The world was silent, it was neither cold nor hot, just silent and bright, all so bright. Fire rained down from the skies as I drew closer with baited breaths, completely afraid and holding my breath and praying, really hard to a God I've abandoned for quite a while to come through for me. In those three seconds of silence and fear I made so many promises, none of which I even rebel making within the heat of the moment.

But whether or not my prayer was answered, or having a goddess for a wife was more advantageous than I thought, the frigate was unharmed. And right in front of it was a massive moon with a hole right in it's middle. This was not an illusion, I could feel it from here, and I knew that moon was as real as the flesh on my bones. But the power contained within it was too intense, even with all of my strength, I couldn't draw close to it, no body can. The surface of the moon began to regenerate, the hole that had been blasted through it closed up, and then the moon began to glow as everything around us grew dark, almost as if night had fallen.

The artificial moon was huge, twice the size of the frigate, and shining with a light so intense my eyes burned. And then the moon pulsed, like a heartbeat. And then from it's surface, numerous animals and weird beasts, incorporeal in their forms and glowing silver came out of the moon, attacking the enemies, leaving a swath of destruction that even we couldn't make in mere seconds. explosions filled the sky as the frigate successfully pulled out of the spatial storm. The moon kept moving forwards, clearing a path forwards, and it was so ruthless in it's advancement, than not a single one of our opponents was left in the air, all their crafts; a flaming heap of metal slowly sinking into the sea below.

It was over, and there was no one from the opposing side to even come over and surrender, we completely destroyed everything in our path. And to be honest I had my doubts, was this method the best course of action, should I have found another way, even when it seemed as if our enemies left us with no choice. I don't know, and at this point I don't think asking what if questions would help, because it was too late, and there was no pill for regrets. There's bound to consequences for our actions here today. Good or bad, we will deal with when the time comes. I turned the Squire around, and flew it towards the frigate, going past the moon as it slowly fell apart turning into motes of light as it fell in the sea.

The power of a god. Asha was getting more and more familiar with her powers, she was changing, maybe it was not obvious to the others, but it was to me. I didn't feel like I was loosing her, which was quite surprising since you would expect feelings to fade once someone starts to change. No, she still loved me just as I love her, but now ever time we talk, I feel like I'm talking to a stranger, like we were getting to know each other allover again.

It was a rather scary experience for me, but there was no choice in how we lived our lives now. I had to take it as it is, not unless I want to loose one of the women I love. I got out of the squire, and waited for Xaseah and the rest of the squad to fly into the frigate's hanger. Then I went towards her and hugged as tightly as possible, a little worried for her since this fight didn't turn out as expected.

"Are you okay?" I asked her, my voice barely above a whisper.

"you know I'm fine. Come on pull yourself together, we're both fine. And we won without any losses, though if you ask me, I think we need to send the frigate back once we get to base, Malek and dragons have to make a lot of improvements to it, so that we don't get caught with out pants below our waist next time. We're lucky Asha is a goddess." Then she kissed me and made her way to the bridge.

"Yeah we're really lucky." I whispered back after she had left.

The stage has gotten bigger now, and fight won't be settled one on one as it used to before. Now it's not about the personal power of the king, but rather the talent of the people under him. I had to change the way I fought and viewed the world from now on, yes I was power, and I was high King to some of the most powerful races in existence, but that also means I couldn't be as impulsive anymore, a King knows how to end a fight with just his words, rather than his fist.

I think the measure of a good King is not by how hard he fights, or how good his armies were on the battlefield. I think a good king is measured by how much he can protect his people and keep them safe, and his ability to do so with the least sacrifice and bloodshed. Great kingdoms and empires could be built on bloodshed and wars, but an immortal legacy and civilization, is built on the shoulder's of it's people and the benevolence of it's King....all this could all just be some bullshit I couldn't make heads or tails about.

I just became King anyway, and I don't think being King was something I would be able to learn how to do right off the bat. It's going to take me a little while, but there's no problem with that. I'm just going to try my best and take life as it comes, I'm sure I'll figure it out along the way, plus I had people to help do so.

Tiberius Nix was a very practical man, he never went out of his way to look for trouble, and he didn't like people who cause problems either. Desmond was a total and complete idiot, and the complete eradication of three battalion of Aurous Sphere cruisers were all his bloody hot tempered fault. Well at the very least most of his fault. That damn Kael Cor was a trouble maker too, and even though he didn't start the fight, he was all too willing to match Desmond blow for blow, and that told Tiberius one thing...Kael Cor was not here to make peace with the human race who betrayed him, just because he married a vampire.

This was a very real threat, especially after he read the reports of the battle from the soldiers that managed to survive when the cruisers were short circuited by an EMP technology that's never before been seen on Shearath or on any of the other advanced planets with impressive war tech. The appearance of a giant moon during the fight, and the fact that spirits were flying out from it to help join the fight told Tiberius that Kael Cor did not just have technology, he also had really powerful magic at his beck and call.

But he couldn't take this report back to the human coalition, they would find some way to play politics with it, and try to get a profit out of it, and might even end up pissing the so called high King of Spero even more than they already had. Which was why he was here meeting with the council of light, members of other races who were not as blind and greed driven as the human race. They were the only ones who could keep the human race in line, and based on rumors that have been going around for the last fifteen years, the other races of the council of light had wanted to end the six hundred thousand year sentence of the vampires, to foster peace between the origin races of Shearath, but the human race has successfully held back the policy, now it has come back to bite everyone in the ass.

"Based on these reports you've given, and coinciding with elven records, Kael Cor doesn't have a powerful mage with a moon based attribute. That bloody vampire is married to the elven goddess of the moon Saleil. It's been a secret amongst you humans for a while now, but not to the council of light. The vampire Asha Ysmir Leona Cor was at first the human reincarnation of the elven moon goddess, after she was stripped of her divinity.

But from your reports, it seems due has regained her divinity. Which also means for the first time since the vampire war, a god or a goddess is walking amongst the mortals. This is a very delicate situation indeed."

Tiberius looked at the high elf queen as she finished reviewing the reports he had submitted. Tiberius tried not to stare too much, but it was becoming increasingly hard not to do so, after all, the high elf queen is heralded to be the most beautiful woman in the entire universe. And Tiberius would have to be a wooden board if he was not affected by her beauty and regality. But in the end she was just the most beautiful woman, the most beautiful man was sitting right beside her, with a literal golden glow around his body; a celestial. Thank God for the gruff and rough looking Mountain Dwarf King to throw an ugly spot on a rather perfect picture, Tiberius would not have been able to concentrate otherwise.

"Based on the actions of this Kael Cor, it's very obvious he wouldn't respond to threats, and he's also here with vengeance on his mind. He's a threat, but he's loved a lot of humans, and now vampires, Nephilim and Serpentis have been added to the mix. I rather not have another war on our hands, especially if our brother race the Nephilim would be involved. We can't kill him, though the bounty on his head might take care of that for us." The celestial said as he looked at Tiberius with a blank look on his face.

"Killing him would be close to impossible, not when he's married to a goddess. And yes all three races of dwarves, elves, and celestials have our own methods to deal with gods, but Kael Cor is a weaver, and now he's king to the most powerful combat race on Shearath apart from the werewolves. But the werewolves have been domesticated by the bloody human race, so much so that they forgotten the ancient heritage and power, they'll no help against the vampires. We need a simple solution, the planet and it's colonies are facing threats from other alien races, we have to avoid any sort of major conflict." The elven queen said.

"Well we can exactly call dem bloody vampires to have a sit down and a mug of meadow while we banter on about the alluring figure of ye elven wenches. This boy Kael he be here for blood, and it's going take a lot more than ye words to calm the lads boiling blood." The dwarves king said.

"Well then, what do you suggest we do?" The celestial Arch Bishop asked with his still emotionless and bland look on his face.

Tiberius also wanted to know what sort of solution the dwarven king would come with. Kael Cor really was a real threat, but at this point a full blown war was not something Shearath needed. If there was another more peaceful and safer path to take, then that's the one that's needed.

"We all know dem humans be needing a school in they manners, bloody liars and cheats the lot of them. But we here be knowing that the lad will only be going for dem human leaders and also for his bloody inheritance. I saw we let him rough up dem tall greedy buggers a bit. Then we be inviting him to join the council, a new an reformed council mind ye, as we equal. I bet you Odin's beard hair that he be more amicable to peace after he be exorcising them demons in his heart."

Tiberius was a little at loss for words. Basically what the dwarven King is saying is that they should leave the human race to face the music alone. But it seems they're all forgetting that they also participated in the war, and fifteen years of pretending to make things won't offset six hundred thousand plus years of fucking up.

"I think what you've suggested is a good idea. We just have to wait to see what happens, and how the humans will handle Kael Cor. However I still think we should reach out first, test the waters and see how he reacts to relating with us. The humans need a lesson that much we can agree, but they're still the most populated race, not to mention powerful enough to face all three of our races army and win. They have weavers, so it wouldn't be wise to completely write them off." The celestial said.

"So what you're basically saying is that we have to play both sides. Let them tear each other apart, but be ready to intervene in the favor of whoever is winning. Agreed, that's a plausible plan. Very well then, I guess this matter is concluded, and the meeting is adjourned. Tiberius we will discover your fate and the fate of your army at a later date. Have a good day."

Tiberius was livid and angry, but somehow he expected this to happen. It was all his fault for thinking that more than half of the council that left an entire civilization trapped, starving and suffering in a prison six hundred thousand years was better than humanity that had enough good in them to completely overshadow the elves, dwarves and celestials.

This decision of theirs leads inevitably to a war, there was no help to be had. Tiberius knew he couldn't go back to the coalition, and the remaining members of the council of light were of no help as they would rather the human race suffer for all of their combined sins, not caring about the billions of innocents who might be caught up in this war. Tiberius knew he had no choice, if he wanted to stop this incoming conflict, there was only one man he could go to now, and that man was Kael Cor himself. Hopefully he gives a better answer, if not, then Shearath would burn.
