So I had my jaw hanging halfway downy body, I was exhausted and tired and very close to my breaking point. I've been trying so hard to get them down from the roof, but they've taken it as a game, literally teleporting and shifting positions as much as they liked, and I couldn't even keep up with them. I couldn't use any of my more violent skills for the simple fact that unlike Asha, none of them were baby proof. Teluna walked up from behind me, joining the crowd of amused people who have been watching making a fool out of myself for the last half hour, so much so that some of them have even started taking pictures and shooting videos.

"hey boss what's going on?" Teluna asked with a carefree attitude and an infuriating smile on his face. Like I said, I was already close to my breaking point, and unfortunately for Teluna, he became the outlet for me to release my frustrations.

"What's going on! What's GOING ON!! ARE YOU BLIND!! I'm being made a fool by babies no older than six months, and they're enjoying it. Not to mention I've been doing this bloody cat and mouse chase for over half an hour, I'm a failure! I suck so much as a parent the heavens are laughing at me, ARE YOU LAUGHING AT ME TOO!! They're monsters, my kids are monsters. I think I've aged a million years extra, oh! I need a drink maybe a pillow, mummy!"

I was loosing my mind. It was not just the chasing after them that's put my nerves on edge, it's the very dangerous maneuvers or places they've decided to crawl or teleport through or past. I'm pretty sure if I was not a vampire, I should be dead ten times over from a heart attack. Asha appeared in front of me, trying but failing to contain the grin that's threatening to spill from her lips. I felt my skin crawl as the air got electrified as she got closer, one half of her hair was already silver like the moon, and one of her eyes were icy blue and piercing in such a way I couldn't help but shiver in excitement. She's regained most her godly powers in the time we've been in the realm, it was as if the realm made people grow stronger a whole lot faster than normal, and I was also among the lucky ones.

Asha was now fully a goddess in body, soul and spirit, the only thing lagging behind is her energy, and the full scope of her powers and abilities, but so far she's gotten so powerful I actually saw her create life out of nothing, amazing.

"Oh sweet heart it's okay, shhh, just calm down. I don't think it would be wise for the high king to have a meltdown because of his kids, in front of his subjects."

And then she rubbed her hands on my back as she tried to calm me down. Then immediately silver thorn branches and vines burst out of the ground, and stretched forwards towards the still crawling on the ceiling Cassiel And Michael. They're babies, but they have such unconscious control off their auras that it's freaking me out, how in the hell are these kids so damn powerful.

The branches caught them, and somehow none of the thorns even hurt them, as Asha brought them down into my arms. Now this Is the part where I start yelling at them, but they both looked up at me and grabbed onto my long hair and started the most intense conversation in baby language, occasionally looking at their mothers, and then back to me with their beautiful blue eyes. I felt down when I realized I was defeated, there was no way I could scold them, my babies are just so precious.

"Your Majesties, all the preparations have been set, it's time for the ceremony to proceed." Emrys said as he flew and situated himself on top of a totem pole, that was recently built in one of the chambers within the palace.

At the foot of the totem pole was an empty pit, this used to be the bloodline pool where chosen soldiers would be given a chance to bath in it, and their bloodlines and capabilities would be strengthen by a grade. But for this ceremony, the pool has been drained, and the numerous draconic runes, wards and spell circles etched into the pool were left exposed.

I was not really one for the intricacies of magic, I was rather straight forward in my utilization of it, so I didn't pay much attention to things like spell circles and wards. Runes were plenty work enough for me, and I rather not add anything more to it. Let someone else have the glory for once.

"Emrys please if you don't mind me asking, can you explain this ceremony to us, and why you suggested it." Asha asked as she came closer to me and started fixing Cassiel and Michael's clothes, removing any residual smudge of dirt on their pristine white ceremonial clothes.

"I don't mind your Majesty. Amongst the dragons sometimes some children are born incapable of inheriting their parents bloodlines, or maybe a grand child or great grand child had a bloodline or gene that skipped their generation. This ceremony was made to rectify that problem, the bloodline essence and energy of the parents are collected and made into a sort of cosmic incubator that will remold and rebirth the child with the missing bloodline, into a being with the bloodline. And it would be as if they were born with the genes themselves, and in some rare cases the genes received as so strengthened that the bloodlines undergo a qualitative change.

When your children were conceived, Kael was human, and you were a sealed vampire. They're dhamphirs, but none of them have the full scope of a vampire's abilities because of how stunted their development was due to situations you are both very aware of. And seeing how talented they are, it would be nothing more than a shame if they do not gain the best part of their parents. Which is their mother's godhood, and their father's draconic bloodline and combined the full scope and capabilities of a vampires abilities. It's a very advantageous procedure, and it will give your children the strength they need to protect themselves, and their people."

It sounds like a very good idea if I should be honest, and I believed that this might be the greatest gift I could possibly give to them at this moment. A way for them to be strong, strong enough to protect themselves against the evils of the world. And Asha was in agreement with me, which was good. But Xaseah moved forward and asked Emrys.

"It can't be that easy, now is it?" Emrys looked at her in silence for a moment, but then shook his head with a scary looking smile on his face.

"Its amazing how much you love these children when you didn't birth them. And I can see how fiercely you want to protect them, ready to shower upon them a love no less deeper than that of their birth mother, if not more. I sympathize with you on your inability to have children, the lock on your womb was placed there by nature itself, and not even Kael with all his power would be able to remove it. But it wasn't put there to punish you, it's an agreement you made when you received your new class. Because you knew that should you ever become pregnant, you won't live long enough to see your child's face.
In that regard, I offer you a chance at motherhood in every sense of the word. If you partners are in agreement, your bloodline will be added to theirs, and Grand princess Cassiel and Grand Prince Michael would be your children not just in name, but also by blood."

"We accept!" Asha answered immediately, moving forwards to give Xaseah a hug.
However I was bloody confused as I had no idea what was happening, or even what they were talking about. But Asha and Xaseah did not seem ready to tell me anything, even Emrys was being quiet. I was about to ask a question when Asha looked at me with a smile and said.

"Please my love, don't push for an answer. This secret is Xaseah's to tell, and she doesn't feel ready to say anything about it yet. So please give her time."

I didn't push, there was no need to do so. I loved both women with my all my heart and I trusted them with my life. If there's something I have to know, they'll tell me about it themselves, and when they're ready to, I'll be here to listen.

Suddenly a formless pressure picked up Cassiel and Michael from my arms and deposited them into the one and a half meter deep pit. The runes on the walls lit up immediately and a golden shield made from spell circles and wards came into existence, leaving them secured and trapped in the pit. Emrys started chanting, and he was using a weird and sonorous voice that reminded me of monks back on earth.

Asha held my hand and Xaseah and placed it on the shield, it was warm to the touch and left me feeling connected to my children in a really weird way. Then Emrys spoke up.

"Queen Xaseah you asked me, that this Ceremony won't be so easy, and I deflected until you've all reached a point of no return. If you take your hands off that shield now, then the young prince and princess would die a painful death. This ceremony is going to be very painful for the young royals, but so will it be for you. The more pain you feel, the lesser the pain they will feel, so you will have to shoulder each other's pain, as a family. How long it will last, I don't know, but you can't stop until the shield itself disappears. Let us begin."

That bloody scheming dragon! Fuck! I wanted to throw him on the ground and step allover his bloody face. But there was no time to do so as I felt my hand sliced open, and blood began to flow from it. My blood was red with a hint of gold in it, perfectly normal for a vampire and dragon hybrid. But Asha's was completely silver and glowing. And then Xaseah gave me a shock as her own blood was a dark blue with tiny little stars swimming in it. A heavy amount was taken from our bodies, and then the gathered just underneath the shield, above the heads of children.

The blood began to twist and turn, blending together until all that was left was some sort of thick transparent liquid that spread to the wall in two parts. Then it started crawling down, moving past certain runes and spell circles, drawing a formation of it's own around Cassiel and Michael. The liquid began to crawl towards them like creeping snakes until finally it touched them, and then the world went white with pain.

I heard them screaming, not just with my ears, but with my soul. I think I was also screaming but I couldn't really be sure, not with the intense pain I was currently feeling. But this pain was not just limited to me alone, I could feel and sense that Asha, Xaseah and the kids were also going through a similar hell. As intense as it was, there was no way I was going to let them feel such horror, so I dragged the pain to my own body and for the first time, I truly felt what it meant to die.

"Kael! Stop! We have to share the pain, if you take it all on yourself you'll die! Let go!"

I didn't want to let go, not if they'll be feeling this much pain, plus I was scared that if I let go, I wouldn't have enough control to control how much pain I would be sending back, I didn't want to overwhelm any of them, most of all my children. But then suddenly the pain stopped, and I was on my knees breathing deeply, blood seeping out of my eyes, nose and ears. I felt like I had multiple brain aneurysms at the same time, I looked one last time to see Cassiel and Michael unconscious, sleeping peacefully with Xaseah and Asha holding them.
Seeing that they were okay, I simply gave in to the darkness that was hanging at the edge of my vision, whatever was waiting for me beyond that, I wasn't sure. But I guess I'll find out.
