Wei Fang had his swiveled chair face the large window behind him, absentmindedly spinning his pen as he listen to his secretary's report.

"CEO Bai's secretary informed me that she called in for a sick day, so she unfortunately cannot attend the meeting. Secretary Anderson asked if we don't mind rescheduling?"

Wei Fang's secretary did not hear a reply from him, "CEO Wei?"

"Hm? Ah, yes, of course I don't mind." Wei Fang snapped out of his trance. "Tell them that we of Weishi Corporation is already fortunate enough to have CEO Bai squeeze a bit of her time for us, considering how busy she always is."

Busy taking care of Ethan Li, that is.

Ethan Li's incident two days ago was not really a secret, so it's no wonder the news reached his ears too.

"Thea is a sweet girl, she can't stand the sight of anyone suffering...especially if that person is close to her." These words came out of Wei Fang's lips, unconsciously recalling a memory.

"Pardon?" His was intrigued. All throughout the years of his employment with Wei Fang, he had never discussed his past with Lillie Bai to him.

"What a lucky guy that Ethan Li is..." Wei Fang said under his breath, his eyes glinting with hidden menace.

Thea, you can only be mine and no one else's.

"Aiyo youngsters these days ah, so impatient." Nanny Ying shook her head, humor rolling with her tone as she sat on the kitchen's table with the cook.

"Everyone in Tranquil Villa noticed how the two have gotten closer. It wouldn't be long before we hear little footsteps running around the house." The cook is a elderly woman who has the same age as Nanny Ying. She was one of the cooks in the old Bai estate before Lillie had asked her to come with her and Butler Tian to Tranquil Villa.

When she was relocated here, she and Nanny Ying had hit it off immediately as if they're long time friends.

"Little flower is the nickname we use to call her when she was young. She's just the sweetest child you could ever meet." The cook reminisced. "You wouldn't even believe me if I tell you that she's incredibly shy when she was young."

Nanny Ying was obviously surprised by this. Miss Bai and the word shy don't fit in one sentence. "Shy? Really?"

The cook chuckled. "You can't even make her come out behind her mother or father in front of guests. Also when she entered middle school, there was this little boy she would always talk about. Her chubby cheeks would turn beet red every time she tells us about him. That was the first time we heard her talk so much about a boy."

"Her first crush then? What happened to that boy now?"

"Eh, we not sure. One day Lillie came home crying. She locked herself in her room for many days, refusing to talk to anyone. When she finally decided to show herself properly, she became a bit distant and cold, but it wasn't that severe. We never heard her mention that boy again since."

"Even with her change, Lillie still tried to be the sweet girl she is. The smiles she gives however, did not come too often as it was before. Then that incident happened..."

"Incident?"

The cook looked at Nanny Ying and sighed, "Oh my, I talk too much. But all I can say is that Lillie's personally completely changed to what it was before she and your boy got together." She stood up and turn off the stove.

"But don't worry, despite the coldness she portrays to others, deep down she's still that sweet and kind-hearted girl. And thanks to your boy, Ethan, she started to show the real her once more."

"Thank you for telling me this, Annie."

Annie waved her hand. "You're family now. Lillie sees you as her family. Me and old Tian watch that little girl grow up, and we know she trusts you too."

Annie took the ladle and poured the soup onto two bowls, "Here you go. Give it to those two while it's hot."

Lillie pinched Ethan's side suddenly.

"Aiyo!" Ethan yelped. "Why did you do that all of a sudden? I already said I was sorry."

"Your apology does not make up for the fact that you made me miss a meeting."

"A meeting with who? Are they that important?"

"On the second thought, I'm glad you passed me your fever." Lillie rolled herself into a burrito.

Ethan was confused. "Are you alright?"

He received a muffled voice and shuffling as response. "What?" He brought his ears closer.

"It's nothing..." He heard her say. "I just feel...really bored right now."

Ethan can feel when his wife is upset. "Hey," he softly said, "wanna play video games?"

Without a second thought, Lillie said, "Game on."
