"Wait tommorow??"
Both Febbs and Shalador were suprised by this, even though they dont know how long its been going on for to make a move this soon seemed supriseing to say the least.
"Correct tommorow, early in the morning as well so if you want to rest here for the night then you can. there is a room in the building across from this you can use"
Before leaving Febbs talked some more about what the plan was and once he understood enough and then headed to the other building which was just a small room with a pair of beds in it.
"Um Shalador, do you want to talk about this?"
"Not really, goodnight" After saying this Shalador hopped into his bed in the aready pretty dark room and quickly fell asleep.
Knowing that it wouldn't be of any use Febbs silently lied down in his bed and began thinking of all the things hes been through with Shalador up till now and eventually fell asleep.
The next morning the duo was awoke by someone shoving them awake, and telling them that "Its almost time, get something to eat and meet in the other building"
Which they did, they had some rations given to them by the person who woke them and headed over to the building from the day before. Upon enter this time however they noticed that alot more people were here, some people were wearing nobility robes while others were dressed in high ranking guard uniforms. Shortly after they entered the room everyone else began leaving with a determined and slightly scared looks on their face.
"Now for you two, Would you rather be in the castle against the king or supporting from the back lines"
The first to open his mouth was Febbs "Well being in the Backli-"
Interrupted by Shalador however "I'll deal with the king myself"
Sighing deeply Febbs begrudgingly said "Im going with him anyways so front lines it is"
Slightly laughing the girl suddenly became really serious and said "Thats fine then, we'll create an opening so you should be able to go straight into the throne room. before then I need you to wait outside the throne room and wait for the the signal"
-A few minutes later -
Standing outside the throne room was Febbs and Shalador looking nervous as they waited for a signal of some kind when they finally heard the sounds of clashing steel, small explosions and other sounds of fighting off in the distance.
"Shalador do you think that is the symbol?"
"No the signal should be something else, something more. That!" pointing towards a group of guards rushing out of the throne room Shalador smiled and said "We go now!" and began running into the throne room.
As they walked in both the king and his bodyguard named Yan noticed them.
"What are you two doing here! You aren't permitted to be here! Leave now or ill force you to leave!" Roared Yan as he reached towards his hammer.
Shalador looking directly at his father gritted his teeth then yelled out "You are the one who caused all of this, you MUST pay for what you did!"
Yan noticing his grabbed his hammer and began running towards Shalador "Insolence!". Febbs however expected this and intervened using his sword to strike back against the heavy hammer.
With the constant sound of a sword scraping against armor or against the hammer ringing out Shalador knew that he had to do his part as well and launched a bolt of fire towards the king.
As the bolt approached the king a faint yellow sphere around the king appeared and as it did a crazy laughter rang out from the king who jumped out of his throne "haHahaHAhaAh! You think YOU can stand up to me? NO! Im the KING!" After saying this he began running like a man man towards Shalador.
As he approached Shalador continuously launched spells towards the king but every time they were absorbed by the sphere around the king. When the king finally got close enough he stabbed at Shalador with his rapier which stabbed into Shaladors leg caused him to almost lose his balance and fall over.
But because of the lose range Shalador was now able to reach him as well, meaning Shalador pulled a dagger from his side and slashed across the king, a deep enough wound to cause blood to leak everywhere and the king began to panic slightly. "NonoNoooNoONO! I Am the KING!" And once more began to wildly attack Shalador
Completely focused on his father Shalador didn't notice what was happening on the side till it was to late, he heard Febbs say "Shalador... im sorry" then a loud bang erupt from his direction.
Looking over in a panic Shalador saw something he neer imagined seeing, lying on the ground was the body of Febbs and next to him Yan. Febbs had been able to hold his ground at the begging but as the fight went on the weight of Yan's hammer became to much and eventually allowed him to crush Febbs. Before he as finished off however Febbs managed to get a stab into Yan which managed to finish him off as well, making it a loss for both of them.
Seeing his friends body lying lifeless on the ground caused something in Shalador to snap as huge bolts of lightning as thick as an arm began to swirl around Shalador before exploding out. As the lightning exploded out anything it came into contact was destroyed, first the shield around the king then the king himself, as well as the floor, the walls and the throne as well.
Looking at the destruction caused by what he did Shalador shed a tear as he looked around and realized he had nothing now. He looked down at himself but as he did he noticed something odd. Inside of his chest was a knife, stabbed into where his heart was.
It wasn't until he saw it that he felt it. First he fell to his knees then he lied down with the last thing he was able to see was the face of his good friend and traveling companion, Febbs.
