A week of the silent treatment was more than enough for me and Dracula, I couldn't very well stop talking to him, seeing as we have too much to do. Tue training over the past week has been really intense, from learning to manipulate not just blood, but also the darkness, to mastering the skills of creating small pocket dimensions within my own shadow that could store items.

Plus we spared a lot, and while I've yet to lay even a scratch on the god of vampires, I would say that at this point I was not the same person I was when I came to Transylvania. But according to Dracula there was only so much training I could do to be stronger as a vampire. I was already an anomaly being as strong as I am, but vampires get stronger with age, and I've only been a vampire for almost two years, the fact that I'm a shadow of was a miracle in and out of itself.

So if I was hoping to get stronger, at least in the aspect of my vampiric abilities, I had to live for a lot longer than I already have. So for now I've learnt all I possibly could, at least for a vampire of my rank. Anything else would require me to be of a higher rank, and to have lived for as long as possible. But either way, my other abilities as a vampire would keep getting stronger, even if I didn't train and just decided to sit my ass in one corner for the next three thousand years. Which brought this particular phase of my training to an end, whatever was left to learn and practice, was left to me by Dracula. He was still hanging around, so he would be serving as a supervisor of sorts.

"Young king Kael, we should be arriving in the current capital of demon Transylvania in roughly three days. It would be foolish for you to go in there without proper knowledge. And in regards to our agreement, I will tell you about the ancient city of Idah." Dracula said to me as he floated in the air like a ghost. I only shrugged my shoulders as a sign for him to carry on.

"When Shearath was born, so too were many gods and demons and devils. For a human being on earth, what came first, before anything else was religion, faith and belief. Some of these gods were born conscious of their identities, of who they were, and how they came into being by the will and imagination of man. Others remain gullible, and for some reason the gods that were aware, became incapable of telling the others who and what they truly are.

Some gods due to having multiple counterparts on earth were born as a single entity, even taking on a new name in tandem of the new identity. Of the thousands of Gods in existence, only fourteen such gods know about their origins, and said gods could all be considered Universal beings. Someone who functioned above the laws of the seven universal layers, blessed this way because of the knowledge of their true existence. Some of us have the ability to travel between the layers, though at great cost as you can see from my weakened state.

The seven layer universes are a mirror of each other, like they are similar planes of existence lapped together over each other. A human here would definitely exist in the sixth layer, and he would might be a woman there, or a dog, or a vampire. Not everything is the same, but there's always a different version of yourself within the other layers, even for the gods.

The only exception to this rule young king, are the universal beings. People like me, you, the gods Poseidon now known as Atlan god of the earth and seas, Osiris now known as Demarkin, god of death, lost souls and rebirth. There are many more of them, with you actually being very familiar with one. The goddess Selene, Artemis and Tsukuyomi. Three earth gods combined into a new entity in Shearath...the elf goddess of magic, love, war and the moon; Saleil, and currently your wife Asha!"

Mind blown? Definitely. But somehow the shock I was feeling was not because my wife was a universal being like myself, and a combination of three other moon gods from earth. It was the fact that one of said gods was a freaking male that set me off. I looked at Dracula and asked.

"a quarter of my wife is a man!" I asked looking horrified

"Seriously, I tell you the greatest secret of the current universe and you're worried that your wife was born from the concept of a male god. It might seem weird to you, but for gods there's nothing strange about that. Take Athena for example, though she has a different name here, she was still born from Zeus's brain matter, I'm sure you know the story. A male god was not joined with two other female gods, she was born from the concept of all three gods becoming one, there's no quarter male or female." Dracula explained to me. Though I was somewhat relieved, it still felt weird.

"But why were the Gods combined?" I asked him in confusion.

"Simple, because you can't have too many gods controlling one domain. It's stupid and grounds for a celestial battle of epic proportions. As long as there's on god of the moon and one god of the sun everything is okay. Though the sun is a little bit tricky, you may not have noticed it, but Shearath has two suns, Apollo and Ra. And as such two sun gods. But we're not discussing the intricacies of immortal world, I'm telling a story to don't interrupt.

I was born a universal being, but I wasn't born a god. I was human, and relieved my life just like the pages of a book, just like Bram Stoker wrote me to be. However unfortunately humans have to strong a will, I'm the most loved vampire in existence. I may not be able to travel to earth, but I have an awareness of the people there, because it is their devotion that propelled me to godhood. But before I became a god, too many shits went wrong.

Just so you know, your wife was never in love with me, Saleil was too prideful to submit to any man, so I'm quite surprised you're married to her. Though I'm not sure she realizes it either. Popular conception is that she's imprisoned on the moon, but those bloody fools don't know she sealed her powers and has been reincarnating over and over again till a time when she's needed. Your wife is not a copy of a goddess, she is the goddess!"

"Wait! But how...."

"Don't interrupt me Kael! Let me finish. If I'm the father of the vampire race, then she's the mother. Or to be more precise, she's also my mother if you want to be technical. I became a vampire, but was completely incapable of turning anyone else, or even having an offspring. I was a creature of balance, hanging between life and death, so nature would not allow me bring life into the world, but she helped me. She wanted to create a powerful army that could fade the coming darkness, she was the goddess of the elves, but there was only so much those long eared stuck ups could do, so she wanted to help make their chances a little higher.

The spell she used to help had some unforeseen side effects, Shearath; a living planet with no moon suddenly had one. And the moon gave us, and an experiment of hers too much power. Those experiments were the werewolf's, which is why we're so similar to them, and no other creature could kill us just as easily as those man dogs. She became more powerful, becoming the goddess of the moon, and getting power into a domain she should never have entered into the first place....Night.

It was only a matter of time before she became a goddess of the night, and the then goddess of night Nyx was not too willing to share. To be honest I really didn't know how everything fell apart so fast, she was betrayed by her own subjects, but they couldn't kill her, because to do so means loosing access to magic until another goddess of magic is born, and that was a risk no body, not even the gods themselves wanted, as being a god over magic was too much power.

Transylvania suffered it's first war, and all the plans we had put down in preparation for the coming war was lost. The city of Idah was built not just by vampires, but also by elves and Dwarves. Saleil had tasked all three races to do so, so you better be ready because those who selfish and greedy bastards would come looking for it. But they won't find it here, neither would you. In fact I would say that you already found the city, or at least what became of it.

With no other choice, and to keep the city safe since it's meant to be an important resource in the war to come, I gave it to the only other race I could trust.….the dragons. And they did a splendid job of keeping it safe, because they knew more about the darkness that was to come, the city of Idah was remade and rebuilt into something more, something more powerful. It would serves as the base and the home of the future champions of the seven universes, at least that's what they told me. And then they renamed it the realm of the dragon kings.

Was quite upset about that name for a while, I still am, but seeing you, I guess it made sense. So yes you've already seen the city, but it can no longer be called that anymore, it has become a world all on it's own. A world that you're supposed to be king off. There's nothing left in Transylvania but death, demons and dust Kael, you came here for nothing. Of course you could get some treasures, old tech, and even natural resources, but in the end Transylvania is barren, and the city you're looking for books longer exists."

Wow, I guess it really was a small world, a convenient small world. Though this meant I have been putting myself in danger chasing a mirage, I don't think I regret making this decision. Not when it had opened me to a whole new world of knowledge, it was really had for me to say this, but I believe it was fate that brought me here. And I won't be regretting that decision any time soon.

"So now that you know the truth about the city, what would you do next?" Dracula asked me.

I looked up at him and sighed as I placed my hand behind my head. He was right though, I had to make a decision, but that wasn't too hard for me. I never really cared about the city in the first place. But based on what he just said, the capital city had disappeared long before the vampire war, which means we were chasing the mystery that our fallen ancestors couldn't solve, damn! We actually went to war because of the damn maps that was supposed to lead us to the city. But if the map did not lead to Idah, then where the fuck is it pointing to, and what's with all this round about journey.

I guess the only way to find out is to see this bloody journey to the end, whatever this map of clues was leading to, I was going to get there, and hopefully kick the ass of the person who made it, or at least spit on the ashes of his bones. I looked up to Dracula and said.

"Don't worry, I'll keep on going forward. City or not, I want to see where this map leads, plus I made a promise to a goddess to help her get back to her former glory. I'm not backing out of this now. Besides I have you my crazy teacher besides me, and I'm sure you still have a lot to teach me, and I'm more than willing to learn. So let's continue with this weird adventure of ours." I said to him with a smile.

"you sound like an Anime character." Dracula said to me with a look of disgust on his face.

Alarm from the insane fact that the god of vampires knew what an anime was, I guess he was right. That was too cheesy and it left a terrible after taste in my mouth. But none the less I was going to see this journey to the end, plus I'm expecting company, I can't go back now.

*BOOoooOoooM!*

Shit! The company is here, and Dracula has disappeared again. At this point you would think that I had learnt my lesson, that no matter what I should be careful what I wish for.
