A long time has passed and it's getting late.

Most people have finished their meals so the banquet will end soon and guests will start to leave.

After looking around, Qin Rong nudges her daughter who nods her head in understanding.

"Younger sister." Su Mo Chou deliberately yells across the hall in a loud voice. Once she sees that she has gotten everyone's attention, she skips over to Su Lian with a bright smile on her face. "Mother and I got this for you while we were out shopping."

Su Mo Chou has a shopping bag in her hand. "They are gifts for my little nephew."

Little nephew?

Su Lian's eyes turn frosty, but Su Mo Chou pretends not to notice. She pulls out a pair of toddler-sized denim overalls from the bag. "Do you like them? They're designer."

"And these." She pulls out a blue backpack with stuffed with school supplies. "They are for him to use once he starts school."

Su Mo Chou could not find any information on Su Yichen because Ryan had covered everything up. She couldn't even get his name or birth date, so she had to improvise.

From the description she got from Murong Ning, the boy could be anywhere between the age of two and six.

Since Su Lian had left four years ago without any visible signs of pregnancy, he can't be older than three. So Su Lian's son is either two or three years old.

Thinking this way, she is sure that the boy is not in school so Su Lian cannot refute her words.

Everyone turns their curious eyes towards the pair of half-sisters.

Su Duyi and Su Yanyu stay frozen in shock.

Su Lian has a son?

No way, this can't be true.

"Su Mo Chou. What nonsense are you blabbing? What nephew? What school?" Su Feng's roaring voice comes from the side. He stomps towards his two daughters while practically seething in anger.

"Father, don't you know about your grandson?"

"What grandson? I don't have a grandchild, none of my children are married."

"Younger sister... you didn't tell father?" Su Mo Chou puts her hand across her mouth as if she has unintentionally exposed something she shouldn't have. Her face carries a mixed expression of shock and guilt.

"Speak! What are you saying?"

Su Mo Chou puts on a pitiful appearance and tries to hold back tears while choking on her words. "I-I I don't know. Younger sister she- she-"

"I have a son." Su Lian says while staring directly into her father's eyes.

Hiding her son is one thing, but denying his existence is something that she'll never do.

If Su Mo Chou thinks that informing this 'family' about her son will bother her, then she needs to reevaluate herself.

Looking at her complacent smile, Su Lian could not help but feel disappointed.

Is this the best she could come up with?

She was expecting an elaborate show of some sort but all she gets is Su Mo Chou's mediocre acting.

It seems that she overestimated her.
