Marcus looked at the ordinary piece of paper with interest. He felt an inexplicable feeling towards that ordinary piece of paper. He felt that he needed to but that piece of paper at all costs. It was a weird feeling especially when it was clear an ordinary piece of paper. Sure it was special in that it had all the Ten Ancient Languages on it but that was about it. It didn't have an unusual aura around it nor are the words written with some special ink nor was the paper special. It was just common - not unique at all. Even if that was the case he still decided to buy it.

However, it seemed that he wasn't the only one interested in this piece of paper. Roas looked at the paper with "sparkling eyes". Any person with decent discernment capability could tell that his interest was fake. However, no one pointed it out due to their reasons. The auctioneer obviously wouldn't as he wanted to meddle with Roas and, moreover, the item's value would increase if there were other bidders. As for others, they simply treasured their lives more. Naturally, this didn't escape Marcus' eyes either. He narrowed his eyes as he felt unlucky. He was very clear on what Roas was trying to achieve however he didn't think his luck would be so bad that Roas would randomly pick this item to execute his plan. Nevertheless, being a reasonable person, Marcus decided to simply win the item fair and square without pulling any strings.

"1 DP!" Roas "excitedly," said as he jumped out of his seat.

Marcus rolled his eyes when he saw this scene. He seriously considered letting Roas have the item and just killing him later to retrieve it. However, Roas' suspicious behaviour made him think that Roas had a formidable backing - one not afraid to antagonise even the Will of the Aether. Marcus simply wasn't ready to fight such an opponent.

"3 DP." A monotonous voice rang throughout the hall as Marcus typed in 3 on the number pad in front of him.

Roas looked up at the golden words and stopped himself from placing his continuation bid. This one bid represented two things: one, that person was very interested in this item since he raised the bid by 2 DP albeit the uselessness of the item, two, he had enough financial support to waste 2 DP on something that will just gather dust.

"This brother will give some face to this brother over there and refrain from further bidding on this item. I shall congratulate this brother in advance!" Roas put on a smile as he looked towards the golden words.

"Sold to VVIP - 1!" The auctioneer slammed his hammer as he announced in a loud voice.

Marcus smiled when he heard this. However, he frowned soon after. He was naturally happy that he was able to buy his item for a low cost, but Roas' actions made him frown. "It seems he has some wisdom after all," Marcus muttered as his frown grew deeper, "However, if he was able to quickly discern my intention, how could he not discern the intention of the one backing him? Is he doing this of his own will? No that's impossible. If that was the case then he wouldn't be afraid to fight with me for this item. Does he just want to have a conflict with the auction? However, if that was the case then he wouldn't have backed off earlier nor would he be so weak." Marcus raised his eyes as he cast a meaningful gaze towards Roas, "Interesting. Very interesting." The paper was quickly delivered to the suite and Gaia quickly paid for it and stored the paper in its dimensional space.

The auction quickly continued and Marcus watched on with cold eyes. There was no item that garnered his interest so he just sat and waited. The ten warriors stood stiffly by his side as they quietly watched the auction. Their eyes sometimes gleamed as items were presented one by one but they didn't say anything. They simply stared with stars in their eyes at the beautiful items being presented. These items were mostly swords or amours crafted by the hands of renowned craftsmen. The adventurers in the dungeon would often talk about them as they dreamed of having them just before their death. Naturally, these craftsmen were immortalised in the hearts of the inhabitants of the dungeon. To them, these craftsmen could create equipment that could save a man from the grasp of death and make him as lively as if he was in his prime. They would, understandably, show great interest in such equipment which are seemingly made by godly craftsmen or at least approaching that level. However, the reality is often disappointing. The equipment they were wearing were equipment that were disposed of by Granmir the Dwarf as he experimented. Although they were fairly crude and unbecoming of equipment in his eyes, in the eyes of those who lived in the Milky Way they would be godly equipment even better than the ones crafted by these so-called godly craftsmen. Unfortunately, these warriors were innocent and ignorant of the outside world.

As the auction continued, Marcus was able to buy some Eternal Moss, Lightning Rod Trees, Everlasting Clouds, a Source of Thunder, Purple Mist Grass, Green Striped Anemones, Hundred Year Old Fire Spirit Rocks and Thousand Year Old Frozen Iron Essence. With this, the aesthetics of the first couple of floors of his dungeon could be considered settled. Overall he spent 110 DP on all the items. It couldn't be considered cheap but it wasn't considered expensive either although that was only in his eyes. In the eyes of those on the bottom floor, with the exception of Roas, that was a hefty sum. 1 DP was enough to equate to the total worth of an entire family, an entire royal family - one that has lasted for countless generations.
