This woman was really something else. Just because others don't have a weird taste like them doesn't mean they're inferior.

Her clothes are indeed from an expensive brand, but the way she wore them just spoke gaudy and grotesquely disarranged.

Bluntly speaking, she and her companions looked like they jumped into a pool of clothes and randomly choose whatever to wear as long as it's expensive.

And is her brain rotting from the lack of proper usage?

She, Lillie Bai, has a sugar daddy?

The cute manager swiped the uncultured woman's credit card. Even if she had displayed such behavior, he didn't charged her double the amount of what Lillie payed, for it would be against their store's core values.

"Uh, this..." The cute manager's eyebrows furrowed, unsure how he would approach the matter to the uncultured woman. "Ma'am, your card has been declined."

"What?!" The woman exclaimed. "That can't be right, that credit card has a lot of money in it! Try again."

The cute manager tried again for many times before finally knowing the answer. "It seems your bank account has been frozen."

"This...this can't be." She must've gone past the limit of her expenses.

Her husband warned her that if she spend too much, she'll freeze her account. She didn't believed him at first. But now, she regretted not listening.

This is a complete disaster, and it's all that sl*t's fault! And undoubtedly, these socialites she invited will kick her out of the group and make fun of her.

How can she escape this humiliation?

If only she brought cash with her.

"Do you need to borrow money?" One of her companions asked mockingly.

The uncultured woman gritted her teeth and glared at the cause of her problem. "You! You must've done something for this guy to pretend my card was invalid!"

Ahh...listening to stupid people spewing nonsense can really cause your brain to get dull.

The cute manager's patience was running out, he had enough of it. "Ma'am, this is none of this young lady's fault. If you continue this unruly behavior, I have no choice but to ask the security to escort you out." He said, eyeing the two guards who were already waiting for his signal.

"You!" The uncultured woman heard her companions chuckled behind her back. They were intentionally being silent the whole time, watching her make a fool out of herself.

This was just a simple prank to let her know her place.

Who told her to ack so haughty? Unlike her, they were real young misses from distinguished families.

She's just an outsider placed on a lofty seat. She haven't even proved anything or did something remarkable, and yet she had the audacity to act as if she's above them?

They only pretended to wear these horrendously styled clothing just for the purpose of exposing her real skin, and letting her know how stupid she really was.

Nothing but a fake gold-digger leaching out of her husband's wealth. Just what on Earth did she fed him to marry a boorish woman like her?

And she's slandering this innocent random woman out of nowhere, spatting insults that should belong to her.

Heh! A first class hypocrite!

The uncultured woman's face turned pitch black. She refuse to acknowledge that this was her fault.

She did what any crazy person like her would do. Her hand rose, ready to strike it on Lillie's face.

"Ah!" The uncultured woman cried out in pain when her wrist was suddenly caught in a tight grip.

"What do you think you're doing to my wife?" A devilish handsome man in a striking, all black suit, appeared on the scene.

Ethan's eyes glinted with malice, his killing intent flew in the air that it nearly made everyone near him suffocate.

"T-that man..."

"Is that Ethan Li?!"

The small crowd that had gathered in the pastry shop gasped, recognizing the infamous Devil.

What did be just said? His wife?

Ethan roughly let go of the woman's wrist, almost making her stumble on the ground, and went to his wife's side. "Lillie, are you alright?"

"L-Li—Lillie?" The uncultured woman's eyes almost bulged out of their sockets, and she wasn't the only one who had that reaction.

"Oh my god, that woman was actually Lillie Bai?!" The socialites shook and took a step back in fear. They didn't do anything to offend her, right? It was all done by that uncultured woman who thought she could trample anyone on her feet!

How laughable. Her words from earlier was a slap in the face.

Who's her sugar daddy?

Who's from a middle-class?

Lillie Bai and sugar daddy does not belong in one sentence. And if you consider Lillie Bai as someone from the middle-class, then what do you call them and the rest of the Elite Society who are inferior to the Bai family?!

Ethan glared at the stunned securities lingering behind. "What are you two waiting for? Get her out of my sight!" He barked.

Everyone flinched from his thunderous voice.

The securities swiftly did as they were told and grabbed the woman by her arms. She thrashed around and yelled out curses.

"Let go of me, you brutes! Do you know who I am?! I'm Director Ji's wife! You dare treat me this way?! Say goodbye to your jobs once he heard of this!"

Her companions took advantage of this moment and sneakily made their escape to avoid being involved, and so did most of the crowd.

Lillie sighed, switching her attention to the shaken up manager. "I changed my mind, I'll have everything to-go."

As if her words exempted him from being turned to stone by Ethan's wrath, the cute manager quickly ordered the staffs to pack her order.

"H-here you are, miss. I'm terribly sorry for this, it's all my fault." He lowered his head in shame.

His heart was pounding loudly. Not only was this beautiful woman taken, she's actually Lillie Bai! How bad was his luck right now?

Lillie shook her head, "I also apologize, it seems trouble always find their way to me." She felt a little guilty.

Though she had been silent most of the time, she could've handled it in another way.

Lillie gently squeezed Ethan's hand. "Help me?" She motioned to the paper bags she was carrying. Ethan nodded, his anger cooling down.

Together, the two left, unaware of the figure lurking from the shadow.

Wei Fang was there since the beginning, just waiting for the right moment to chime in and save Lillie from the uncultured woman's bullying.

He clenched his jaw, eyes shaking in an attempt to contain the anger from erupting.

His plan was foiled. That Li bastard, always getting between him and Thea.

He was so close, so close to approach her, to finally talk to her.

Damn it!

Wei Fang punched the wall, creating a large dent. Exhaling, he composed himself before leaving the corner where he was hiding.

His face shifted back to his usual gentle smile as he walk back to the restaurant.

He'll have his change again, soon.

"How did you know exactly where I was?" They walked out of the mall and into the parking lot.

"It was a hunch." Really, it was.

He knew Lillie so well that he went to every cafe, bakery, and pastry shop there was in the mall. It was by luck that the pastry shop she was in was the third one he looked up.

Not sensing any lie, Lillie hummed. She was impressed and slightly amused.

She then teased him, "Are you sure didn't put on any tracking device on me?"

"I was planning to." He shamelessly admitted.

Lillie chuckled, "Alright, sugar daddy."

"...?!"
