As expected of HL hotel's presidential suite, the standards was befitting of that to an emperor. The hotel manager gave the two a key card that unlocks their room and have access the whole floor from the elevator.

No one can come to the presidential suite's floor unless you swipe it on the elevator. It's for safety purposes and also to attain complete privacy.

Lillie and Ethan went to their bedroom and started to unpack. They were only staying for a week. Mr. Bai promised his daughter that she can go back to the company after their vacation.

How did Mr. Bai manage to make his wife agree you ask?

With the help of Lillie, Mrs. Bai really can't say no to her only daughter thus, the Empress Dowager reluctantly agreed.

"Would you like to have a stroll?" Ethan asked. He used to come a lot at France, but it was all business related. Though, he's familiar to some of its famous tourist attraction. Lillie, on the other hand, certainly know France just like how she knows her backyard.

Her maternal family lives here after all.

"Sure, I also wanted to take you somewhere." She replied.

Ethan nodded obediently, a heartwarming smile graced his perfectly sculptured face. The thought of them being official felt like a dream come true—accurately speaking, it was.

Never, in his life, would he expect the change in their relationship. If people knew of their relationship, they would probably vomit blood in disbelief. You can't really blame them, because even he doesn't believe it either.

These two powerful figures of the Elite Society are like two sets of opposing poles. Never to interact just like two positive magnets.

Lillie being White Bird was a big revelation and took a great toll on his mental health. Fate really loves tormenting him, to actually be closer to the woman he love.

He wanted to smack himself silly to all of those childish insults he'd thrown her that time.

"What seems to occupy your thoughts?" The said woman asked, her eyebrow arched in question.

"I was just thinking about how our story is a bit amusing." He confessed.

Lillie joined him on the bed, sitting beside him. "How so?"

Ethan chuckled, "For starters, you being White Bird. Who would've thought that the famous Lillie Bai of the Elite Society is the infamous White Bird of the Underworld, one of the Legendary Leaders. If I think about it now, it should've been quite obvious. Like, White Phoenix Empire and White Bird Organization? Funny how coincidental it is. Plus your family name Bai, which means white."

Lillie lightly laughed. Indeed, the clues were pretty obvious. It would take a person to know the real identity of White Bird to actually put two and two together. She shook her head at their obliviousness.

If the Ethan Li, known as the former or real Vermillion Dragon, did not notice their similarities...then, who can?

"Some clever ones had their suspicions and had tried to expose me many times. But, knowing who they are stepping, it's safe to say that all of their efforts are futile." Lillie explained. "They don't have any evidences of me being White Bird for I have both the Government and the Underworld Reapers' backing."

Then realization struck her. "Now that I think about it, you also have the same situation."

Seeing as how his head tilted and the confusion painting his face, Lillie claimed that he's not aware of it.

"You being Vermillion Dragon and being the CEO of Hong Long Corporation?" She stated.

"Ah," his reply was.

"I can't believe you didn't notice." She covered her mouth to hide her amusement.

"I know about that, it's just that it's been a long time since I've heard the name Vermillion Dragon." He admitted, scratching the back of his head—a mannerism Lillie thought was cute.

"You tend to be inattentive of your surroundings sometimes."

"Only when I'm with you." Ethan said, smoothly.
