A moment later, the man in black who had tried to run away screamed as he was being thrown out of the grove. His body slammed against the monster’s tentacle. The translucent tentacle deflected to the side due to his hit, and as a result, the girl escaped unharmed.
“It was a good choice to let a spirit ghost follow you.”
Xu Shenxing slowly paced out of the grove, holding a stick in his hand.
Song Yu glanced at the man in black, who was lying on the ground, not knowing if he was dead or alive. Then looked at Xu Shenxing, blooming a pleasantly surprised expression on her face.
“I have lots to speak to you about, but there is one more important thing that I need to deal with.” Xu Shen smiled and then looked at the revived Mirage.
The monster was different from the other monsters that he had killed in another world. The monsters on the earth cared about their bodies, after they become Youkai (or spirit creatures), the most important organ for them was their “Demon Dan”.
Mirage’s pearl was a type of “Demon Dan”. When Song Yu adorned it on her body, she had Xu Shenxing’s Divine Protection, although it didn’t increase its physical defense power anymore, (because this type of change was pretty easy to be found by others) the evil property of Mirage’s Pearl was still perfectly squelched; it could only be used to increase the charm of Song Yu’s song as a passive magic instrument.
However, it fell into the lake – the place where the Mirage lost its life; this place was still filled with the Mirage’s Qi. Afterwards, chemical reaction… no, occult reaction happened. The Mirage’s soul woke up inside the pearl and revived again.
Because Xu Shenxing hadn’t killed any youkai before, he made this mistake carelessly. Fortunately, Qin Xingyan warned him in time, in addition he also let a spirit ghost stay with the girl, which let him easily find where Song Yu was.
After seeing Xu Shenxing, the Mirage’s insufferable arrogance immediately disappeared. It turned around and tried to escape. Xu Shen waved his hand. A dark blue pearl flew into his palm through countless splashes.
Song Yu didn’t sure if it was an illusion, but she thought she heard an unwilling roar of a monster inside the lake.
“There will be no accidents this time.” Xu Shenxing attached the scroll he got from Qin Xingyan onto the Mirage’s pearl, then the scroll instantly burned into ashes as the Mirage’s soul disappeared inside the pearl. After finishing all this, Xu Shenxing handed over the Mirage’s pearl to Song Yu, “Do you still want it?”
This time, Song Yu shook her head, “I think I don’t need it anymore.”
“Don’t you want to be a super star?” Xu Shenxing played with the Mirage’s pearl, looking at the girl and asked, “If you are afraid of being entangled by strange men, I can help you… you do know I have that kind of ability, right?”

She glanced at the TV, and then frowned, “Why are you watching this kind of boring thing?” Picking up the TV remote, she changed the channel into a soap opera.
“Just having a look.” Xu Shenxing shrugged his shoulders. He looked at the delicious dishes interested, but still pretended to be restrained, “In fact, you don’t have to cook meals for us so often.”
