Understanding the situation, Su Lian doesn't know whether to laugh or cry. That little girl is in love with her brother and she saw her leave his apartment with him. Feeling threatened, she came to confront her.

So daring. Running up to people without even knowing their identities. What if she was a petty person whose narrow mind clouded all reasoning.

Nevertheless, Su Lian still has a good impression of her. She likes people who are open about what they want instead of plotting behind backs.

Getting in the car, she instructs the driver to go to Yichen's school so she can pick him up.

When they arrive, she finds him waiting eagerly in his class along with several other tiny figures.

Once he sees her, he throws himself into her arms and babbles on about how his first day of school went.

"Well, I'm glad you had fun baby."

He rummages through his backpack and pulls out a piece of paper.

"Look at what I drew today."

Su Lian takes it from him and her smile falters once she sets her eyes on it.

It is a colorful drawing done completely in crayon. It isn't a work of art, but you can still make out what it's supposed to be.

There are three people holding hands. Two big people on both sides and a smaller one in the middle. A man, a woman, and a child. It looks like a happy family of three.

"It's me, you and daddy."

Seeing her rigid expression, Su Yichen thinks his mother is displeased with his drawing. Looking dejected, he stares at his feet.

"You don't like it, mommy?"

Realizing that she has a frown on her face, Su Lian shakes her head and smiles.

"Of course I love it, baby. Anything my Xiao Chen makes is the best."

She kisses his forehead and holds his tiny hand as they walk towards her car. Feeling much better, Su Yichen starts talking more enthusiastically about his day.

Su Lian barely has the mind to listen. Her thoughts wander off to his drawing.

This wasn't the first time Yichen had drawn a picture of his family. He would draw the two of them and sometimes add her grandmother and Chris.

Now he suddenly added a father to the picture.

'Was sending him to school a mistake?'

His next sentence immediately answers her question:

"My teacher said that everyone has a daddy. Where is mine?"
