"What happened here?!" Asha asked with a shocked look on her face.

But it was not just her, Xaseah, Teluna, a visibly upset Nisi, and a dumbfounded Dwayne looked on with dislodged jaws. Asare did not have any reaction whatsoever. The tower had changed, it was no longer just a unevenly hewed cave, but a open and extremely wide indoor field. With windows placed two meters away from each other around the entire perimeter of the first floor of the tower, the blue light that streamed from the district illuminated their surroundings well enough for them to see.

[TASK COMPLETED, FIRST FLOOR OF THE TOWER CONSTRUCTED.]

It was an indoor Olympic field, or at least something closer to it. But at least it was big enough that the twenty vampires outside could now come in and live within the tower. But I can't say I'm satisfied with everything I was seeing. This was just one large room, and there was no bedrooms, or any other extra rooms to be had, in short there was no privacy here.

"How is this possible?" Teluna asked in surprise.

I turned to look at him In surprise, Teluna hardly ever said anything as the young vampire was rather reserved. Him asking a question showed how shocked he was about the current state of the tower. But there was nothing to it, I took my time to explain what had happened, making sure the others could hear me. There were gasps of surprise during my explanation, even from Asare who had no idea that the tower itself was special before he gave me the crystal.

It was also at that point that he explained to me that he had, had the crystal smuggled from the outside by a gang affiliated with one of the bloodline covens. Which meant there was a possibility that the people here were yet to discover the secret of the tower itself. After a few more explanations, we had the Vampires outside come in. They were just as surprised if not more so, but until we had enough strength to defend ourselves, there was no need for any one of them to find out about the origins of the tower, or the fact that I had partial access to my system.

After that, everybody had dinner, we gathered around and drank blood together, exchanging stories, hopes, dreams and ambitions for our future. There was not much I could add, on account of my missing memories, I felt really out of place among them. But watching them from afar, with a proverbial hang man's noose over their head gave me some sort of peace. I watched them smile and chatter the night away, not at all worried about the dangers that existed outside this walls.

Apart from me, Asha, Xaseah, Asare, Teluna, Nisi and scum bag Dwayne, we were joined by twenty three other vampires. Fourteen of them were kids between the age of five and seventeen, the rest were their parents. The hundreds of other vampires, had all turned to face their bleak futures, hoping to find a way they can survive, rather than putting their fates in the hands of a comatose savior. No body knew I was awake, and to be honest that works well in my favor.

I already had plans to weave the rune BREAK on as many picks as I possibly can, while the change and understanding of the rune came rather quick, I felt that what I had grasped about it was absolute. Now all I needed was for this people to work for their survival, while I make a journey deep into the pit. The monsters hiding within its dark gloom, will give me the soul energy I need to not just make my tower a fortress, but to train my abilities and propel me to the next realm.

"My lord Kael? If it's not too much to ask. The children would like to hear a story." A voice dragged me out of my thoughts.

I looked up at a rather familiar face. It was the middle aged vampire I had asked to previously test my runes. Just before I went into my coma. I turned to look at everyone who was looking at me with rather expectant eyes. I was stumped, since I had no idea what story to tell, I had lost my memories for Christ sake. I was about to open my mouth to decline when I felt Asare shove a book into my hand.

[BASIC STUDY OF THE SWORD, AND THE GUIDE TO CREATING YOUR OWM SWORD STYLE]

I knew that Asare did not just give me a weapon's manual and expected me to somehow miraculously craft the description of how to swing swords into a story. No, he probably wanted me to read from the book hidden in the middle.

[THE SECRET HISTORIES OF SHEARATH, AND THE LOST LEGACIES OF THE WAY]

CHAPTER ONE: EARTH

"This is a story of how our world was born, how our universe was born. It's funny, just nine years living in this world and I've come to see it as my own. It's as if I have accepted my fate, that no matter what I do, or how I live, I'm never going home, I'm never going to see Earth again."

I paused, as my heart suddenly jolted. There was something about this book that scared the ever living hell out of me, I wanted to close it and throw it as far away from me as possible, but I couldn't, with every body here looking at me, such an action is bound to be suspicious if not out right crazy. Whatever it was, I had to deal with this pit in my stomach, and read a story to children.

"Shearath has an origin that almost everybody will never accept, but this is the truth. In order to understand our present, and prepare for our future. We need to master our past, our true past. A past that existed long before the birth of the WAY."

I paused again, raising my head to see everyone looking at me attentively. Talk about the WAY is always interesting for the most part, especially for vampires since it is something we yearn for, something that's so close but yet so far with a complete inability to reach for it, especially when it was standing right in front of us.

"In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth, and above the heavens he made more earths. But there was darkness, void, emptiness and nothingness. Then God said, "let there be light" and there was light. With his words, the first stars were born, trillions of them over the cosmos of the primordial universe, shining brightly over the numerous earths and heavens that existed in the sea of stars.

And then he made life, spreading them wide through the endless cosmos, steeped and hidden in between billions of stars in the confines of his primordial universe. And of all those worlds, his crowning jewel, the only world with knowledge of his power came into being...…..Earth, also known by many names. Terra, Gaia, Pangea, etc.

And on that world, the most powerful race in the universe was born, the humans. But they were not strong because of their great technology, or powerful magic. They're powerful because of one thing and one thing alone...….their inherent potential to be gods.

This people loved to dream, and from their dreams came creations, imaginations, and worst of all free will. Every choice they made could not be calculated or quantified, they changed so much and always that the future became a puzzle of infinite possibilities and outcomes, it was a world where something as mundane as killing an ant would send the world into a spiral of despair and joy, or set up the foundation for a destiny meant to shake its weak foundations.

Such power, broke the very spirit of the earth. The ability to change and affect the lives of a million people and animals based on the split second decision of choosing to wear either a red or blue shirt, even to crack and collapse the very foundations of the earth itself. Their abilities to influence fate, future and destiny left Earth weak and unable to keep up with their growth, as every choice made began to tear apart the fabric of reality itself.

So the Earth decided to channel their free will, to pool all of their dreams, imaginations and choices together and store it somewhere different, somewhere safe. And with that choice, the first one Earth ever made, the first of her sub-universes was born, and within it, the monsters and angels of every human nightmares and dreams came into existence, living, breathing, multiplying and choosing. And because they're born from a race of people with the power to affect fate, the earth began to fall once more, incapable of withstanding the power of free will and choices from not just her inhabitants, but an entire universe of human born beings. And so another sub universe was born, layered within the first like the peels of an onion. But eventually mankind and it's mind would prove too much for the earth to handle, so another universe was born, and another and another, six in all until the seventh was born, the core universe.

And with it's birth, so also was Shearath born, and the WAY, is a manifestation of the will of Earth, her mind, her soul, and her heart. All that remains to complete this cycle of creation, is her body, the earth itself. And if she can come here, to the core, and establish her self at the center of the seven sub universes, her decay would end, and we all would live.

But she is running out of time, for not just sickness from within, caused by the beloved children of her creator, but a holocaust from within the cosmos, a monster of pure darkness and nothingness. He was coming for her, and she could feel him everyday as he snuffed her millions of brothers and sisters out of existence. She was in danger as he draws close with every second and minute, leaving her only hope of survival to the humans that broke her, and the dragons she's made off.

This is not a story, this is true, this is truth, and this is fact. A warning for all, from the darkness to come. Seven dragons to ride, nine kings to command. Dragons hidden in core, true destiny to find, of SOUL, MIND AND MAGIC the elders to guide, of FIRE HEART, WATER WILL, EARTH FAITH AND WIND SPIRIT, the elementals to call. Only they can save her from the darkness to come, and I know this, for I saw it when I died, for I know this, and know this true because....I Am The King Of The Elder Dragon Of Souls"
