Book 2 Chapter 13.1 – Taibai Restaurant

Within Li Yang’s bedroom.

“Hu… Seems like this set of clothes is done for. En, I’ll clean myself up first!” Li Yang who had just used the Evasion Technique to return to his room looked at himself through the mirror. When he saw that he looked drenched and bedraggled, he couldn’t help but laugh. Under such powerful water pressure, his clothes being destroyed was not something unusual.

After washing himself up ten minutes later, Li Yang walked out onto his balcony in his pajamas with a clear expression. It was only six in the morning. The air was fresh and clean, and Manhattan was still a bit cold and lonely; there weren’t many people on the streets. While overlooking the Manhattan’s 57th street, Li Yang sucked in a deep breath, immediately turning around and walking downstairs.

After arriving downstairs, without ruining Li Yang’s expectations, breakfast had already been prepared.

The living room in Li Yang’s villa was still relatively large. In the center of the lobby were three sofas, and the three sofas were facing three different directions. The last side had a flat screen television on the wall, and a long dining table stretched behind. Typically, Little Jack and Lili would often be watching television on the sofas.

“Oh… Why did Miss Lili make more than ten different dishes? Five or six for breakfast is enough!” Li Yang saw the rich and sumptuous breakfast on top of the dining table, and his eyes immediately lit up. Although his mouth were saying those words, he himself still sat down and picked up his chopsticks; he prefered to use his chopsticks.

“Mister Mu Yi, three maids arrived last night. I arranged for them to stay in the rooms downstairs. This breakfast is a small exam from me, and these fifteen dishes were made respectively by those three maids.” Miss Lili was dressed completely in a light red, seeming to be rather high-spirited. Behind her were three filipino maids who were respectfully standing.

“We greet Mister Mu!” The three maids bowed as they spoke, and the three maids spoke in pure American English.

Li Yang made a slight brushing movement with his arms and said, “Not bad, the breakfast you all have prepared is truly not bad.” After saying this, Li Yang ate another few bites. Suddenly, Li Yang noticed the Little Jack who was drawing an oil painting on the side, fully devoting himself to the drawing.

“Hey, little jack, do you like to draw oil paintings?” Li Yang seemed to be rather curious.

Little Jack furrowed his brows and said in a low voice, “Of course. These past days, I’ve been drawing every day, only that big brother Mu never came out of the bedroom and never found out.” When Li Yang heard his, he couldn’t refrain from being startled. Soon after, he curiously walked over to Little Jack’s side, and carefully looked at Little Jack’s oil painting.

“Oh, I didn’t expect this. Little Jack, your oil painting skills are definitely at a master level.” Li Yang looked at Little Jack’s oil painting with shock. Even though Little Jack was only seventeen, the skill level of this oil painting was definitely high. Although Li Yang was not proficient at oil paintings, he still understood quite a bit about them.

When Miss Lili heard Li Yang compliment her brother, she also began to happily laugh.

The brother sister pair were in rather good state of minds. Although they were currently constantly cultivating, their enemy who personally killed their mother had already been killed by Li Yang. The only thing they wanted to do within their hearts was to take revenge on the Church. However, he Church’s strength was too great, and after thinking about it calmly during these past few days, the siblings also understood that these things could not be rushed. After they reach the Wolf Monarch rank, then they would be able to secretly carry out their revenge against the Church.

“Heng heng, I’m a genius!” Little Jack placed his painting brush down, and arrogantly said this towards Li Yang. He had an extremely prideful look.

Miss Lili then said, “Jack really likes things related to art, and he is extremely talented. He is rather skilled at oil painting, piano, and other things that are similar. As for his oil painting, he won first place in a nationwide eighteen and under competition before!” It was clear that Lili was rather proud of her brother.

After Li Yang heard this, he began to widen his eyes as he looked at Little Jack. Only after a long time did he say, “I truly didn’t expect this!”

Little Jack laugher with a hehe sound, and with a lift of his eyebrows, he said, “Haha, it’s because I’m a genius…”

Underground Boxing Arena

The opponent howled as his two legs swept towards LI Yang, carrying a strong wind behind them. His complexion was even more malevolent and terrifying.

Meanwhile, Li yang waited until his opponent’s attack was about to land. In that split second, he kicked from the side, the powerful force carrying a whirlwind as it struck his opponent in the chest. That strange trajectory unexpectedly made his opponent unable to guard against it, and as blood blossomed in all directions, his opponent collapsed on the spot. At this moment, the opponent had already died, yet Li Yang still did a flying kick, launching his opponent into the air. Following that, he did a midair tornado kick, firmly sending his opponent flying.

Mu! Mu! Mu! Mu! Mu! Mu!…

This was another one of Li Yang’s victories within the Underground Boxing Arena.

Within one of Manhattan’s villas.

Beautiful maids pushed out the dining carts, delivering it to the boss’ designated location — The boss’ villa.

“Sir, should I… ah!” A resounding shriek rang out from within the maid’s mouth. This was because the fat pig of a boss who was on top of the bedroom bed currently had a hole in his head.

This was Li Yang’s tenth B rank mission.

The base of the Hudson River.

Beneath the powerful water pressure, it was absolutely impossible for an ordinary person to bear, yet Li Yang currently had his upper body bare. He was relaxed as he stood underwater, not being affected by the flow of water. The Xiantian qi within Li Yang’s body moved in waves, and his muscles were even more tightened. His powerful force resisted the enormous water pressure.

Hu! Hu!

Li Yang began to move from the bottom of the river; a hacking kick, a rotating tornado kick, a chopping air palm… Xiantian qi was accumulated inside, and with each move and form, his heart would flow with the scenes of ‘Piercing Clouds and Moving Mists,’ ‘Sealed Off,’ ‘Splitting Rivers and Dividing the Ocean’; scenes that contained the essence of the world. Li Yang’s movements were also becoming more and more swift, and the resistance within the water was also becoming smaller and smaller. The attacks containing Xiantian qi were also becoming stronger and stronger.

A night passed, and another day of Li Yang’s underwater training ended.

Time flowed on, and Li Yang’s days were passed like usual. Li Yang was currently accepting assassination missions, participating in a few matches, and cultivating at the base of the river. When he was bored, he would tease the cute Little Jack.

Li Yang opened his computer, and entered the page of the ‘billion dollar mission.’

“Heavens, why hasn’t this solo assassin ‘Third’ taken action yet? There still haven’t been any results until now. It’s been twenty days since he accepted this mission. En, whatever, an assassin has to take action thirty days after accepting this mission. Let’s just wait a bit longer!” How could Li Yang know what assassins typically do? Most assassins use the majority of their time to understand their target, and the actual actions only took a moment. True assassins don’t use their killing moves easily, and use all of their forces when they do!

There’s nothing to be done about it, because compared to others, Li Yang’s way of carrying out missions was simply too easy.

First, allow Overlord Xiang Yu to search with his primordial spirit and find out his opponent’s situation.

Next, use the Evasion Technique to dispatch the steel marbles.

Mission success!

“Overlord, why do I feel like my improvements in strength during this period of time was not the ten fold that I expected?” Li Yang suddenly asked Xiang Yu.

Xiang Yu reprimanded, “You really are biting off more than you can chew. Within this ‘Devil God’s Six Extremes,’ the only attack method that you learned is ‘Splitting Rivers and Dividing the Ocean.’ Perhaps if you drew out a ‘stroke’ like the great taoist, then the Xiantian qi you emit might truly increase by tenfold. However, by using your two legs to attack, you really don’t have any way to imitate it. This will depend on the amount of insights you gain. If you imitated the great taoist’s movement trajectory, with your insights at a high level and your movements closer to the laws of the world, then the power will obviously be greater.

Li Yang also understood. During this period of time, the attack power of his two arms and legs have increased by quite a bit, roughly doubling in offensive strength.

“Sigh, if I had a flying dagger artifact, then my attack power will definitely increase greatly!” Li Yang suddenly sighed and spoke. Ordinary steel daggers had no way of holding that much strength. It may just be enough to defeat Xiantian experts, but towards those experts at a Golden Dan stage and higher, it wouldn’t work. Li Yang trained in the flying dagger since he was young, and so he still had some special feelings towards it.

“Li Yang, don’t be discouraged. You can go the Dao of emotion and the Dao of Flying Daggers! Currently, your Flying Dagger is only the flying dagger of the mortal world. That Li Xunhuan’s Flying Dagger Dao is the true Flying Dagger from the Cultivator realm. As for the Dao of swords, the sword immortal is known as the number one attack power within the Immortal Realm. As of how great the power of the Dao of Flying Daggers is, even Overlord cannot imagine. If you are lucky, and you can cultivate that true Flying Dagger Great Dao, then the power will definitely be great!”

TL: Reminder Li Xunhuan is Li Yang’s ancestor, also a well known Flying Dagger user in the Wuxia universe

Although Xiang Yu was not that clear how terrifying the Dao of Flying Daggers was, but he felt an aura from that ‘Three Great Heavenly Realms’ handwritten book that Li Yang studied. That wave of blade aura was a blade aura that could overcome every obstacle! That blade’s aura level was extremely high, and was far from something that Li Yang could feel. Although Li Yang constantly flipped through that book, he couldn’t feel it at all. However, Xiang Yu reached the Devil King rank, and his skill was even greater than that Li Xunhuan. As a result, he obviously could feel it.

The Flying Dagger’s aura was extremely firm and Yang! It was condensed to the limit, and there was no stronghold it couldn’t overcome!

Could it be that this was precisely the blade aura from the Dao of Flying Daggers?
