Epilogue: Part 1
I stood in the shadows in one corner of our school grounds, staring at girls. They were playing volleyball, looking quite healthy and seemed to be having lots of fun.
Well, to be more accurate, I was watching Tomonori as she played with a big smile on her face.
“Aikawa, just look at those breasts. This is the best, isn’t it? I just want to jump right in there with them.”
“Those things are probably best left unsaid.”
“Hm? I mean, I’m a mammal after all.”
Well… it’s not like I couldn’t understand where he was coming from.

“I’ve always thought that I was a vampire ninja that could summon fireballs. But there really aren’t ninjas like that, are there?”
“Yeah. I haven’t heard of a ninja like that.”
“Hmm, I’ve been thinking. I have this really unusual liking for oil. And I don’t get hungry. Could it be… I’m a robot or something?”
“That’s probably just that masou weapon person. I don’t think he’s a robot… maybe something more like a modified human? Like, a sorcerer or a summoner or something like that.”
“Ugh, so I’m really not a vampire ninja…”
Tomonori let out a lonely-sounding sigh, and I scratched the back of my head.
“Well, if you believe it, isn’t it fine?”
“Huh?”
“I think of myself as a zombie. To be honest, I have no idea what something like me would be called, but I think of myself as a zombie. So no matter what other people say, I’m a zombie.”
“What’s that supposed to mean? I have no idea. Ahahaha!”
Tomonori opened her mouth wide and laughed.
“But that’s all a high school student like me could say.”
“… Well, I guess I’ll do that. If my husband tells me something like that, then I really have no choice but to follow his advice.”
“Just quit it with the husband business. Can’t we just be friends?”
“By the way…”
“Hmm?”
“You were a zombie?”
She didn’t know…?
Tomonori flashed her teeth and gave me a broad smile, and I couldn’t help but give her a smile in return.
