters, so unless you’re an adventure, explorer, or a person coming to test your swordsmanship, nobody comes here. Of course, there may be people who occasionally appear for suicidal reasons, but for the most part, if you want to pass by this area, you need to come with a skilled party. Do you really not know anything about this forest?”

Thankfully, Illan was able to elaborate on the parts that Id had questions on. Although Illan quietly put out the fact that their party was skilled, Id didn’t really care for this info. He roughly made up a few stories, and chose the easiest story to follow through with.

“No, I didn’t know. I’m from a place that’s really far away…….from this place. Which is why I don’t know any of the geography or circumstances around this area. And, I came here because I lost track of the road I was walking on.”

“Is that so? It must be quite a secluded place.”

It seems like Id’s quick lie had some persuasive powers behind it. It seemed like everyone was convinced.

Thinking that things were looking bad for Id, Hael made a suggestion.

“Then stay with us until we get out of the forest. It’s much safer to be in a bigger party when you’re in this forest.”

“Mm, that would be for the best. Come with us. In any case, you’re going to have to leave this forest to get to town.”

Grey also wanted to stay together. Even if Id was to reject the offer, Grey was not planning on leaving him alone within the forest. Id nodded his head. As his name changed from Chun Hwa to Id and he was able to react with other people, he was happy.

Until they were out of the forest, Id continued to ask many questions in order to collect info.

“By the way, where’s everyone going?”

Almost all of Id’s questions were answered by Grey.

They quickly became friends as they continued to speak with each other.

“We don’t have a specific place chosen. In one way, we’re accompanying Irlina, and in another way, we’re traveling. Hael is currently fulfilling her duties as a priest, so I’m following her. Although I don’t like to brag, I’m decently skilled with the sword. And, Illan and Reindelph followed us, because they were worried about us.”

Among the party members, there was one person that Grey did not mention, and it was the elf Irlina. He figured that Irlina wasn’t part of their party originally, and that they had just met not that long ago.
