Chang Wook reaches his father and grabs him by the shoulder, turning him around to face him.
"Geez dad, talk about a first impression" Chang Wook said.
"What about you?!" Han Soo yells at his son "You disappear for 6 years then come back with that woman!" Han Soo said disappointed in his son. He has it easy here, yet he decided to go to Seoul and once it got a little bit hard, he decided to become a gigolo "I never knew you to be the kind of man to sleep your way into a job"
"For your information dad, that woman's name is Lee Ha Eun and she is one of the most respected women in Korea" Chang Wook steps up to defend Ha Eun but he doesn't know why "And for your information, she's my fiancée"
Han Soo was surprised by his son's final words "What?" he asked.
"You heard me" Chang Wook said as he walked away from his father and made his way to the living room where mostly everyone was.
"Excuse me everyone. I'd like to make an announcement!" he said loudly. He looked at his mother and grandmother. They were excited to hear what he had to say. Then he looked at Mi Jin who was staring at him with a smile. For a second, he wondered what face Mi Jin would make when she heard the news that were about to come out of her lips, and it made him sad to think about it, but he looked away from her, he promised Ha Eun he was going to do it.
"Ha Eun and I are getting married!" he said. Everyone was surprised. His heart started to beat uncontrollably when he said it out loud. It made him feel out of breath, but he didn't know why. Was he feeling guilty? Yes, this was definitely guilt. He looked at his mother and grandmother, they were the first that started cheering.
"Congratulations!" people yelled.
"Where's the lucky lady?" everyone looked around and called for Ha Eun. She peeked her head out from the dining room and Chang Wook gestured for her to come over.
"Isn't she beautiful everyone?" he asked with a smile. Everyone cheered. And some men whistled.
"I didn't know she had such bad taste!" a guy yelled. Everyone laughed. Chang Wook pointed at him and laughed.
"You're funny aren't you!" Chang Wook said. The atmosphere was light but Ha Eun felt a little uncomfortable, she didn't expect he'd just say it out of nowhere and without telling her.
"This is wonderful news Wookie!" Do Mi said.
"Oh, tell us how you proposed!" Soo Ryun said happily.
Everyone around was ready to hear about it. They wanted to know how romantic Chang Wook was, or even if he was romantic. Ha Eun looked at Chang Wook expecting him to say something, but he grinned at her and sat down on the sofa next to his grandmother and mother.
"I'd like to tell you guys but Ha Eun here loves telling the story" Chang Wook smiled at Ha Eun. She was speechless. She's not a storyteller! Looking around, all eyes are on her. She doesn't understand why Chang Wook won't say anything. If she embarrasses herself, he's in trouble as well "Go ahead honey, the stage is yours"
"No…I won't let him get the best of me" Ha Eun tells herself.
"I love telling this story, yes I do" Ha Eun says as she walks closer to Chang Wook "but where do I start?" she pinches his cheek as a way of showing her anger towards him, but everyone sees it as a sign of endearment. Chang Wook though, is in massive amounts of pain.
"Start wherever" someone yells.
"Well, before he proposed Wook and I weren't having the best of times. We were fighting a lot, and he was hiding things from me, but I had hoped that he was hiding things from me because he wanted to ask me the big question, so I tried throwing a few hints here and there, just to get him to react" Ha Eun looked directly at Chang Wook "and he did, I was surprised when I noticed how embarrassingly scared he was..." Ha Eun had a smile on her face. Chang Wook looked at his family and invitees, they all seemed a bit disappointed in him. He started to think that it might not have been the best idea to make her tell the story of how he proposed so he cut in.
"That's not exactly how it went" he said with a smile. Ha Eun raised her eyebrows wondering what he was going to say "I got all her hints, she's a subtle as a brick through a window" people chuckled. Ha Eun though, didn't like that. I was hiding from her because I was worried she would find this key..."
"They key that opened the cute little box that you made for me with all the tiny cut out pictures of us together!" Ha Eun said with a melancholic look in her eyes "Oh, that box was so adorable!" Ha Eun thought if Chang Wook wanted to make a fool of her, she was going to drag him down with her "And when I opened it, it was full of heart shaped confetti that he took the time to make" Chang Wook looked over at his parents and grandmother. They were thinking that, that wasn't like him at all.
"Then, when I looked down I saw…" before Ha Eun could continue Chang Wook cut in again.
"A big pile of nothing!" Chang Wook exclaimed. Everyone was puzzled by his words. They didn't expect such a plot twist. Ha Eun was finding his cut ins quite amusing. She wondered how he was going to get out of this one "Yeah, no ring. But inside that box…" he looked directly at Ha Eun "Underneath all that crap" he paused to look at everyone else "Was a letter with an address..."
Chang Wook looked at everyone "All spy-like, real masculine type of stuff..." as he was about to continue, Ha Eun cut in.
"To a hotel" Ha Eun cut in "I thought he was seeing someone else" Chang Wook was screaming internally. He was trying to fix the mess and make it romantic, but she just wanted to drag him down "I rushed over there, ready to catch him with another woman but there he was…" Ha Eun looks up at the ceiling with a smile on her face.
"Standing" Chang Wook said looking at the distance.
"Kneeling" Ha Eun intercepted.
"Like a man" Chang Wook looked down.
"In a bed of rose petals" Ha Eun looked at him, an expression in her eyes saying that she was going to end him. Chang Wook didn't know how he could save himself now.
"Your son" Ha Eun continued, looking over at Do Mi and glanced at Han Soo "Your son was choking back, tears..."
"Manly tears" Chang Wook said. At this point, he just wanted everything to be over, he looked down and Ha Eun saw that as her victory, so she decided to wrap things up but not before she took one last jab at him.

"I asked her to marry me and she said yes!" Chang Wook said, getting up from his seat "The end!" Chang Wook looked all around the room, all the women in the room had smiles on their faces and had their hands over their chests. The men were grinning and nodding. He looked over at Ha Eun, she gave him a devilish smile.
"Wook" Soo Ryun said. Chang Wook was scared about what his grandmother would tell him. He loves her but she also knows how to hit where it hurts. The woman has no filter "You're so romantic"
"Chang Wook, your making all of us look bad" one of the men said. People started laughing and applauding.
"Hey, lets see a kiss!" a guy yelled.
"Yeah. A kiss from the happy couple" a woman said. People again, laughed and applauded.
