Chu Weiye stepped in with hasty steps and her eyes focused on the one who was sitting there wearing a wolf fur coat indoors with someone servicing her foot. In her anger she didn't realise the one kneeling in front of the woman he hated was her father. That's how consumed with rage she was as she walked towards Xing,

"You vixen! How dare you?", she coughed as she had ran here from the banquet Hall.

"Continue!", Xing switched her foot and silenced Lord Chu from speaking. His back arched a bit more seeing his daughter behaving like a shrewd in front of the Emperor and Lord Li.

Has she lost her brain?

"You..."

"Ah! The elegance of the Empress of the Great Wind Kingdom I restored!", Xing sneered interrupting Weiye.

In fact Xing was hurting in her heart seeing the extremely uncouth behaviour of Chu Weiye who had a slightly protruding belly. She must be at least six months pregnant. Xing could sense she had twins in her belly, a boy and a girl. She felt happy.

But it hurt her that Weiye is not worrying about her bearing as the Empress or about the health of the babies she is carrying and is acting like a loud mouthed stupid woman right in front of her husband who is also the Emperor.

How blind was I to bring her into the palace? Was she always this terrible? Or because she knows she can't be moved out of her position and no one else is challenging her, she's become this brazen? Well... Anyhow, this cannot be allowed to continue anymore.

"You... How dare you...", Weiye mumbled and stepped back in fear at the sharp eyes of Xing that looked like it would cut her to pieces. In a moment the entire study turned a bit more chilly.

"Bow to the Emperor, first... Your highness!", Xing stood up and untied the fur cloak revealing the white tiger token all the while glaring at Weiye. She gently placed the cloak on the chair after folding it and walked towards Weiye who stood there stupefied by the mocking tone Xing used at her.

" Did you see your daughter's behaviour, Chu Yixin?", Xing kicked him in the stomach and he bowed clenching his belly and coughed blood by the strength of her hit. Xing had no intention of letting the Chu family alive after that day.

"Is that... Is that my father? ", Weiye screamed. "You... How..? How... Could...", she placed her hands over her cheeks as she never expected a woman to treat her respected father like that and turned at the emperor, " Is this how you let others treat your father-in-law? Are you even the highest authority of the land? Why don't you..."

Slap!

Xing slapped Weiye hard making even the Emperor stand up from his seat with his face paled. She is the mother of his child afterall!

Xing saw from the corner of her eyes, the Emperor trying to say something and pointed her finger at him to shut up.

Then Xing grabbed Weiye's chin hard, " Is this how you talk to your husband, not to mention the Emperor? Speak with respect to the Emperor!", she said gritting her teeth.

Chenglei sitting with his legs crossed almost rolled his eyes with the hypocrisy in her words.

Respect the Emperor? Didn't she just point her finger at his brother to shut up?

But seeing his brother listening to her and sitting back in his throne, he felt pleasantly surprised. For some reason he found the one showing his back at him and standing with her back straight with her hands on the Empress' face threatening her right in front of the Emperor, made him feel familiar.

"Your Majesty!", Chu Weiye spoke with a trembling tone as Xing pulled her face towards the Emperor.

"I apologise for my insolent behaviour previously",tears started streaming down her eyes.

"I...", the Emperor was tongue - tied as to what he could say. Weiye apologising.... Never happened before!

"Well, now... That wasn't hard, was it?",Xing plastered a grin in her face letting go of Weiye's face.

Xing looked at her face red with anger and her makeup ruined with her tears and her lips were quivering in mixed emotions of embarrassment, fear and anger.

"How could you let some woman treat your wife like this? And my father... ", she started sobbing and Xing rolled her eyes.

"Your Highness... Please don't...", Lord Chu tried crawl to her feet to stop his daughter from embarrassing him any further. Right now her behaviour is not polite, elegant or composed as the mother of a Nation's should be.

AHHHHH!

Noticing the Emperor not answering her, she let out a scream as if she was in great pain or mentally unstable...

As Xing was watching, she ran towards the wooden pillar and the Emperor shouted, "Don't", as if he knew what she is going to do.

Xing was shocked. Is she trying to bang her stomach in the pillar? Or her head?

Well, whatever the case is, only the children in her belly would be affected...not her! Is this how she is threatening the Emperor till now? Blackmailing she'd kill the child in her belly if he angers her? But will she actually?

Xing wanted to bang her own head for bringing in such a spiteful woman near such an honest and lovely person like Kouki.

I'm sorry!

"No....", the Emperor got up from his chair and ran towards Weiye to stop her while Xing pulled the white sword from the double sword the Emperor keeps in his study from its scabbard and threw it at the pillar she was running to and with a clink the sword hit the pillar just in front of Weiye making her stop.

Hah! Just as I thought! She won't kill herself! Or hurt the child in her belly... They are her token for a good life in the palace. Why would she actually hurt her children? All her threats are empty! What a manipulative and vile woman! Using the goodwill of the Emperor to further her agenda. Does she realise how much stress she is putting on him with her behaving this way? Does she even care about the person who is caring for her still?

"Come on! Slice your throat in the blade! You'll die for sure!", Xing grabbed Weiye's hair and dragged her near the sword and Weiye used all her strength to pull back from the blade of the sword. She really got scared by the strength she got pulled towards the sword.

" No.... I can't die! ", she screamed and Xing pulled her by the hair and stood her up against the wall and grabbed her throat but not with force.

Weiye looked at the burning eyes filled with righteous rage and she remembered the one who had figured her out,

"Your Highness!", she mumbled as her face paled and her entire body trembled.

How come a dead person is alive?

"So you remembered who I am!", Xing smirked.

"Mingxia...", the Emperor placed his hand on Xing's shoulders and looked at her pleading making Xing sigh.

He Didn't want the mother of his children to be hurt.

"Do you realise what you are doing, Weiye?", Xing's tone became softer as she looked at her, "You could have gotten the best place in the entire world... Not just the phoenix throne... But here...", Xing pointed at the Emperor's heart and Xing's eyes got clouded, " The heart of the purest and the most loving person I know! Yet... Yet you have to act like this.... I've already advised you and still you decide to not change... Unforgivable! ", Xing's tone got a bit deeper and she turned to look at the Emperor,

" Kouki! Get back! I, the Divine Ruler cannot let the Empress of this kingdom act this way. Even you cannot stop me! ", her tone was firm and assertive and her eyes were glowing in the mild sunlight entered through the window making her look majestic.

The Emperor sighed and Xing could see the pain he was in and closed her eyes retracting the tears that were threatening to fall from her eyes.

I'm sorry, Kouki!

"Chu Weiye!", Xing turned to look at her, "Your father... You saw the position he was in front of me... He is nothing! He cannot help you even if you are in a bind! In this place and everywhere else, the Emperor is the only support you have. So treat him with reverence as you must!

And you... I let you take the phoenix throne from me... I gave the throne to you and I can pluck it back from you and give it to someone else I find much more suitable than you! Do you believe that? ", her tone was firm and her eyes were sharp making Weiye cower in fear.

" Yes... Yes your Highness! ", she answered.

" And another thing! ", Xing gritted her teeth,"If I hear or see that one more time you try to or threaten to hurt your children... The ones in your belly and also Ah Xuan... I WILL MAKE SURE YOUR FATHER SEES HIS TWO DAUGHTERS BEING FED TO THE IMPERIAL GUARD DOGS !", she spoke as a warning.

"Chu Yixin! You remember my promise from before, right?", Xing turned at Lord Chu who was slumping on the floor with no strength in his body.

"Yes, Miss Táng!", he replied but Xing could see his empty eyes had no emotions in it. He looked completely out of sorts.

You shouldn't have insulted my mother and then tried to insult me too! Soon the whole East will know who actually helped the Empire more and I will not let you die peacefully! Xing decided in her heart.

"Chu Weiye! Know the place you are in! If you even make a single mistake anymore, with me watching you'll end up in the cold palace and your phoenix seal will be passed to someone worthy to be standing beside the Emperor. No one hurts my little Emperor! As of now, you have lost the privilege to stand beside him in my eyes. Prove me wrong! ", she spoke with her tone a bit gentler towards her. She still carries her nephew and niece.

" Yes, your Highness! ", Weiye answered back and Xing couldn't find any truthfulness in her eyes and she knew she still has no interest in changing but she decided to give her a final chance for the sake of the pleading look from the Emperor.

"Fine! Now pull yourself together and attend the banquet you've arranged, properly! And don't pull stupid tricks like this anymore on me!", Xing threw the fake invite at her and Weiye opened and closed her mouth trying to refuse Xing's allegations but she left without saying anything in the end.

She was confused by the sudden arrival of threat to her throne and wanted to leave the presence of the tiger who threatened her!

"And don't think you could get your sister to marry Lord Li! He is my man!", Xing whispered in weiye's ears making her eyes wide with surprise and she left after taking a glance at her father on the floor.

What a waste! And did she humiliate my sister in front of Lord Li for that purpose?

"Miss Táng!... I...", Lord Chu who was still in the floor tried to say something but Chenglei's cold voice interrupted him.,

"Lord Chu, stop spreading rumours about you helping the Emperor and the Empire when none of the lands in the east are owned by you!"

"Lord Li... That..."

"I heard even the dowry for your elder daughter was provided by Miss Táng here... Can you confirm.?", Chenglei still pushed forward making Lord Chu go pale. He looked at the Emperor who wasn't moved and realised that he already knew about it. But him with his big tongue made stories up to get to the ears of the Emperor saying he helped everyone. And his daughter acted like she owned the whole kingdom.

How shameful!

Lord Chu left with shame that day and died within a month of the fever that attacked the Chu family memebers previously. That same day a tree branch snapped and fell over Chu Zhilan during the banquet making her lame and she killed herself after she learnt that she won't be able walk again.

In the end Chu Weiye was the only one left with the Chu family name and she spent the rest of her life in fear. But that didn't stop her from plotting against Xing using other means.

But in the history books, the name Chu Weiye was never written as she became mentally unstable in the last part of her life making her unsuitable to be remembered as the Empress of the Wind Kingdom. And even though it was the gods who punished the other two Chu family memebers, Xing was responsible for the sudden mental instability of Chu Weiye that lead to her fall from grace.

Chu Weiye the one who was the only woman the Great TongTian Emperor had children with never got the chance to even be remembered in history as decided by Xing who knew that's all Chu Weiye wanted.

When the history books were read, there was once a mighty Empress Huang but there never was an Empress Chu in the history of the Wind Kingdom.
