Chapter 12: Centenary Killing [IV] (2)

Translator: 安贝-Peggyan

I woke up in bed. The furnishings of the room were quite simple but elegant and in good taste. I was injured heavily. I knew that I had at least three ribs and all meridians broken and almost lost all strength after I used my slender ice Qi to run through my entire body. Suddenly, I was knocked out by a fitful pain.

I saw a stunningly beautiful face before I totally blacked out.

Ten days later-

“Your Highness, you wake up.”

The moment I opened my eyes, I heard Xiao’s voice. I was quite weak.

“How...how long?” asked I feebly.

“Your Highness, you’ve been a coma for about ten days. Can you get up?”

“I...”

I lost consciousness again, for the pain drowned me again.

I always saw Xiao Rang and the face of one girl g who I didn’t why was here during the time when I repeatedly woke up and then passed out a dozen times because of the pain.

Her pretty face made her look like my mother, the lady of the Elf Clan.

I eventually woke up at dusk one day. My ribs had been re-joined, and my meridians had become smoothly elastic. My power had seemingly increased tremendously after I had undergone the moment of life and death in the previous fierce battle.

“Your Highness.”

“Yes, Xiao Rang.”

“You eventually wake up. You’ve been unconscious for almost 21 days. ”

“I’ve been a coma so long? How about the Kings of Kingdom Liang and Wei?”

“They’ve re-delimited the boundaries and decided to be brother kingdoms. The King of Kingdom Liang has recovered and gone back, but his hand has been maimed by you forever.” Xiao Rang lowered his head and reported to me.

“What about the King of Kingdom Wei?”

“He’s my father who asks me to take care of you.” A crisp voice came to my ears before Xiao Rang replied to me.

I asked with my eyebrows wrinkled, “You...you’re the one who attended to me when I was in a coma?”

“Yes, I am. My name is Jiuyang. Don’t ‘you’ me again.”

Xiao Rang felt a little awkward. “Your Highness, this is the daughter of the King of Kingdom Wei.”

“Oh, ask her to leave.” I casually waved my hand.

“How can you do this! I looked after you when you were sick!”

“But now, I get well, so you can go back!”

“Then I’ll go!” This girl was ill-tempered and stormed out of the room.

“Your Highness...You...”

“It’s all right, Xiao Rang.”

“Yes, Your Highness.”

“You wake up?”

“Shadow?”

“You can watch the following scenes now. Hahaha, Your Highness, you’re way powerful than your father.”

“Wait a moment...Wait!”

Time and space changed. It was Xi Guang, not Xiao Rang who stood in front of me.

“Your Majesty, your second son will bring you bad luck!”

“What do you mean, Elder Xi Guang? You can’t call my kid that. Besides, it’s the only child Little Min is pregnant with during the war between us and the mortals!”

“It’s true, Your Highness. You have to listen to me.”

“Alright! You can excuse yourself.”

I waved my hand and singled Elder Xi Guang to leave.

I walked inside the palace alone. The more I walked, the more agitated I got. There was something strange happening before the child came to the world. For starters, a few of significant ministers were assassinated inside the Imperial City with no reason. Then, Elder Xi Guang became greatly odd. Additionally, Little Min’s body was getting worse and worse.

Was Elder Xi Guang right about that? The child was really inauspicious?

Time and space changed again.

“Hahaha, well done, Elder Xi Guang! You can rest assured now, for I won’t hurt your families at all.” The man talking was sturdy with a valuable wand in his hand.

However, Elder Xi Guang, who was second to the King, knelt down before like a servant without any complaints.

“Your Highness, are...you...serious...about...this? ” stuttered Elder Xi Guang.

As soon as he was done talking, the man who was seated on the throne said in fury, “It’s not your turn to speak! Do you really want your families dead?”

“No...no.” Elder Xi Guang explained to the man right away, but the man hit him over his head with the valuable wand. Elder Xi Guang immediately passed out with his head brimming with blood.

The man on the throne said with a sneer, “How useless he is. How dare he instructs me to do things. You drag him down, wake him with water, and take him to see his families in case of any other troubles rendered.”

“Yes, Your Highness.” Those guards next to him nodded and dragged Elder Xi Guang down.

His blood was left a long trail on the ground.

The man held the wand and touched it over and over again. Then, he turned better suddenly. The ruby on his wand shone with eerie red light, which made the others feel ghastly and scared.

Out of the blue, the red light shone on the man’s face, illuminating his twisted expression.

“Elder brother!”

The man was the eldest prince, Leng Chen!

Shadow smiled and then disappeared into my heart again.

“Your Highness? Your Highness? What’s up?”

I saw Xiao Rang kneel down in front of me and ask me with concerns while I was still in a trance.

I shook my head.

“Xiao Rang, have you been asking me about what I pursue?”

“Yes, I have, Your Highness. I hope you can become powerful, but I more expect you to have a strong heart, Your Highness.”

“I’ll show you my strong heart.”

“Xiao Rang, put everything in order.”

“To do what, Your Highness?”

“Xiao Rang, I finally understand what you said to me.”

“Your Highness, that’s not the end of you, but a start. As long as you continue your journey, you’ll know what you want to know naturally. You’ll be the King eventually. You can be nothing but the King.”

“I think I finally figure it out.”

“No, Your Highness, you don’t get it.”

“ I’ll go back to be the King.” A huge Snow Swirl started rotating beside me.

Xiao Rang stared at me with his extremely bright eyes.
