The sunset is just around the corner, turning the asphalt red.
Tatsuro Hasami and Ai Yashiki were walking home, holding hands as usual.
On one hand, there is a dark-haired boy with a rather fearless face who is about 170 centimeters tall (5’9″).
On the other hand, The girl has a slightly baby-faced face, round eyes, and is about 160 centimeters tall (5’3″). She is a lovely looking girl with long, short-cut black hair.
The two became friends when they sat next to each other in elementary school, and started dating in the first year of junior high school when Tatsuro confessed his feelings for her.
Since then, they have become so close that the people around them envy them.
They graduated from high school together, went to college, got jobs, and got married without any problems.
Everyone imagined that they would have such a natural happiness, and they vaguely thought that they would too.

Such a weird, low, gut-wrenching sound echoed out from the area, and then the earth began to shake.

Immediately, Tatsuro hugged Ai as if to protect her, and then lowered himself to withstand the shaking.

As Ai stiffened in confusion, Tatsuro gently tapped her shoulder with his hand to appease her.
“Don’t worry. Just sit tight and it’ll go away.”

When he saw the anxious expression on the face of the normally fearless girl, he knew he had to be even more firm.
Then, as he looked around to see if there was any problem, he saw a crack in a nearby block wall.
“Ai, the block might fall down. Let’s get somewhere more spacious.”
“Okay!”
When Ai nodded back at him, Tatsuro pointed out the direction to go with his gaze, and they supported each other as they crawled to an open area where there were no objects that could fall.
At that moment. A loud noise came from behind him, and when he turned around, he saw that the block wall had fallen down as expected.
“That was a close call.”
“Yeah.”
With that said, the two of them listened to the sound of collapsing buildings everywhere as a chill ran down their spines.
Then he heard the sound of glass gradually cracking, mixed in with the noise.
“What is this?”
“…?”
There was nothing nearby that could make such a sound, but it was coming from right next to them.
As they were bewildered by the situation, the noise increased and turned into a creaking sound, like a tree falling, and gradually became louder.
Ai felt her skin crawl at the strange sound, and casually looked up to see a strange object mixed in with the scenery.
“—-?! Tatsurou …… what …………is that?”
“——What the hell was that?!”
When he looked in the direction Ai was tremblingly pointing at, Tatsuro’s eyes saw a space that had begun to crack.
“Let’s get out of here!”
He pulled Ai’s arm and looked in the opposite direction to keep his distance from the unidentifiable crack in the space.
But he would soon realize that it was futile.
Cracks had formed all over the space, not to mention in the line of sight, making it difficult to find a place where there were no cracks.
“What the hell is …… this ……?”
“Tatsuro ……”
Ai shivered and grabbed Tatsuro’s sleeve. He held her close to him as if to reassure her, and thought about whether or not he should move.
However, there was no way to come up with a good plan to deal with such a mysterious phenomenon that he had never seen or heard of before, and time just passed by.
In the meantime, the crack was spreading as if to hurry the two of them.
And that’s when it happened.

The sound was so loud that it sounded as if an iron rod had been broken, and a large void appeared in the space right beside Ai.

The void began to widen further as if it was ripping the cloth, and finally swallowed Ai.
When Tatsuro saw this, he desperately grabbed her hand and tried to pull her back, but it didn’t work.

As Ai screamed, Tatsuro tried desperately to save her, but his efforts were futile, and soon the rift swallowed him as well, and the two fell into it as if they had been sucked into it.
